  1. That'll help if you're going against a swarm fleet. Make those CR90's/Arquitens take as many dice as they're throwing at you. Wouldn't QBT's let you throw a fourth every time?
  2. Garm can work on the Starhawk too, then throw Officer Agate in with LTTs for Salvoing back your defense tokens. I like the Starhawk. It cant take a **** of a beating. Mothma I think is only as good as the total number of evade tokens in your fleet.
  3. I tried it. Mothma didn't really do anything for me. Amity's a good title, but Commander Agate's way stronger imo than Mothma, even with this title, and Walex Blissex plays into her ability. Leading Shots to fix dice on the mix bag of the front hull with LTTs to help salvo the enemy. [flagship] Starhawk-Class Battleship Mark I (140) - Kyrsta Agate (20) - Amity (6) - Leading Shots (4) - Hardened Bulkheads (5) - Strategic Adviser (4) - Walex Blissex (5) - Linked Turbolaser Towers (7) - Local Fire Control (4) = 195 points
  4. Raiders also guard the flanks against smaller faster ships depending on the fleet. If I'm fighting a 6-7 activation fleet, they are to prevent ships from getting around the Vics' front arcs. I had in my a fleet which would move in formation. Two VSD2s have a pretty formidable long range arc apiece, especially with GTs and DCaps. I could get 4 attacks of 6 dice each at long range. I would try to move the Victories in unison as much as possible, but slowly.
  5. I picked blockade run in order to narrow the battlefield but I guess it would be better for me to pick as first player if my opponent. I wasn't sure how the Raiders would fare, but my plan was to have a Versio led Instigator fly into the middle of a squadron ball and shrug off any hit crit black dies with evades while countering and firing back. No redirects needed since I'd try to get them to surround me so all shields get used. Agent Kallus would be in the other raider to fight them off as well. I wouldn't expect Versio to die but just really screw up the bomber's plans. I guess the other option is to just blow the **** out of the carriers. Maybe "rush" them at speed two. I'm trying out this fleet because my goal is to have the two VSDs move at speed one with the raiders in formation with them to cover a larger area of the table. I figure at speed one, I can nav dial constantly to make tight turns at a slow speed. Basically keep the opposing fleet in my front hull zone by any means necessary including ramming. The Harrow is great and I'm building fleets for it, but I want both the VSDs to be moving together. Preferably the Raiders too, but they're also to break off if needed. I also came up with a fleet with a couple TIEs and the raiders carrying RHDs. Only a 5 point bid though. 6. I'd add leading shots, and then switch out caitken and shollan for local fire control. Drop a rogue and fit leia in and the tantive IV title. Officer Leia was made for Starhawks. I'd add a title like Amity so at the very least you get another defense token. You're going to need them.
  7. I had an idea for using two similar VSD2 with disposable capacitators and gunnery teams. They'd cover each other's inner flank while the Raider 1s would cover the outer flank including ramming a ship trying to get around and provide anti-squadron protection if necessary. I'd keep each ship about distance three apart and maybe deploy to one edge. I'd try to keep the VSD's at speed one and nav dial constantly and have the raiders follow in formation along and break off if need be to stop a bomber group. 8. What about this fleet? Basically send a Foresight MC30 and four Hammerheads with Ex racks pointed at the enemy at a high speed. Use Sato and scatter aces and Hera to convert to black dice. Hammerheads could fire 6 black dice with a con fire dial and ex racks and have a reroll with ordnance experts. I'd leave one blue die on the foresight to lock the brace down with the H9. 11. What about a Sato fleet with a couple scatter aces, an MC30 and four hammerhead torpedoes with Ex racks that could potentially each throw 5 black dice from the front?
  12. I honestly just wanted Biggs to keep Wedge alive for longer. Rogue Squadron I put in because its cheap enough to fit in and doesn't require a ship to make it move and shoot. I wanted to keep my non-rogues to three. Luke I didn't add because I'm figuring most of my antiship stuff is the Starhawk anyways. I'm more concerned about getting B-wing'd or Sloane'd to death.
  13. I was worried about not having a smaller ship to deal with other smaller ships. 14. I was more going for the Dutch/Wedge combo twice. If my squadrons get to bomb, then I'm probably in pretty good shape.
