  4. I think at launch it was completely ambiguous, then it moved to Jammer chooses lock or green token but who chose the green token was ambiguous still. Then it was finally revised to Jammer chooses all the time.
  5. The idea is that you have everyone lock an object on turn one, when you normally would just be focusing. Then by the time they engage, they take the focus action, so they have the focus and a lock on the rock. This doesn't work anymore as the person that applies the jam chooses whether a green token is removed or a lock is broken. It used to work in earlier days of 2nd edition when the receiver of the jam chose. It's still good practice to do when your opponent has jamming potential.

  7. I wonder if doubling down and putting Juke on them would be good. Probably not, but it's a thought. Yup. It used to be a trick that Attack Shuttle Sabine used until both she and Debris Gambit went up in price.

  9. I get it, but The text from Chewie and something like DGS-047 are much closer to Zam's text than any other text I can find (currently). There are plenty of examples of the "Do X. If you do, then do Y" which Zam's text avoids. If they had wanted to Zam to not proceed to the lock, the common terminology that they use is "if you do, then...".

  13. I've only flown it twice. It just happened to be that Jango's targets typically did a blue. It may have had an effect on the game in my opponent's choices in who they shot by not targeting Jango, but I cannot say. I also flew against Rey with Rose in both of those instances, who largely doesn't care that you turn a result to a blank. The one time I could have against Rey, she had no force, so she was going to spend lock that result anyway.

    Auto-Etakin + 3 Arcs was a finalist at the Lima Open this last weekend. If spending a force charge to boost or barrel roll is acceptable, then spending a force charge to lock is fine. It's the lack of double actions that people dislike, they just don't know it. Delta's were spending force left and right to perform actions, but they got to perform another action afterwards.
  15. Haha, I never flew it because 100% of the time my opponents rerolled into worse dice. This is the build I'm currently working with, both with Thermal Dets. Zam with force crew is sort of a Rey-lite, very efficient. For Jango, I have used his ability exactly 0 times, so for right now, his ability is to be i6 for me. I need to evaluate it further. For Scum, Boba might head back to the Han Gunner combo with the new Slave 1 title. Add in Autoblasters, Marksmanship, and maybe sub-in Greedo gunner and Boba can save all his mods for defense and just crit folks to death. Emon should take advantage of the drop for Andrasta and most bombs. Thermal Dets, Protons, and Proxs all seem like the ideal choices. Zam crew works well with Firesprays as they have 2 arcs to use the conditions on. The free lock might give Emon the firepower he was lacking to hang with Boba in a two ship list.
  16. To turn your linked evade to a white evade? Probably not worth it at 4 points, but I like the creativity. Might be worth looking into if Debris Gambit ever drops in price. Not bad really. They don't need to catch an Ace in their arcs, but rather can affect what an ace does like Buzz Droids do. They create a "no-go" zone. Also, your examples are all with the consideration that the Fearsome Prey has a green token and can/wants to spend it. If the Prey rolls 3 blanks or 3 evades, even with a focus token, that ship gets strained. If the Fearsome Predator rolls blanks on offense, the Prey still has to spend a token if they do not want to be strained. The Prey must also consider spending tokens on offense if the Predator has a shot on them. Droids are also very good at blocking a lot of space so denying that green token action is a strong possibility. What really mitigates this ability is the i3. If they were a higher initiative, these would be a problem. I'm glad it sits on an i3, because higher initiatives might make it too good. Right now, it's fairly average on the power curve which I think is a fine place. Where I think it will shine is on the lower initiative named pilots or lower maneuverability named pilots. Ten and Braylen are good examples of heavy hitters that don't want to be Prey, despite having a higher initiative. Finn actually seems destructible to these guys.

  18. I'd be down for maybe a Hyperspace season of different ship counts. Like a 3-7 ship format for just a bit.

    Esk should be 0 points, already. Choosing ions instead of crits before you even attack is very near useless. To me the simplest fix for the combo is to remove the cannon slot.
  20. While Synchronized Console cannot be equipped as a modification to an Eta-2 since the mod requires a white lock action to equip, if other Republic ships have Sync'd Console, they can spend their lock to transfer the lock to an Eta-2 if they are at range one of that friendly ship.
  21. I'm going to throw my hat in the ring against this idea. If FFG wanted us to fly the ship that way, only having the i1 and i3 generic in Hyperspace seems a really, really odd way to promote that. Additionally, this seems an odd design choice. That's like saying FFG was telling us to fly Soontir Fel because the other squints used to be overpriced. I'm certain they wanted us flying more than one TIE Interceptor pilot, as I'm certain they want us flying more than just 1 or 2 Tri-fighter pilots. If they didn't want us to fly those pilots, pricing them inefficiently seems a poor idea when you could just not release those pilots. Yup. 4 points + stress seems a bit much for the Tri-Fighter, and downright bonkers for the Vulture or Hyena.

  23. Zam seems good all around. I'd put force on her before Lone Wolf, but I have confirmation bias against Lone Wolf. If you could put it on young Boba, I would since he works alone, but alas, he has no talent slot. Boba would likely need some form of force to guarantee being able to take advantage of your defensive pilot ability. Something I noticed while looking at this, the i2 CIS Firespray costs 64, while the i2 Scum Firespray costs 62. Odd.
