  1. I have this overspecialized thingy on that theme. So far it has completely annihilated some fleets (SSDs especially), and been really hard to make work against others. BT is on both MC75 because I sometimes need that redundancy pretty badly. Name: Raddus Dual BTMC75s All Ship Faction: Rebel Commander: Admiral Raddus Assault: Most Wanted Defense: Contested Outpost Navigation: Solar Corona MC75 Armored Cruiser (104) • Admiral Raddus (26) • Strategic Adviser (4) • Boarding Troopers (3) • Electronic Countermeasures (7) • External Racks (3) • Leading Shots (4) • Profundity (7) = 158 Points CR90 Corvette B (39) • Ezra Bridger (3) • Overload Pulse (8) = 50 Points MC75 Armored Cruiser (104) • Toryn Farr (7) • Boarding Troopers (3) • Electronic Countermeasures (7) • External Racks (3) • Leading Shots (4) • Aspiration (3) = 131 Points GR-75 Medium Transports (18) • Leia Organa (3) • Comms Net (2) = 23 Points GR-75 Medium Transports (18) • Ahsoka Tano (2) • Comms Net (2) = 22 Points Squadrons: = 0 Points Total Points: 384
  2. As someone who would like more campaign stuff and thematic scenarios (not to mention RPG-crossover use), my main wish would actually be a generalized "minor powers" sort of fraction encompassing everything from civillians to scum and local defense forces. Transports, off-brand warships, bulk freighters converted to carriers, diplomatic yachts, you name it. Add unique titles, officers and squadrons of specific sub factions, and this could be quite a flexible setup for all sorts of fun stuff. I don't really feel Hutts, Dark Sun or quite a bit of the other likely suspects would be able to make a proper faction anyway, so I think most of them would be more suited to just be a theme to this kind of faction.
  3. Oh, ****! I've been playing that wrong (and subsequently failing to read it correctly when I checked up on it after watching this video)! I'm glad to be corrected, but that certainly makes double-brace aces a little harder to shoot down. Well deserved!
  4. I think you might be playing Sloane slightly wrong. At least according to CGYSO, if Sloane spends a token, the defender cannot spend an identical token, as a defense token cannot be spent more than once per attack. Anyway, I watch everything you guys make and enjoy it a lot! It has a slower pacing than MOTF and Crabbok, which lets me take in the action a little more, but is still sharply edited so there isn't really any downtime. Usually, it's either the fast cuts, or the completely unedited stuff, so you have really found a niche I appreciate. I wish more reports hit that sweet spot 🙂
  5. Was that Sloane at 1:40 in the gameplay trailer?
  6. I'm a little skeptical in general, but the lead developer listing X-wing and TIE Fighter as his main inspiration, and the game fully supporting HOTAS makes me cautiously optimistic. Also, he explicitly talks about FFGs X-wing as something they mined for inspiration. https://www.polygon.com/interviews/2020/6/18/21295900/star-wars-squadrons-everything-you-need-to-know
  7. Thank you so much! I'll look around as soon as the kids are in bed.
  8. Hey, everybody! Does anybody know of any video, stream or other kind of visual AAR showing a good example of an archertypical 2-Ship in action? Preferably one who pulls off a Pryce set on turn 1, but any will do. I'm sure they are all over the place, but it's proven kinda hard for me to just google up.
  9. Hey, all. I'm heading into my first game with an SSD, and have kinda settled on a build I'm comfortable with. The local meta has few activations with one or two heavy hitters (ISD, Glad) and perhaps a raider, plus a medium to large, mostly rogue heavy squadball of Firesprays, decimators or defenders. Aces are rare for some reason. In my limited experience I've never seen anyone but me field more than one. Bids are usually none or a point or two, but I've seen 392 once. For this reason, I've decided to forgo Kallus, but also make LTT mandatory. Most of the list is a straight JJ Ravager list, but the first one uses Krennic, Intel Officer and XI7s to try to be able to kill the main enemy battleship very, very quickly - applying serious damage - even at long range - as second player. The second is a jankier one, using Palpatine, Overload Pulse and QBT with a little bit of a stronger bid for first. Both effectively have four activations, which I expect might actually out-activate my opponent, though this is by no means a sure thing. Which one should I use? Or should I do something else? And any general advice for someone flying this for the first time? Name: JJ Krennic XI7 Faction: Imperial Commander: Moff Jerjerrod Assault: Advanced Gunnery Defense: Rift Ambush Navigation: Solar Corona SSD Assault Prototype (250) • Moff Jerjerrod (23) • Director Krennic (8) • Damage Control Officer (5) • Intel Officer (7) • Gunnery Team (7) • Point-Defense Reroute (5) • Quad Laser Turrets (5) • Leading Shots (4) • SW-7 Ion Batteries (5) • Linked Turbolaser Towers (7) • XI7 Turbolasers (6) • Ravager (4) = 336 Points Gozanti Cruisers (23) • Darth Vader (1) • Repair Crews (4) = 28 Points Gozanti Cruisers (23) • Admiral Titus (2) • Comms Net (2) = 27 Points Squadrons: = 0 Points Total Points: 391 Name: JJ Palpatine Overload Faction: Imperial Commander: Moff Jerjerrod Assault: Advanced Gunnery Defense: Rift Ambush Navigation: Solar Corona SSD Assault Prototype (250) • Moff Jerjerrod (23) • Emperor Palpatine (3) • Damage Control Officer (5) • Intel Officer (7) • Gunnery Team (7) • Point-Defense Reroute (5) • Quad Laser Turrets (5) • Leading Shots (4) • Overload Pulse (8) • Linked Turbolaser Towers (7) • Quad Battery Turrets (5) • Ravager (4) = 333 Points Gozanti Cruisers (23) • Darth Vader (1) • Repair Crews (4) = 28 Points Gozanti Cruisers (23) • Admiral Titus (2) • Comms Net (2) = 27 Points Squadrons: = 0 Points Total Points: 388
  10. Lol! I have absolutely no idea how I would fly this efficiently. Also, no idea how I could physically field so many Hammerheads. It's rather different conceptually than the previous swarm lists, but I totally get why you prefer having a single robust ship for your admiral. Also makes it much easier for your forces to converge simultaneously on a single center of gravity than with the swarms.
  11. Life/work suddenly happened all at once, so I didn't get to answer this properly as fast as I hoped, but I really appreciate the full answer. The Dcaps/Sato combo looks really fun/terrifying, and I can't wait to try it. Newbie question: how much worse would this be if you replaced all of the Ordnance Experts with Task Force Organa? You don't reroll more than two dice out of a small pool all that often, and your flagship will probably be tailing anyway, and can probably exhaust to reroll without consequence even if all other ships are within firing range. It would free up 15 additional points.
  12. I liked it a lot, and maximising a fearsome alpha strike appeals a lot to me. I don't think I can scrounge up more than two Dcap cards, though. Maybe I'll try it later sometimes. This looks terrifying! I'm unsure how to fly Sato, and have nover played with proximity mines, so there's a lot of unknowns to me here, but six shooters with black dice, ordnance experts and APTs at long range must rip stuff apart. How has it been working for you? Edit: Since you seldom roll more than two black dice per attack with that setup anyway, how would Task Force Organa work as a replacement for Ordnance Experts? It could free up 18 points.
  13. This is interesting! I wasn't able to google up a list of it. Does anybody know of it?
  14. The most potent first strike version of this I can come up with based on the good suggestions here would be the Disposable Capacitor version, perhaps even with Task Force Organa for additional dice control, which could be squeezed in at 399 points. The safer and more robust would be no DCs, Rieekan plus projection experts on the Pelta, for 389.
