  1. Nah, can't have that now. That would mean Scum was not suffering disastrous side effects from a nerf to another faction! Probably just means the Quadjumper is being re-released in wave 7 with a points bump.
  2. So if I’m reading all these right: 1) Finn keeps the strain on defense until after applying its affect. 2) Cova works with R4 to allow cova’s ability(and subsequently Nien does not work with Herra) 3) No more ionized fine tuned Jedi.
  3. Had to share possibly the most insane game I've been involved in. I ran RAC with Vader, Lone Wolf and Dauntless title, Soontir with Predator, Duchess with Crackshot. My opponent, a talented scum player who has been playing for years, ran Fenn Rau with Fearless, Old Teroch with Fearless, and Guri with Crackshot. At 195, he outbid me by two points and gave me initiative. A bit of backstory. A month prior I ran RAC against him with Rexler as the wingman while he flew a CIS list he was testing. I beat him 200-0. Last week I played Resistance against another player rolling triple fangs, and lost 200-30. We were both facing lists from our nightmares. I spread out my list, pushing Soontir up the far left board edge with a five straight, slow rolling duchess up the middle, and pushing RAC four straight up the right board edge. One of these three moves was a terrible mistake. He went all in on Soontir. I had been way to aggressive and the only move the Imperial ace could make was turn in and pray to take as few shots as possible. First round of fire Soontir takes hit crit -- panicked pilot! With three stress, Soontir is never taking actions ever again. In exchange he managed one shield off Guri. Soontir proceeds to run, dragging his three opponents after him. This does at least pull Old T straight in front of Duchess. Old T takes her focus token. Duchess shoots, lands hit, hit, crit. Crackshots one evade, while Concordia Faceoff cancels one. Crit is direct hit, leaving Old T at one health. Fenn and Guri dispatch the fleeing Soontir. Old T returns fire on duchess -- four hits, Duchess blanks and is gone. All alone at the top of the board, it's now RAC against the world. I can either bank in and spend the next 10 minutes having the Deci ripped to shreds, or I can go hyper aggressive and see if I can at least make a mess of things. I go aggressive and throw the Deci four forward. Thinking I was going to slow roll and that he could get Old T into my front arc and take my reinforce away, he banks in Old T...right into the side of RAC. His other two ships roll in. Know what makes Old T sad? Being range 0 and in arc of Vader with no tokens. Vader chokes the life out of the Fang. Two on one. Fenn is range 1 of the deci, and spends his focus to get three hits. Two of which take off shields. RAC returns fire on Fenn, using RAc's ability and lone wolf to send in hit-hit-crit. Fenn rolls all blanks and focuses. He eats all three shots and it's his turn to get panicked pilot. I begin turning the decimator around a debris cloud. His Fenn punches it in a desperate bid to get of vader range. He succeeds, making range 3 by maybe a millimeter. Fenn lives -- for now. Instead I take off one of Guri's tokens. I open up on Fenn and he goes down. One on one. Guri blanks out on a range one shot. We spend the next two turns disengaging while I bring the deci around the debris and he dances out of arc. We wind up an inch away from each other head-to-head. Vader again takes a token and I lash Guri, getting her to one health. The return fire brings the Deci down to three health and a weapons disabled crit. I have three options -- hard turn right, or hard turn left to try and keep Guri in arc, or just slam into the android and hope my opponent picked the wrong maneuver. I ram the Starviper and rotate with the title and cross my fingers. He dialed in a two bank and clears by a millimeter. Guri rolls out of arc and we go back to dials. I soft bank, clear stress and rotate. He turns Guri in and gets his focus and calculate. I save Vader for the force mod. I roll hit crit blank. Lone wolf reroll into an eyeball, force for three hits. He rolls evade, focus, blank. Guri takes the crit and dies. Simultaneous fire! Guri shoots back, needing three paint to get the Deci. He rolls hit-hit-focus-focus. That works. Spends the focus and the deci dies. All of this happened in 50 minutes. Final salvo! 9 dice each. I roll first. Five hits. Above average is good. He rolls next. Seven hits on nine dice! He rolled his dice three more times to try and even get close to that and rolled a max of three hits. He's never allowed to complain about his dice ever again. RAC proved to a surprisingly effective endgame ship. That was not my original plan whatsoever, but with Lone Wolf permanently on because his hapless squad mates bit the dust and his pilot ability, he was double modding almost every shot, and limiting the damage with reinforce. A reinforced decimator with double mods, reinforce, and Vader can be very hard to kill. In any event, even though I came up just short in my upset bid, this one goes down as one of my favorite matches.
  4. Here's a few tweaks: Cassian Andor (51) Crack Shot (1) Jyn Erso (2) Leia Organa (6) Pivot Wing (0) Ship total: 60 Half Points: 30 Threshold: 4 Norra Wexley (55) Crack Shot (1) R2-D2 (Crew) (10) R5-D8 (6) Ship total: 72 Half Points: 36 Threshold: 5 Airen Cracken (36) Crack Shot (1) Ship total: 37 Half Points: 19 Threshold: 2 Lieutenant Blount (30) Crack Shot (1) Ship total: 31 Half Points: 16 Threshold: 2 Total: 200 View in Yet Another Squad Builder 2.0: https://raithos.github.io/?f=Rebel Alliance&d=v8ZsZ200Z32X116WW40W46WW140Y77X116WW56WW7WY54X116WWY55X116WW&sn=Unnamed Squadron&obs= This just ditches the missiles and veteran tail gunner from Norra and turns that into Leia and Jyn Erso. Jyn can let Norra or the headhunters turn focuses into evades, which should make Norra even harder to kill, and at least give the headhunters a chance to live when somebody looks at them the wrong way. Top it off with crackshots all around because I had two points to spare after giving it to the two z95s.
  5. Great article! One option I noticed missing is one that hasn’t seen a ton of play yet, Vi Moradi in the resistance transport pod, lets you see out to range three on a chosen ship with her pilot ability.
  6. Correct on all counts. Ordinance is denoted by an icon on the weapon card. It's the little rocket shape next to the range indicator.
  7. New Squadron (73) Rey [Scavenged YT-1300] (5) Rey's Millennium Falcon (6) Korr Sella Points: 84 (38) Cova Nell [Resistance Transport] (19) Leia Organa (1) Heroic Points: 58 (56) Ello Asty [T-70 X-wing] (0) Integrated S-foils (1) Heroic Points: 57 Total points: 199 Maybe Move Leia to Cova so her ability is always on and doesn’t have to fight Rey for a force pool? Korr Sella and the title to let her do whatever she wants to do. Ello stays the same.
  8. If you want one bomber, make it Vennie: Vennie (60) Pattern Analyzer (5) Perceptive Copilot (8) Rey (14) Veteran Turret Gunner (8) Hull Upgrade (3) Ship total: 98 Half Points: 49 Threshold: 7 Blue Squadron Recruit (33) Heroic (1) Ship total: 34 Half Points: 17 Threshold: 2 Blue Squadron Recruit (33) Heroic (1) Ship total: 34 Half Points: 17 Threshold: 2 Blue Squadron Recruit (33) Heroic (1) Ship total: 34 Half Points: 17 Threshold: 2 Total: 200 View in Yet Another Squad Builder 2.0: https://raithos.github.io/?f=Resistance&d=v8ZsZ200Z294XW206W54W187W90WWW164Y301X172WWY301X172WWY301X172WW&sn=Unnamed Squadron&obs= I've also seen some interesting lists with two vtg cobalts and a transport floating around the interwebs.
  9. I'd say it seems strong but you have to absolutely nail that initial alpha strike. The gunboats are fairly sturdy but they need to stay in formation with Jonus for his ability and assuming you ion something in in the initial engagement, use saturation salvo (because it will only work with the ion missiles) and then hit that target with the advanced proton torps in round 2, you are out of ordinance. The Rhos will need to slam to get away to reload, but without advanced slam they can't do both simultaneously. When they do that, Jonus probably will not be able to keep up and the formation will have to split apart. But Jonus might not even by alive at that point, because if it were me, and I decided to just joust it, he's my first target and I try to take him off the board in the initial engagement, as that denies you free rerolls and clears up my path to turn around and gives my ioned a ship a snowballs chance of not dying. I'd say as an alpha strike, if you can line it up it's terrifying, but it's what comes after that is the question marks. Put it on the table and give it a go!
  10. I say why 4, when you can have 5. 11. I tried this the other day. It seems like it has some potential, but I got Rey killed when I got so excited over the fact that I could Leia a three straight into a blue, blast across a debris cloud with Korr Sella, dump all the stress (including the debris stress) and get a range one target lock, that I didn't stop to think if should do that. Noted for next time: Rey doesn't like taking three range one shots from T70s. Han Solo (Resistance) (71) Leia Organa (Resistance) (19) Shield Upgrade (4) Ship total: 94 Half Points: 47 Threshold: 6 Rey (73) Korr Sella (6) Rose Tico (9) Finn (10) Rey's Millennium Falcon (5) Ship total: 103 Half Points: 52 Threshold: 6 Total: 197 View in Yet Another Squad Builder 2.0: https://raithos.github.io/?f=Resistance&d=v8ZsZ200Z245XWW244WWWW165WY244XWW245W173W174WWW193&sn=Couples therapy&obs=
  12. I don't see any way this works. What has a ship done when a token is transferred to it? It has acquired that token. Vizago works because card restrictions are ignored after setup. "A ship cannot acquire a lock on itself" is pretty explicit.
  13. Pretty sure it only shows 2.0 releases and the interceptor and the bomber haven't been released in 2.0 yet.
  14. Flew this with some success a few weeks ago: Vennie (60) Perceptive Copilot (8) Rey (14) Veteran Turret Gunner (8) Ship total: 90 Half Points: 45 Threshold: 6 Finn (29) Heroic (1) C-3PO (Resistance) (6) Ship total: 36 Half Points: 18 Threshold: 2 Greer Sonnel (36) Heroic (1) Ship total: 37 Half Points: 19 Threshold: 2 Tallissan Lintra (36) Heroic (1) Ship total: 37 Half Points: 19 Threshold: 2 Total: 200 View in Yet Another Squad Builder 2.0: https://raithos.github.io/?f=Resistance&d=v8ZsZ200Z294XWW54W187W90WWWY350X172WW191WY270X172WWWY240X172WWW&sn=New Squadron&obs=
  15. I don’t think you take the stress. Agile gunner states “during the end phase you may rotate your turret indicator.” It doesn’t say “perform a rotate action.” You’re not performing the rotate action, so no stress. Would be the same for something like the resistance Falcon.
