  1. Obligations go in front of the player that was deal it as an encounter card. Fear of Kang only applies to the player that has the obligation. Kang only gains bonuses for the obligations in front of you specifically, not the other players at the table.
  2. Hood is essentially the primary Avengers antagonist during the Bendis years, so he’s a reasonably big deal. I’m excited for him. They’ve probably hit most of the major female Avengers already to be fair - while there are lots of others, they’re mostly fairly minor characters (and lots are already allies...) Photon I guess. Sersi maybe (although she’s more linked with the Eternals)...
  3. It’s definitely a reference to Thanos. Whether it’s a product that includes him or just more foreshadowing in some way is debatable, but I’d probably expect it to include him...
  4. That’s certainly an interesting list. Will be interesting to see if it matches what we see next - I could definitely see a Hood Scenario pack and a Vision hero pack. Venom as a hero is an interesting choice - are we talking Flash Thompson as Agent Venom or more like a Eddie Brock ‘Lethal Protector’ kind of thing? Either way, he’s already in some villain art, so appearing first as a hero would certainly be a surprise move... A Nebula hero back is also curious - this will be the first hero who is also available as a villain.
  5. I’ve bought the original big mat and a single character mat which I’ve found is enough space generally for 2 handed / 2 player games. I might pick up another character one at some point, but I’m not buying them for every character. I use them every time I play - makes it a bit easier to pick up cards and keep them clean, etc.
  6. I could see it potentially- especially where they release an ally version of one of the heroes - like say an upcoming hero pack contains among its extra cards a single copy of Captain America (Leadership Ally) instead of 3 copies of another card. That leaves 2 spots for them to include 2 copies of a hypothetical “Repulsor Ricochet” team up card for Captain America and Iron Man... Whether they would do it is another matter... Team up cards are already very niche in terms of deck building which is okay for a few cards (I.e like Sorcerer Supreme, which currently only one hero can use, and we’ve got to imagine only a limited pool will ever be able to use), but they won’t want to be releasing too much stuff that’s so restricted... On the other hand, it does open up opportunities to hot fix certain characters that could use help - for example a title that can only be given to a ‘Gamma’ hero or a Hulk / She-Hull team up card would be a buff to these heroes that they only need to balance for those heroes, and not the wider hero pool...
  7. I mean, I expect they’d be selling them if they has sufficient copies printed and shipped - the set was obviously designed a while ago...
  8. No reason given, but the updated release schedule is: - January- Wasp - February- Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch - March - Galaxies Most Wanted Presumably it’s just delays as we’ve seen with many many of their other products over the years.
  9. It’s the Bounty Hunter Knot from Legendary Starlord and it’s the Mandalay Crystal, which was something he was after...
  10. Whoever it is will be Guardians related - that’s the theme of this cycle...
  11. It doesn’t work with Hulk Smash, which is kind of the point I think...
  12. He’s very minor in the comics. The modern version (based on the movie version) was only introduced around 2018. The original version was very different from the movie version, from the future Guardians team created in the ‘70’s.
  13. Potentially... it’s not a physical resource though. The ability to trade a spare card this turn for an extra card next turn is pretty good for Hulk though...
  14. Potentially- there’s a lot of cards in there and we’ve really only seen a tiny fraction of them so far...
  15. I would bet good money Star Lord, Gamora and Drax are 3 of the next 4 heroes. I would be massively shocked if all 3 aren’t hero packs.
  16. But will we get a scenario pack in between like we did this time? And if so, what will it be?
  17. Either that or something like ‘add a rage token every time you start the hero phase in Hero form. Hulk’s hand size is +1 for each rage token. When he switches to alter ego remove all rage tokens from Hulk’ - with a max of say 5 - that way your hand size grows as he gets angrier and more powerful, but it all goes away when he changes back...
  18. Presumably Victory will work like it does in Arkham Horror and Lord if the rings - you’ll be rewarded in ‘units’ for each scenario and you’ll add the points in the victory display to the units you get as your standard reward. It also means the minion is removed from the game on defeat rather than put back into the discard which we’ve already seen on the sleeper, but like hinder this tidied up the wording a bit...
  19. Yeah that’s cool - apart from restricted nothing seems to limit these though so you could equip 2 and exhaust them both for +4 attack as well which is quite nice...
  20. Do you mean Mean Swing to not use up a charge when you don’t need the overkill? Because they both require it to exhaust... I do like a red tech card though - Iron Man is slowly getting some more options around the other aspects!
  21. I like a lot of the ideas they had for Hulk, I just think it really comes down to an issue where it’s a little hard to do anything. I think you could keep the theme, but make him a bit better if you gave Hulk immune to stun and draw a card whenever he takes damage (to represent his growing rage) and swapped Banner’s ability for “You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry! - Discard a card to search your deck or discard pile for a copy of Limitless Strength and add it to your hand. Shuffle your deck” That way you could keep the feeling of a desperate scientist getting by on his wits and an uncontrollable monster, but with the ability to have some more explosive turns...
  22. It’s probably fine in certain Protection builds, but I don’t think you can just throw it in... Between it, electrostatic armour and counter punch you could start to get a fair amount of damage off defending...
  23. It’s probably better if it’s just the flavour text for the cards... it would make talking about any of them pretty hard... Looks pretty crazy good as a product! 7 new modular sets? 28 cards in the market? There’s a lot of exciting stuff here!
  24. Yes, that’s still useful, at least while you’re setting up.
  25. If something is too good to be true, it usually is. I don’t see any way to read “remove from the campaign log” as something you can do more than once, and it’s absolutely part of the cost to pay the ability (as per the costs section in the rules reference).
