Revert got a reaction from Simplegarak in "One Stood Against Many" Question
Reminder: One Stood Against Many: Play: Ready and fight with a friendly creature 3 times, each time against a different enemy creature. Resolve these fights one at a time.
Problem portion: "Ready and fight with a friendly creature 3 times"

English is not a context free grammar. This means that the same sentence can mean different things if said in different settings. In our particular example, when an adverb of frequency is used in a sentence with an object, you are dependent on context when determining if the adverb of frequency describes just the verb, or if it describes the combination of the verb and the object.
    Examples:
John has killed a bear 3 times. (This obviously means 3 different bears)
A bear has fought John 3 times. (This obviously means the same John)
John has seen a bear 3 times. (Unclear if it is the same bear or not)

Unfortunately, there is no way to easily format a sentence to clarify this without adding more words specifically to do so.
John has seen the same bear 3 times.
John has seen a bear 3 times. It was a different bear each time.
John has seen a bear 3 times. It is unknown if the bears were different bears.
"John has seen 3 bears" also works for the different example, but switching 3 from an adverb to an adjective can have other consequences.

    Cards that give you chains
Cards whose effects are dependent on having no creatures in play.
Key Charge when you're not close to forging

As a side note Alpha & Omega cards will be amazing to graft.

At Gen Con they had a keyforge vending machine (I have an image for a similar machine below). All you could buy was sealed decks. I don't know how well it actually did, but I definitely had some friends who bought decks purely for the novelty of getting them out of a vending machine. I was think it would have been even more exciting for me if they had opened decks in the machine, but all you could see was the archon (and the houses).

That would require the card to be using a keyword before the keyword existed. Also, Logos already has 2 alpha cards, so making library access alpha might actually make it worse in tournaments than making it purge itself. In casual play, where games are longer, alpha is definitely the better way to handle this, but the article specifically called out that these changes were made for the tournament scene.

This would mean that you could play cards in the middle of other cards effects, which is not something that is currently allowed by the rules.

This leaves people the opportunity to double library access through the use of mimicry. Their biggest problem with the combo (according to the article) was how long it took to do, not how reliable it was, so being able to do it at all is a problem.

This doesn't solve the problem with Reverse Time.

Someone needed to start this post. The latest rules updated added an errata for both Library Access and Bait and Switch that cause both to be less powerful.

Library Access can no longer combo into itself, and Bait and Switch can only trigger twice. Overall, I think this is a good thing, but I do feel sorry for those people who spent a lot of money on infinite combo decks.
The reason why I think this is good is because they said in an interview that they had no plans to rotate a set out of "Standard" to borrow terms from other games. This would have created a real potential of Library Access infinite combos to be the tournament meta for the entire life of the product. This problem would only be made worse by the existence of legacy cards. This would not be healthy for the longevity of the product.

From errata that makes me think the answer is no:
I play Smaaash (CoTA 046), but each of my opponent’s creatures
is already stunned. Do I have to resolve the effect against
    Smaaash itself?
No. You may still choose to resolve Smaaash’s “Play:” effect against one
of your opponent’s creatures, however you cannot put a stun counter on
an already stunned creature so nothing will happen.

Revert got a reaction from TwitchyBait in collar of subordination: Imbalanced?
It is extremely good in dis mirror matches, and against specific creatures with constant effects, like Hunting Witch, otherwise it might has well read destroy 1 creature. And I know this is an over simplification. Having a card that lets you destroy any creature is still an above average card, so I do think this card is extremely good, but as long as cards like Bait and Switch, Time Traveler, and Numquid the Fair exist, I have a hard time complaining about this card. This card feels like it fits well within in the upper tiers of power level. If I judge this against cards that are frustrating to play against instead of power level, I still end up with this card well outside the greatest offenders; Lash of Broken Dreams, Restringuntus, and Succubus to just name a few that can be more frustrating.
I agree this card is more powerful than the 2 cards you mentioned, but Dis is also much better at affecting board state than both Logos and Shadows, so it only makes sense that its card is more powerful. Overlord Greking is in the same house, and can theoretically steal multiple opposing troops, and doesn't need to worry that the next set having a card that can destroy upgrades.
I'm not against the idea of it exhausting the troop it takes, but only if the rule was added to all cards that can steal cards. That way the change can be part of the rules and not part of a the errata. I don't think this card is nearly imbalanced enough to justify an errata.
Sneklifter is one of the few cards that makes me wish this game has deck building, as I wish I could have 1 copy of this in every deck. It is a strong counter to the Library Access and Nepenthe Seed combo. When they don't have that combo, it is still amazing for countering any of the other artifacts in the game, I don't even care if it takes an artifact that I can't use (like Mothergun). In the rare occurrence that you are playing against a deck with no artifacts, it still gives you a creature you can reap with. But again, I can't find myself willing to call it overpowered as we need strong counters to Library Access and Nepenthe Seed, but again again, if a rule was added to make whatever it stole come over exhausted, I wouldn't mind that.

Revert got a reaction from Simplegarak in FFG Needs to step up
The supply issues were very frustrating, but with how popular the game was at release I am not all that surprised, guessing how much to print for a new game is hard. My area has had the attendance drop in several stores for the same reason. This lack of attendance has caused a lack of chainbound events. Most stores near me are only hosting 1 a month instead of 1 a week.

Basically, I think you anger is justified, but I don't think there is anything FFG can do about it now.

As far as prizes go, I would be thrilled if a local store started having chainbound events with no prizes and either no or very small entry fees. I am more excited by the power level system than I am about any prize.

I didn't create the opening post the same day as the game for just that reason. I gave myself a couple days to reexamine it with a cool head. If I would have thought about this issue before it happened to me, I would have posted it earlier. I keep bringing up that it was a low stakes game, and I have mentioned we were telling jokes during it. I have no bad feelings about the game. I know the game was 1 round away from ending so I don't even have the normal bad feelings about not being able to finish the game, which is what normally bothers me about tie breakers in other games. I just believe that this is an edge case that wasn't properly considered when the tie breaker rules were made and can be fixed. If we don't inform fantasy flight of issues we believe exist in the rules, then they will have no way to know that they should consider fixing it. If they decide not to fix this issue, I am not going to be upset. There are a lot of things to consider when changing the rules for going to time that I might not be considering. For example, I have no idea why they chose to have, "Cards that affect Æmber costs have no effect during this step", as part of the rules, but I trust they added it for a reason.

I find this question interesting. Restringuntus has an ability that works exactly like a constant ability, but because it isn't actually a constant ability, it does not change target when stolen, but if it was a constant ability, it would.
If "Your opponent" was on a new line, this would be a very different conversation.
