Mikeyfett7 reacted to Rabobankrider in Star Wars: Revan's War OOC
Ok all, I'm going to pause play for the moment with the news about the servers closing. I'm going to set up a new channel on Discord and try to copy the ic thread the the relevant ooc stuff onto there. Gameplay, rates of post etc will continue as normal once it is set up, but it's probably going to take me a little bit to set up and copy everything across. In the mean time you can make your final decision on what to do with the trackers while I sort this.

In response to the expectant looks her way, Andja weighs in on the subject of the trackers that had been discovered
”Without conclusive evidence, my preference would be to jettison all tracking devices, as soon as possible.”
Our mission, though obvious, is deniable.. could be blamed on a group of reckless initiates, without council backing.. don’t think any cavalry will be coming to save us... when did I become so cynical..?!

I'm not sure if it is or isn't Carth's, I think it's worth keeping either way, though. Most of our enemies (that I know of and can think of) have access to better tech, so hopefully it's either an ally or a neutral party.

We might just need to get moving, it's been quite some time.

Silun gives a wave of his hand at the newcomer. "I'm Silun, I'm the pilot of this as yet unnamed luxury liner."
His dewflaps raise into a quick smile, and then he looks back to the group as a whole. "Well, we're about 7 or 8 days out from Cathar. I'm going to take that time to get to know our new ship a little better. While I'm exploring, I'll keep an eye out for anything out of place."

As the group is gathered together investigating the devices, Silun approaches from the direction of the engine room. His robes are quite disheveled, and has a large grease smudge along the top of his head. In spite of that, he is smiling and seems unaware of his appearance. "Ah, good, you found some more! This little stowaway was tucked under a pipe under the engine room floor."
He slides an additional tracker onto the table to join its co conspirators. His interest is then drawn to the jury rigged scanner.
"Oh, that's what you were using, I had wondered what that piece of tech you were toting around the ship was. This is cool, is it built out of... lightsaber parts?"

Silun nods in agreement. "The republic trackers definitely need to go, although the damage may have already been done by the one on the nav consol. Nothing we can do about that now, though. As for the other one, I don't really know. It might be Carth, or any number of other interested people."

@Bellona, sorry, I missed your check there. Two of the trackers (the ones you find) both have republic markers on the circuit boards, probably from manufacturing. The Third one you can't identify, but with the advantage it looks home made, and honestly probably doesn't have great range in comparison.
In terms of your arrival you have arrived at the edge of the system. I currently can't get my map open (I think the site is down), but I think Cathar is close to the edge of the system. Regardless I'm happy to say that you guys arrive being able to see it in the far off distance, perception/travel etc in star wars is never 100% accurate.
Having arrived at the system edge, what do you guys want to do@

It's not always red, either. Many Star Wars games use a green version to indicate bacta containers or other sources of healing. Not that important, just a cool side note.

Skydancer sounds like a good name to me. I put the result of Silun's earlier check in the ic.

Silun Tell reads like it looks. All short vowels.
Sill-unn Tell
I don't know where the stress is to bold it, it's been too long since I've been in an English class.

And let's not tempt fate by calling it HAL 9000 ...

Silun seems to accept this at face value, relaxing quite a bit and continuing to eat. "Oh, that explains a lot. You're from the temple, then?"

I’m waiting on Jedi Ronin and Edgehawk before continuing the conversation too much else we leave them behind.

Zoroku turns to Silun as he asks the question "That’s the first time I’ve been compared to a Duros, usually I’m called out as a red eyed Pantoran.” He says having at him with the aforementioned red eyes. “I am a Chiss, and I’m from what all of you would call the Unknown Region.” Zoroku says as he gestures to his fellow padawans.

"That sounds interesting," Armatta replied slightly distractedly to Zoroku's explanation as she stirred a pot of stew on the galley's stovetop.
She then looked up at Krios and continued, "You were asking earlier about my origins. Well, I wasn't born on any planet, but on a starship, O'bi's Singing Star. You might say that an interest in mechanics and the like is in my blood."
Armatta tasted the stew and nodded in satisfaction before dishing up a bowl for herself, along with some of the re-hydrated and oven-warmed bread.
"Everyone's welcome to the spiced nerf stew, by the way, so long as it suits their species," Armatta indicated the big stew pot. "Anything left over will be refrigerated for another day."
She sat down at the dining table with her food and a glass of water.
"Where was I? Oh, yes. My people are the nomadic Trading Clans, extended families of various species who live on their ships and run various trade routes between the Core and the Rim. I wasn't a firstborn, so when a travelling Jedi hitched a ride with my clan and realised that I was Force sensitive, my family was willing to give me to the Order. I wasn't even one year old at the time. Just over eight years later, Master Seltash Chose me as his padawan. He took me on many missions to the Outer Rim before becoming the Jedi Watchman for one of the systems there. He keeps the peace and identifies Force sensitive children there, while I keep his ship and gear running.
"Speaking of ships, tomorrow I intend to build a hand-held scanner to check for bugs, beacons, trackers, and the like. Considering this ship's recent history, I'd like to be sure that it's clean from a security point of view."
Armatta then started to dig into her food, intent on silencing her hunger, before remembering one more item which she wanted settled soon.
"Oh, one more thing ... what're we going to name this ship? Spacers believe that it's unlucky to travel on a nameless starship," Armatta addressed the question to the group at large.

Silun eagerly scoops some soup into a bowl and grabs a chunk of bread for himself, sitting down to eat. He eagerly listens to the others talking, taking special interest in Zoroku's mention of where he's from.
"Really, the Unknown Regions? That's incredible, it's my dream to make it out that far into unmapped and unexplored territory. Although for you I guess it's not really either of those things. Still, someday it would be really amazing to just jump in a long range starship and book it for the edge of the map."
He takes a slurp of his soup, and seems to consider something for a moment before returning to the conversation.
"You're right, Armatta, a good ship like this deserves a good name. It needs something that's adventurous and elegant, and very Jedi sounding..."
His words once again drift off as he tries to work out a worthy name for the ship they've had for less than a day but that he already has the utmost faith in.
