    The future

I wish, but from what I've seen the dinosaur house focuses more on capturing and exalting.

Okay, I've had this idea for a house for a while and I think it would be really cool. I want to see a house that focuses on artifacts. For example, it could have an artifact that let's you use one of your other artifacts out of house, or have creatures to ready exhausted artifacts. Maybe it could return artifacts from your graveyard or let you use single use artifacts twice. Maybe it could have something for artifacts that work the same way as upgrades or something. It would be pretty hard to balance, but I think it would be really cool and bring in some new twists. As far as design goes I want to see some kind of ancient culture. Maybe like the Aztecs or Mayans or something. Or maybe Egypt. I think that they would all work well with the artifact thing because they can have ancient "Artifacts of Power" that could be like actual artifacts left over from their civilizations. It's just a thought, but I think it would be really cool.
  3. I don't think so. My advice would be to look at the list of stores in your area that have it and then go look at their facebook pages and/or websites. Look at their posts and events and see if the mention Keyforge events. That's what I did and I was able to find three different stores near me. It is a little tedious, but I don't know of a better way
  4. I was on the Master Vault the other day and I saw a name that I thought was really funny. Can't remember the whole name, but it started with "Whaa" and I was curious if other decks had "Whaa" in their names. I searched it and found that there were a decent amount of other decks that had it in the name. Then I noticed something really interesting. Every single deck that had "Whaa" had mars as one of it's houses. I had never seen or heard of anything like this before and haven't been able to find anything since. This lead me to a question. Are there certain words that only appear in the names of decks that have a specific house? I just thought this was really interesting and wanted to share it with everyone. If you know of any other word that only appears in decks with a certain house let me know. I've tried a couple of other random words I thought might work (Like librarian only being for logos, knight only being for sanctum) but so far I haven't had any luck.
  5. So, now that age of ascension has been out for a little while now, I wanted to take a look at this again. I think that shadows actually was balanced out in Age of Ascension. I haven't had time to do a full analysis like I did before, but taking a quick look at the number of decks that have 3+ chains they look a lot more equal then last time. Yes, as of the time I'm posting this, shadows is around 200 decks more than the average but that is a much smaller margin, even considering there are less decks in general, then it was before. This could also be, and this is just a hypothesis, because people got used to shadows playstyle or still think it is much more dominant. We'll definitely need more time to see but at this point it looks like it might have gotten more balanced.
  6. I would say three. The problem with number two is that the card says "and" not "then". If it had said "destroy an artifact, then a creature, then an upgrade" then the order would matter. Since it doesn't I lean towards number three. Since it is all coming from one card they would happen simultaneously.
  7. The idea of putting chains on decks with powerful cards is interesting, but I think it would be hard to implement. Sometimes those cards just don't work. I have a deck with Library Access that is probably my absolute worst deck. The cards just aren't that great and they don't work together. It would be unfair to give that 6 chains and make it power level one. I could never get it that high at tournaments because it is a bad deck. Just because it has library access or bait and switch doesn't mean a deck is guaranteed to win. Here is the deck I am referring to. Maybe it's good for other people, but it's my least favorite https://www.keyforgegame.com/deck-details/44fb126d-292c-40b4-9ed0-e62e6f2d4447
  8. As far as a limit on playing cards in a turn, they have that. It's called the rule of 6. This makes it possible for people to still pull off cool combos without creating infinite loops. I don't think saying cards don't go to the discard until the end of the turn is a good idea. Some of my best turns have been using natures call to send dust pixie or flaxia back to my hand, play them, and then use nepenthe seed or witch of the eye to repeat this effect. I don't think this is broken in any way shape or form. Honestly it just comes down to seeing those cards in your hand or on the field and putting together the best way to make them work for you. This play also requires at least one turn set up so it is easily possible to stop it from happening.

If you don't like the game, go somewhere else. I don't get why you are here complaining if you hate the game. If it's so bad go play magic or yugioh or something. Here's the thing. Yes some decks seem better than others. This is a fact. This is why I definitely have some preferred decks. The thing is that every deck has a weakness. Some are very susceptible to board clears. Others can be easily beaten if you swamp them with a large board. Part of this game is understanding both your deck and your opponents deck well enough to find those chinks in their armor and utilize them
  10. You would go to discard it, but then it would be leaving your opponent's archives and would come back to you. It doesn't say it comes back when your opponent picks up their archives, only when your card leaves the archives

It seems like you're missing the point. The idea is that each deck is different and has different strengths and weaknesses. It all comes down to knowing those strengths and weaknesses and how to best utilize this. I'll admit some decks are better than others, but that's not a big enough gap that clever gameplay can't overcome it. Also, the majority of decks are good. I find it to be more rare to find a really bad deck then a really good deck. I've even won games with my worst decks playing against some of my friends best, while his best have beaten my best. A lot of the game comes down to skill and knowing how to play the game well and how to pilot your deck well.
  12. Problem with politics is that it would take too much time. I'd have to actually pretend to be responsible and productive instead of wasting all my time analyzing things like keyforge Do you really think there is really no advantage shadows has over the others? Stealing seems a really overpowered mechanic in Keyforge. It not only takes Amber from your opponent, but gives it to you. This makes it worth double either gaining amber or making your opponent lose amber. Capturing only works for one turn so I'd say stealing is like four times more powerful than capturing. There are definitely decks without shadows that work great, but I'm just thinking on average. Having such a high steal count seems to put it way above the other houses. To have a competitive deck without it you need a lot of really good cards in the other houses. Granted, just because something has shadows doesn't make it great, but it gives it a much better chance.
  13. True, but that is the exception more so than the norm. I did an analysis for my statistics class and found that the chance of having as many shadows decks in decks with more than 6 chains, if the houses were all equally powerful is .0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000642% chance. This shows that, for the most part, a deck that has shadows is much more likely to be powerful and do well in tournaments than one without Here is the full analysis Keyforge Stats.docx
  14. As most people have figured out at this point Shadows has a very distinct advantage over all of the other houses. Does this bug anyone else? Personally it kinda frustrates me. I enjoy playing Untamed, Dis, Logos, or Sanctum far more than Shadows, but to be competitive I have to. I've been wondering, and hoping for, a balancing of shadows in Age of Ascension. Does anyone else want to see this? Also how likely is it for this to happen? Are there any other houses that you think should be balanced?
