Rise Against the Reach OOC
rocketrobie2 replied to Edgehawk's topic in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion Beginner Game
I am/was the exact same way. SWFFG is a big leap in my opinion from DnD and it's rough getting used to all the new and different rules. I think the thing that's helped the most for me is just repletion and asking questions. -
Rise Against the Reach OOC

That's pretty much exactly what I was picturing. I was imagining the medbay being pretty close in size to the one on Enterprise and everyone was just pummelling the crab in some small room. -
Rise Against the Reach IC

The Dark Trooper sat mostly lifeless, slumped against the wall as the others rushed for the medbay. Having been though mechanical torture since touchdown at Watercrest, DT2-01O saw this period of deactivation as something of a vacation. That being said, he could also feel something in him had changed. New routines replacing old ones, wires hap-hazardously crimped together and his onboard self-repair systems working in over drive. After a few minutes of blissful rest, the droid was ready to get back on its feet. DT2-01O reached behind and grabbed it's weapon off it back as it marched towards the commotion in medbay. Without so much as a word the droid fired a blast as soon as it entered the room, missing by millimetres but still continuing its advance. "Your move, creature." was uttered by the approaching machine. -

Firing on the crab (hopefully): 3eP+1eA+1eC+1eD 0 successes, 4 advantage Missed setback from knockover: 1eS 0 successes Slick, didn't get any worse: -1 adv on Suppressing Fire, dealing 1 strain damage -2 adv on an extra maneuver to move into short range of the crab -1 adv to pass on a boost -

I just did a roll for firing on the guy but I missed @MrTInce's blurb about using knockdown on the crab. I'll wait to reroll my roll if he ends up knocking the crab over (or I can just roll a separate setback and add it). Sorry for jumping the gun there! -

Good to be here! I won't be able to post proper for a few hours but what range band would DT2-01O start at when entering the conflict? @Edgehawk -

Vinteer was in a lot of pain at the moment. Not so much from the lightning itself but from his own body doing it's best to break the binds that held it. His strength wasn't anything to write home about but using his limited abilities of the force and with the rousing, though fearful, words of Caieous, the small Padawan broke free from the unknown figure's grasp. Having broken the spell, Vinteer began to retreat back to the others, hoping a unified front would work better at taking down the seemingly endless hordes of statues.
-
Vinteer's attention was immediately drawn to the master's attack. He wasn't as in tune with the force as some others but even he could feel the shade behind Caieous' attack. With bigger fish to fry though, the padawan rushed and weaved in between the statues making his way towards one of the many unknown figures that populated the cavern. Without anything to go on for attacking the right figure, Vinteer instead went by the seat of his pants and lobbed some more statue parts at him. The shards passed straight through them, almost brining Vinteer to curse though he managed to hold it. He was hoping the clones would be able to get down quick so they could pool their fire power better.

Thanks! This helped and looking at one of the other powers I realized they'd just use the force pip icon multiple times if it costed more. I kept reading the description and thinking they were asking you to use a non-descript amount. Thanks for the help guys! EDIT: Also, looking over the rules on tossing objects, since I can only throw sil 0 objects shouldn't my difficulty on my roll had been 0? EDIT2: Also here's my roll for hitting the right guy, close but no cigar! Trying to hit the right guy: 1d6 5

@Rabobankrider Where can I find the pip requirement in the book? It might be right in front of me and I'm just missing it but for the life of me I can't figure out where it is listed. Also, since I only rolled one light side pip wouldn't that mean I'm only able to move the object thrown but not throw it?
-
@Rabobankrider I'm going to make the move. I'd need a really good role to do anything to the statues and I figure it better to take a shot at one of these guys and hope for the best. So I'll make move closer to one of the figures and lob some chunks of statue at 'em. Toss some broken statue at Unknown figure with Move: 4eA+1eB+1eD+1eF 1 success, 1 advantage, 1 Light Side Still unsure about exactly how force powers work but I think I hit that guy (or fake) for 5 damage.

Can Varactyl's climb?
rocketrobie2 replied to rocketrobie2's topic in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG
Yeah, basically what I'd been wondering was wether they could per RAW rules. I didn't see anything that said they could and there was some specific ruling in stay on target about it -
Can Varactyl's climb?

My biggest concern about it was the mention of needing a specific climbing special ability in the beast riding blurb of Stay on target.
