PhoenixOfCopper reacted to Aladdynsane in Sep Suppression Build
Good points. I have Vital Assets and Priority Supplies coming in the mail as we speak, so my goal is to have our play group take objectives more seriously going forward. We play with them now... most of the time... but seem to always end up playing the "hold this point" objective more than anything. Some new objectives and a solid bid with this list would really give me the chance to decide how I want to play.

Naked b1s are good for going early to buy time to activate your key pieces, chaining orders, giving orders to snipers, and doing objectives and esteemed leader damage transfer. I love b1s but I always have a purpose. Naked b1s, in the open, on average need between 6 to 8 hits to delete the unit. That means they need to hide and do their job as long as possible.
This game is an objective game, so aslong as you have one unit left alive, and you have more points you win. That being said I would first decide if you are going to bid or not. If you do bid, bid as hard as you can comfortably. With a high bid you need to then build your battle plan deck.
Now that you have these processes done it's time to build your army. Every unit in your army needs a role. Start by planning the purpose of each unit you select in your army for several different objectives you play. For example 2 naked b1s could be back capers for a few objectives.
The suppression game is grate but use it to mask your true strategy, not to be the only strategy.

Very good point on the activations, and especially on Grievous. I don't know why I didn't think of him at first.
Regarding 3 Droidekas, possible snipers, etc... would it be better to simply run more naked B1's? I think you can get this up to 10 activations if you cut a droideka and run naked B1's. That being said, I do like Droidekas and think they'll only get buffed (in some waY) in the future, so maybe that triple threat supressing people would make up for the lack of B1's?

PhoenixOfCopper reacted to Welshie13 in updated rrg and errata cards
Well they sorted out a few obvious issues such as the range confusion for Jedi Mind Trick (it is still R1-2) and B2 heavy duplication on cost changes, so I guess they got most of the typos etc too. Will take time to check.
The printable cards are exactly what people wanted. Easy to do, helpful for all.

I have a strange idea for the AT-AT modle.
Could we get a model that is up to scale but is not the full modle? Something that ends a little past the shoulder of the front legs. The card would have the key word stationary to eliminate the need for figuring out movement. The idea the vehicle is so big and slow any movement during the 6 turns would be negligible. Having the figure fight from deployment also gives the feel of the long range attack against the shield generator on hoth.
I know I'll get some hate because the community wants a full modle to stomp on their enemies. I dont think a modle that big works in the same way with our current rules. Base size alone prevents clean deployment and movement on a table with normal amount of terrain for competitive standards.
Just my 2 cents.

I love the site. My favorite list builder.
A quicker or more visible way to switch factions while list building would be nice.
Also maybe a way to build two lists at the same time. My wife and I play together and like to compare and talk about the lists before we play.

Title says it all.
Does anyone know of a site where the new errata cards are scaled and ready to print?

PhoenixOfCopper reacted to RyantheFett in New RRG
Oh wow they really did change a crap ton of things. Really impressive and a little sad that this will be the last thing we get from the developers before we enter the unknown. But they go out on a high note!
Stray observations from a baddy casual so take it with a lot of salt:
GAR
The elephant in the room. Did they hit GAR hard enough to allow more diversity in the meta? Pretty sure we will know soon enough, but I like to think they did. Can't wait to see what the meta looks like after this! CIS
As a pusher of CIS being the most balanced/fun faction I look at the changes and go yup still best lol. Nice that B2s got some love. Droidekars oh boy looks fun, but not sure if they compete with the STAPs Oh sweet tank commander!!! Rebels
So Han and Jyn..... meh I guess? Like Cassian is right there at 90 and we know Lando is right around the corner, so I would have liked a little more. Jyn gets better as Cassian's 2nd detachment lol. Poor airspeeder. After two point changes it goes down 45, get a free harpoon (use to be 8!), immune to range 1, surge to crit, and a rule change to its movement, BUT we are still like.....it could be better lol. At this point I am glad the poor thing is now at least mediocre and I can't wait to give it another try. Drive by gunning Han......... nice. Landspeeder will at least be crazy fun to try some of the crazy combos lol. Chewbacca, Sabine, pathfinders, vets, and wooks all look nice. Feels like the faction has some real options now across the board. Empire
Faction I know least about so not much to say. Will be interesting to see if they buffed the units enough to fight GAR or take the place of shores. Palp blasting lighting from the back of the tank............. nice. If I have home wish for the meta it is just that. -

I hope they keep the bases that they already use, with each faction getting its own base color. I know mcp has nice bases, but I already have a system down for my bases and want my armies to look the same. I mask of the rim of each base before priming. It's going to be had to match CIS purple ever time I buy new units.

PhoenixOfCopper got a reaction from Dark Don in Hit the Accelerator!
You might have bought it at the right time. With the rrg this could be sought after model. If its points are fixed and there is better synergy with r2 their may be a viable list that focuses on it carrying r2 to the enemy deployment and back

Could the juyo mastery be a nod at the fight scenes with Ray Park having to be slowed down to be more viewable in the fantom menace move? Three actions would be a funny way to say that maul is faster then most jedi.

I wonder if maul will have entourag:probe droids.
I also want to see a leader with entourage 2: b1 battle droids.
