Frustrated with the incompetence of the other Imperial soldiers, Brecor exits, deciding to explore the rest of the Wheel and reunite with his team.

Brecor looks the man up and down, scrutinizing this closely. "First, you will need to get in touch with the Wheel administration to discuss a sharing of resources. Of course, we don't have much to offer them... for the moment. But friendship with the Empire should be incentive enough for them to throw some intel your way from time to time. Next, establishing local contacts is essential. Who are the people of influence here? Are there any factions that might be willing to share information?"

Brecor raises an eyebrow skeptically. "And, pray tell, what have you gathered in the time you've been stationed here?"

Brecor lets out a heavy sigh at the sad state of affairs before him. He addresses the men around him. "Have you at least set up an intelligence-gathering system? Established local contacts? Laid the foundations for an information network, limited as your resources might be?"

Sonnray leans back, satisfied with his breakfast. "I've hit upon an idea this morning. Came to me after thinking about last night's events. Swoop races. The people love them. More than that, they idolize the people who provide it to them. Think about the celebrity these racers have accrued. Of course, most politicians think such things beneath them, which is ultimately their weakness. I, on the other hand, have no such prejudices. Imagine how much support I could accrue virtually overnight if I had my own stable of racers. This new league everyone's talking about, it's a virtually untapped resource. Which brings me to my business of the day. I'd like to walk among these racers, meet some of them, in the hopes of laying the groundwork for things to come."

Does the Empire maintain any sort of military presence on the wheel at all? Like something analogous to an embassy? If so, that's where Brecor would go.

Brecor runs his hand along the ship, examining it closely. "It would appear so. It does not appear to be much, but is still more than I had hoped for, given the supply shortages."

Sonnray pats the Kyuzo reassuringly on the shoulder. 
 
"I know your feelings on the matter. But just look outside. The chaos, the passion, the excess of feeling... this is the beating heart of the Empire! These people may lack the refinement that you and I are accustomed to, but they wield the power to topple governments, finance wars, and crown kinds. It is on the backs of the common people that Empires are built. Win their hearts, and you win the planet itself. That's what my parents never understood. Luckily, I understand these people a little better than they did. They lack refinement, but they make up for it with pure ardor. They're bored, you see. Bored and tired of trite politics and empty promises. What they need - what they desperately want - is spectacle. Excitement. Something new. And this is the perfect time and place to start giving it to them."

Brecor is a model of composure as he runs up to the scene of the scuffle. He turns to the security guards. "The exits should still be sealed. Judging by recent events, it would perhaps be too much to hope for this to provide much of an obstacle for our intruder, but I nonetheless want every inch of this base searched and scanned, every molecule accounted for." Turning to Castar, he glances at his wound. "Nothing too serious, by the looks of it, but you're right to request medical attention." He takes a closer look at the security team to see if he can find a medic among them, but continues to address Castar as he does so: "Aside from the...unusual... appearance of this infiltrator, was there anything that might distinguish him or otherwise help identify him?"

Sonnray flashes his bodyguard his signature million-credit smile, amiably patting him on the shoulder.
 
"I appreciate your concern, Dilhun, as always. But I must disagree with your reasoning. These are my constituents, after all. I must see them at their worst if I hope to win them over at their best! What better way to gauge their needs and desires than to bear witness to their most excessive celebrations?"

Maybe they can't lock it down but they're sending backup to the location and/or making sure that other base personnel are on the alert?

What can I spend that triumph on?

He stands at attention, ready to move on.

Brecor Surit strides into the room, his officer's uniform crisp and close-fitting, his movements rigid and precise. Standing at attention, he offers a firm salute to Colonel Yularen.
"Lieutenant Brecor Sturit reporting in, Sir. I apologize for the slight delay. I was detained carrying out a series of last-minute orders of some urgency on behalf of my superiors. I give you my assurances that my tardiness in no way reflects my capabilities as an officer or my commitment to whatever assignment you see fit to give me."
Though he lowers his arm following this introduction, the Lieutenant remains at attention, awaiting further orders while examining the other soldiers present.

Alright, I'll figure out what to get as the personal weapon and item. For now, I'm leaning towards Ship Captain, so that's likely what I'll go with for my Universal spec.

I'm sticking with the character I've got, though I may tweak a thing or two (thinking of switching my universal spec from Imperial Army Cadet to ship captain). Going for a naval officer, basically.

These Cyclone guys know what they're doing, I'll give them that. Better than the last squad I was stuck with, that's for sure. Despite his approval of his new comrades' fighting prowess, he notices both the Jedi commander and the squad leader go down. Hauling Slugger's rotary cannon with him, he plants himself in front of Gunslinger, shielding him from any more oncoming fire. "I trust you can still fight, sergeant? You wouldn't want your men to catch their squad leader resting on the job, would you?" He lets out a chuckle, which, upon turning his wrath onto the incoming droids, becomes a bloodcurdling war-cry as he lets loose on the squad of B2 battle-droids, unleashing a hail of blasterfire that tears through their front ranks.

I'm gonna move closer to Gunslinger if I'm not already at engaged with him and suffer a strain to use the Bodyguard maneuver to protect him. While I'm at engaged range with him for the duration of this round, all combat checks against him have their difficulty upgraded by 1. My own +1 to defense from Moving Target still applies to me. I'll then fire at the B2 squad with autofire on.
