  1. If you're talkin' scum, then why not what I consider the best bomber in the game? Emon Azzameen (Firespray) with the Andrasta title and bombs/mines to taste? Then just add whatever else fits. Everyone LOVES Boba Fett and forgets there's other pilots for the Firespray. Emon is a great heavy-duty bomber that can throw a good primary punch front OR rear! Here's something I've done pretty good with. . . Han Solo (48) Trick Shot (4) 0-0-0 (5) BT-1 (2) Shield Upgrade (4) Lando’s Millennium Falcon (3) Emon Azzameen (71) Bomblet Generator (5) Hull Upgrade (5) Andrasta (3) Skull Squadron Pilot (47) Fearless (3) Total: 200 View in Yet Another Squad Builder 2.0 Han circulates around the outside shooting into the obstacle field, Emon tries to get ships to chase him, and the Fang gives extra cover to whichever piece of bait gets taken.
  2. I never played 1st edition, but I hear Maarek Stele was in the Defender. As a fan of the best TIE Advanced pilot NOT named Vader, this is a thing I want to happen again.
  3. When I think Terex, I think The Carrion Spike. Then they tease us by putting it in the background of the card art! He should really be scum and villainy with his own ship. Seems like a strange choice for a First Order shuttle pilot.
  4. Thanks for that! With Ved's movement being a bit unpredictable on the flank it does work better that way.
  5. How about 4 TIE X1 instead of 5? I've been doing pretty good with this. Flown in 2 groups of 2. Vader with Storm Ace wingman. Maarek Stele and Zertik Strom wingman. The Maarek/ Zertik combo can be surprisingly dangerous on the flank while your opponent concentrates on removing Vader. Darth Vader (67) Fire-Control System (2) Maarek Stele (45) Fire-Control System (2) Zertik Strom (41) Fire-Control System (2) Storm Squadron Ace (39) Fire-Control System (2) Total: 200 View in Yet Another Squad Builder 2.0
  6. Oh ****. . .you're right. I put up the wrong list. 😐 Emon Azzameen (71) Boba Fett (4) Seismic Charges (3) Andrasta (3) Proton Bombs (5) Kad Solus (54) Outmaneuver (6) Serissu (41) Intimidation (3) Hull Upgrade (7) Tractor Beam (3) Total: 200 View in Yet Another Squad Builder 2.0
  7. I don't have a Contraband Cybernetics card, and I think the double focus off of red moves is worth the five points since those Fang fighters sort of live off of the focus. It makes the Outmaneuver work even better when I can swing around behind someone with a 2 - Talon and have a focus to modify the shot. I have flown the list with a Skull/ Fearless and put the extra points into Snap Shot for Serissu. It works pretty well too.
  8. Holy $%#@! Thank you for that awesome mathing! I knew it had to be a lot, but over 700,000 options for ONE ship? No wonder it's so hard for me to choose a good list.
  9. Apologies. I guess I thought since text comes up when you hover over the title link, I could just be an inconsiderate $%#@& and forget all forum protocol.
  10. Has anyone ever gone to the trouble to find out how many possible combinations of ships, pilots, and upgrades there are in this game? I was wondering this after reading about the massive amount of effort put into discovering that some dice DO roll better than others. . .
  11. When are bombs ever truly worth their value? When you fly Emon Azzameen. I'm a big fan of bombs. They may not do much damage, but they make your opponents adjust to them. You have affected your opponent before the first obstacle is placed. You are influencing how things will play out as soon as they know what your list is. . .even if you never drop a single bomb and especially if they are flying a swarm of unshielded ships. Here's my favorite Hyperspace list right now. It's fun. Boba Fett crew makes the first turn interesting. Emon Azzameen (71) Boba Fett (4) Seismic Charges (3) Hull Upgrade (5) Andrasta (3) Proton Bombs (5) Joy Rekkoff (52) Outmaneuver (6) Serissu (41) Hull Upgrade (7) Tractor Beam (3) Total: 200 View in Yet Another Squad Builder 2.0

    Tie Bombers?

I love the TIE bombers. I usually fly 2 Scimitar Bombers with proton bombs and barrage rockets alongside Darth Vader and Marek Stele with FCS and do pretty well. Scimitar Squadron Pilot (27) Barrage Rockets (8) Proton Bombs (5) Ship total: 40 Half Points: 20 Threshold: 3 Scimitar Squadron Pilot (27) Barrage Rockets (8) Proton Bombs (5) Ship total: 40 Half Points: 20 Threshold: 3 Darth Vader (67) Fire-Control System (2) Ship total: 69 Half Points: 35 Threshold: 3 Maarek Stele (45) Fire-Control System (2) Ship total: 47 Half Points: 24 Threshold: 3 Total: 196 But now I'm sad because I can't fly this in Hyperspace. Very sad. Vader and Maarek have to find new friends.
  13. Snoke is a tree-huggin' hippie wearing a weird hat in this series. The rest of it is pretty good, though. . .
  14. Thanks for all the great advice! You gave me hope that I can still play X-Wing no matter what size of ships are on the field! I did a fair job of taking down a Tantive IV with a wing of TIE Bombers led by Capt. Jonas , supported by a fully-pimped out Redline Punisher and a TIE Reaper flying around coordinating/ jamming. Captain Jonus (45) Saturation Salvo (5) Barrage Rockets (8) Bomblet Generator (5) Shield Upgrade (6) Veteran Wing Leader (2) Gamma Squadron Ace (30) Saturation Salvo (5) Barrage Rockets (8) Bomblet Generator (5) Shield Upgrade (6) Gamma Squadron Ace (30) Saturation Salvo (5) Barrage Rockets (8) Bomblet Generator (5) Shield Upgrade (6) Gamma Squadron Ace (30) Saturation Salvo (5) Barrage Rockets (8) Bomblet Generator (5) Shield Upgrade (6) “Redline” (52) Trajectory Simulator (6) Proton Torpedoes (13) Barrage Rockets (8) Fifth Brother (11) Bomblet Generator (5) Shield Upgrade (4) Captain Feroph (47) Elusive (3) Informant (5) Tactical Officer (6) Shield Upgrade (4) Total: 397 View in Yet Another Squad Builder 2.0
  15. The guy who runs our weekly games has decided it's time for some Epic. So we're going to start running 400 point epic games. I don't have any Epic ships. This seems to be a problem, since the focus of our weekly game might be shifting toward Epic. Is it possible to run a 400 point list of regular ships that can pose a challenge to the big boys? Or should I just get wrecked until I decide to buckle down and blow a big wad of cash on an Epic ship so I can keep enjoying a fun night of X-Wing AND maintain a bit of self-esteem? I have mostly Imperial ships (no shuttles or starwings). List suggestions would be very welcome.
