Hi, I'm in a campaign right now with a character I want to eventually spec into beast rider. Riding animals seems to come with more draw backs than boons but I still think it would be neat to trudge around the planet where the game takes place on a Kybuck or something. That said, me wanting to get any and every advantage I can out of the beast riding, went looking at the beast only maneuvers. Trample I saw in one of the stat blocks of the provided animals but I didn't find the "climb" special ability in any them despite the narrative blurb in the Varactyl's stat block about it being able to climb. So I was wondering if I was missing something in the description of which animals can leap/climb or if there's just no animals in the book that can do so. Thank you in advance for any help you can send my way.

"Thank you. Though I don't think that skill will be very useful surrounded by living statues." the small padawan said as he felt the force flow through him. His force powers weren't anything to write home about, he had enough prowess to make due but giving a cautionary probe he figured he didn't have enough power to to launch something far enough to hit the monster at the other end of the pit. Due to this, Vinteer stepped farther into the belly of the beast and closer to the incoming horde. With a mostly effortless move, he flung one of the many discarded chunks of statue at the unknown figure. His aim was good enough as it connected with the figure though he was now in a bad spot with the incoming horde. I'm really hoping I can live up to your praise Master Gux Vinteer thought bringing his lightsaber up once more, ready to defend himself from the statues.

Toss some broken statue at Unknown figure with Move: 4eA+1eB+1eD+1eF 3 successes, 1 advantage, 1 Light Side @Rabobankrider Assuming I did everything right and this chump has 0 soak that's 5 damage. Also I'll use that advantage to pass a boost onto @Jedi Ronin. Also let me know if I screwed up anywhere, like I said before I haven't monkeyed around with force powers very much to I might be delusional here.

Oh man I don't think I can reach any of them then, I don't have any upgrades into range so the farthest I can affect with a move is short range. I think I'll just move in one range band into short then lob something at the unknown figure. EDIT: Scratch that, I didn't realize I did have a rank in range haha, I'm gonna go ahead with the aim and toss

The scene before Vinteer was gruesome to say the least and if he had been faced with it even a year ago he likely would have flown into a fearful frenzy against the beast that now stood before Caieous. Through great effort Vinteer suppressed his emotions, focusing on the danger at hand before anything else. He made a dash for his lightsaber, of which he saw next to his fallen master's. Once sufficiently close, Vinteer used his control over the force to pull the weapon to his hand.

Here's my roll. I removed one setback dice from @Jedi Ronin's lightsaber lighting things up and the other two use Chadra-Fan's Acute Senses. @Rabobankrider lemme know if that's good enough to see tall dark and scary and I'll do my fear check as well. Also I just want to make sure, the perception check counted as my action right? Assuming that's the case, Vinteer sees Bobby Boils and, he doesn't fail his fear check I'll have him move a range band closer to his lightsaber. Trying to make out the figures in the dark: 2eA+2eD 2 successes, 1 threat

Getting his wits about him, Vinteer got to his feet and headed in the direction of the shouting. He didn't like the feeling he was getting from this place, wether that was the force or just his nerves this cave gave him bad vibes. His Master was sure to be around here though Vinteer wasn't looking forward to telling him that he'd lost his saber. As he got closer to where the shouting had been coming from he crouched down and did his best to keep his approach unknown to whoever was here. Better to be safe than sorry just in case the shouting wasn't from a friend of Master Heave.

The Circuit (OOC)
rocketrobie2 replied to Rabobankrider's topic in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire Beginner Game
Hate to see it go but love to watch it leave. I hear ya man, my workload's been steadily increasing with classes so I understand. I'd love to join one of the other games so I'll give them a look over before making a character and letting ya know which one I'd like to join. Thanks again by the way for the fun, I really loved playing Yoomnuff and RPing with the team.
