I got the other ships, which is good, but almost all the lists I want to play the most need the eta-2....

I agree the price is very steep, its one of my own concerns about it. Other than that, as a fan of Descent: Journeys since 1st Ed. I am super excited about this new game and the (what I see as, you my not) improvements on the formula by going to a fully coop app driven experience.
 
Well, the difference is that Descent: Legends is a completely different game. MoM 2nd Ed. was not. When Descent: Journeys 3rd Ed does come out, if it does not convert any material from the first two editions then that would be a legitimate complaint.
I know people say that they "get it" when other say how "this is not Journeys, this is a new game," but then they keep offering complaints that show that they don't really grasp the concept. We didn't complain when Heroes of Terrinoth, or Legends of Dragonholt, or Runewars MG came out and didn't offer a conversion kit for Descent: Journeys material into that game.  
Because they were new games.

I just love the idea of a ship that keeps sending multiple transponder codes.

Descent: Journeys is the competitive one.
Descent: Legends is the cooperative one.
The developers hammered that point in during their stream and in the articles posted up so far, Descent: Legends is not the next edition of Descent: Journeys, and that their intention is that Journeys will keep its focus on competitive play. Therefore, Legends does not need an Overlord. If you want to play competitive, you play Journeys, and hopefully if/when a new edition of Journeys does come out, they can strip the coop play out and focus an a more pure competitive ruleset so that hero/class abilities do not have to be balanced against an AI resulting in a better game for both Legends and Journeys. 
 
As far as  "To make things worse you say you are happy it's puzzle mode only, but you  are not buying it? Hm. Reasonable.", he clearly said it was because of the price. I mean, I would love to own a Ferrari, but I'm not going to buy one because of its price. It is in fact reasonable to like something, but not buy it because its cost.

I never wished for any game to fail, even the Munchkin series and Cards Against Humanity which i both hate.
What about the way others like their games?

100% disagree. I love fully coop games and app based games I have no gripes with. Still not sure I'll even get the game since its so expensive, but I am glad there's no overlord.
If you want an overlord, go play second edition.

i personally dont mind the app dependance. and since i really only play solo there wouldnt really be any sort of bottlenecking. But if your character skill cards and equipment are are locked then im out. thats just a straight up downgrade from second edition.

well i mean, if you know about this game then you probably already own some or all of second edition already, so, other than completionists, it shouldnt matter if they stop making it. if you dont own any, then you probably werent interested to begin with, or had never even heard of it before, so, again, it shouldnt matter if they stop making second edition. Just my two cents

I 1000% agree. IMO there is no excuse for not giving this 3 attack dice. it truly pisses me off that it doesnt.

yeah, my guess is they said "5-6 reprints per deck" hoping people would just believe them and not check for themselves. i refuse to believe that they just forgot all their decks had 8-9 reprints. they have to be downplaying the real number on purpose(likely because if they outright said the real number it would piss a lot of people off), which is super annoying

As much as i want this ship, i hope it's far down the line. For me i want to see the LAAT, V-wing, the twilight(really want a large base ship), and a coordinate shuttle(Nu or Eta class).
 
We already have a jedi ship, so until all these are out, we dont really need another.

Yes, the allies are unique for the whole table (i.e. only one Hawkeye at a time  for everyone at the table). We don’t know whether they will release characters as allies and as heroes. However, if they handle it like Lord of the Rings LCG, we can expect hero versions of the allies eventually. In that game, they expect each gaming group to work it out among themselves, so that there are no duplicates. I wonder whether they might have a better solution for this game. 

Yeah, it's all a lie, it's not really coming, lost legends is a hoax.
on a serious note: I was like 100% sure it was going to be out this week so when the available now article dropped without lost legends i was so incredibly disappointed.... i mean its been like 2 months since the live stream where they said they were trying to get it out within a month....
