How many play throughs do people have?

My partner and I play one scenario a night, about 5 times a week. We've played and beaten the core, Dunwich and Carcosa more times than I've kept track of. We only currently own half of the Forgotten Age, but played through that half maybe 4 times. Also own Labyrinth, which we've beaten half a dozen times and Guardians of the Abyss, which we've played through twice but haven't beaten yet.

    Guardians of the Abyss

Haha! Finally beat it. Third times a charm. Same team as last time (me as Finn and my partner as Roland). We decided the previous game was just bad luck because we knew we had a strong team with good decks. And we slaughtered. Neith died with 3 turns to spare and barely any damage on either of us. On to part 2.

Tried again and lost again. Man, this is difficult. Came close though. Was playing as Finn and Roland. Last turn of the game, Finn is almost dead from Horror and is engaged with Neith. She has 7 damage already, and he has Chicago Typewriter. One shot will kill her. He pumps up his attack... Gets the autofail, she retaliates and kills him. Roland is left alone and can't manage to knock her off in time. Bad luck, I know. But it's still a real tough scenario even with luck on your side.

    Help me out?

Failing that, there are several good chaos bag apps if you want to try a digital bag.

    Guardians of the Abyss

Thank you. Pretty much what I figured. I was just hoping to snag extra victory and then maybe I wouldn't loose quite as horribly in Part 2. It was... Not pretty.

    Guardians of the Abyss

I just tried this for the first time. Lost horribly, but am looking forward to trying again. I did have a question. All the brotherhood cultists have a victory point on the front and another one on the back, usually under the "if you have done this" part. Is this the same point or do you get two? One for removing them and another for doing the task on the back. I'm probably wishful thinking but I've never seen victory points on both sides of a card before.

    Solving My Storage Problem

Dividers were found here https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/138641/vertical-themed-dividers-sleeved-cards I laminated them to make them more durable.
  8. With details on the Circle Undone characters starting to appear accross the internet, it looks like Diana, Preston and Joe will fill in 3 more of these slots with each having a major/minor class. It does also mean the only combo that doesn't exist as all is Seeker/Rogue or Rogue/Seeker. I wonder who will eventually fill that niche.

    Solving My Storage Problem

I was part way through designing my own when I found those on BGG and abandoned my own design. They were surprisingly similar and using those ones saved me a lot of time.

    Solving My Storage Problem

    And this is the inside:
  11. I had the week off of work, so I used to solve the Arkham storage problem I've been having. Bought a box, assembled it, painted it, decoupaged it and made/laminated deviders to keep it all tidy. I'm not an overly craft person, so this is my first attempt at anything like this. I'm pretty happy with the results and wanted to share them somewhere.
  12. Even when knowing all the rules, games can still go wrong. My partner and I have played Zealot, Dunwich and Carcosa multiple times each. We almost always win and when we do lose it's mostly bad luck and choas bag shenanigans rather than poor choices on our part. But 2 days ago, we played Zealot on Standard to try out new Forgotten Age characters. I played Finn, he played Mateo. We were annihilated. First time we'd ever lost The Gathering. The Auto fail came out more times than I can count. Finn was Frozen in Fear all game and he couldn't shake it. Mateo couldn't find the cards he needed. It was rough. Sometimes the game decides to kick you and you can't do anything about it.

    Forgotten age difficulty...(sigh)

Happy to report that round 2 went a lot better. We tried it with Calvin and Leo. Absolutely killed the first scenario. Second one went iffy, and we died, but we had no vengeance at all yet, so we decided to run back into the temple. I think the first go was bad luck because on the second run, we did amazing there too. Unfortunately, I don't have part 3 yet to continue the story. It's on order. But I proved to myself that both parts 1 and 2 are beatable, so I am happy.

    Forgotten age difficulty...(sigh)

I just picked up Forgotten Age yesterday and gave it a try. 2 player with me as Mateo and my partner playing as Ursula. We were destroyed. Not so bad in the first scenario, but obliterated in the second. I'm excited to try again however. Now that I know what's coming I think it'll be easier.

    Frustrating (looooooooooooong!)

You bring up The Unspeakable Oath a lot, and that is kind of known as being a particularly punishing scenario. I know that whenever I play Carcosa, I still dread playing that one even though I've beaten it multiple times because even knowing all the tricks it still often comes down to the wire. Do you have the same issues with all the scenarios or is it just one or two that give you grief?
