  1. True, as well as getting a (Darth) Maul commander/operative.
  2. Oh, yeah, I forgot about those. Okay, Legends isn't all its cracked up to be. Thanks for the info dump!
  3. Not that there wasn't any, but could you list three things in Legends we are better off without? I want to know what to avoid.
  4. And that right there is what I hate about the reboot. We lose so much awesome stuff!
  5. Oh, pal, there is SO much more weirder things in Legends. Trust me, this is tame by comparison.
  6. If this is the case, I would love to play a Mandolorian/Death Watch army. And I KNOW there are people who would support it just so they could kill Ewoks and Gungans.
  7. Naboo forces such as the Gungans acted as auxiliary forces for the Grand Army of the Republic, never as a separate military force. I think these units would be support or special forces options, but not a separate faction.
  8. Yeah, they have this exact arrangement in Star Wars Battlefront II.
  9. I'm don't think that Ventress is a stronger Dark Side Warrior, but she is definitely more self-aware. However, it is Maul's lack of higher level awareness that what makes him so powerful. His lack of inhibitions means he is capable of any act, which makes him a very dangerous individual to deal with in any situation. Also, I do think his death at Kenobi's hands will be permanent. Maul's arch nemesis is Kenobi, so it makes sense that he dies fighting him. As for your thoughts on a Scum faction, while I agree that it would be better if FFG waited a year before making one, I disagree that it doesn't fit the wargame model. Black Sun and the Pyke Syndicate, anyone?
  10. Overrated seems a bit extreme to me. While he was never a full Sith Lord, he was definitely a more powerful Dark Side Warrior than Ventress. The point about him not belonging to any established faction does raise an interesting point. Could be be seeing a multi-period Scum faction in the near future?
  11. Yes, Battlefront II is canon, but messenger droids were just that: messengers. They would obey any programmed directives, but couldn't formulate new plans or ambitions. See the Star Wars Aftermath: Empire's End epilogue for reference.
  12. It's hard to say. Usually it takes about three months for it to get from the printer to the store, but that's just an educated guess.
  13. Perimeter Alert! Wave I of Star Wars Legion: The Clone Wars is at the printers! The Clone Wars have begun.
  14. Entourage would be better, because it would allow them to to stretch the unit limitations without breaking them.
  15. I like this idea. How about Master-Padawan Operative units?
  16. Don't you mean "a lot of money to spend in three months?"😋
  17. Brace for impact! Both Dewback Riders AND Shoretroopers have just been announced! For the Dewback Riders (aka The Thunder Lizards): https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2019/4/8/thunder-lizards/ And for the Shoretroopers (aka Beach Troopers): https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2019/4/8/quelling-rebellion/ As an Imperial player, I would like to take a moment to cackle madly at the sheer awesome that's taking place right now.
  18. I like what I've seen so far. The fact that we're getting Droidekas so early in the game is awesome, and I love how the clones are using Phase I armor. Not to mention the Grievous figure's amazing options for customization. I still can't decide which pose I'd use.
  19. Ehh, that was way more than 800 points of Battle Droids. I think that it's closer to 1,000. While this is a valid point, I think it's safe to assume that all Jedi characters will have Deflect. If so, they could potentially just do a Dodge and a Standby action and cut down droids as they activate. Not to mention that once the Jedi entered into melee combat, other droid units couldn't fire at them.
  20. While I like this idea, I think it's unreasonable in terms of gameplay. Imagine this scenario: 800 points of Jedi (wow) against 800 points of Battle Droids. Droids get a one way trip to the scrapyards. Not a fun game for the Separatist player.
  21. Okay, there are a lot of awesome ideas here. Let me try to break this down. I like this line of thinking. However, I would think that there would be two generic Commander/Officer options: the generic Jedi and the the clone officer. This is what I was thinking, but I think they would also have a Commander option in addition to Operative. My reasoning in this is that Jedi were the generals of the Republic Army. Even the padawans. So, if you have two Jedi on a team, one could be a Commander and the other could be an Operative. Or you could have two Jedi commanders, etc.
