  1. For somebody who has never painted miniatures in their life before, these are fantastic. I've been at it for 15 years and you're better than me!

    Final coat??

I’ve never suffered frosting before fortunately, however for frosting with spray cans, I’ve read online before that a cotton swab with olive oil lightly rubbed over the model removes the frosting. Did a quick google search and it seems to have confirmed it!
  3. Mels miniatures also do some, so there are a few options out there. https://www.shapeways.com/product/5R2TNDJNW/legion-12x-clone-trooper-phase-2-helmets?optionId=112699795
  4. Impressive stuff as always, the finished Razor Crest is fantastic! Love the two mandalorians as well, prefer the pose of the Mels miniatures one but it’s just a shame his stuff is slightly out of scale with the other Legion stuff I find. Both of them look great though!
  5. I’ve been planning on buying Chewbacca for a few weeks now but have yet to get around to it. I’ve since ordered it on next day delivery and will lovingly paint him up over this weekend in memory of Peter Mayhew, may he rest in peace.
  6. A few months late but I've actually built up a decent collection of unpainted miniatures so thought I better start painting them. Started with a Rebel squad leader. Going for a Tatooine inspired look and will eventually be making a Tatooine board to play on. Not the best paint job unfortunately. I've been collecting Warhammer 40K for a very long time but have always collected Space Marines which are very different to paint than a miniature wearing clothes instead of Armour. Hopefully the more rebels I paint the better I will get it at painting cloth but for now he will do for an alright tabletop standard.
  7. Absolutely stunning work in this thread, the Slave II is just fantastic. I really like all the 3D printed ships in particular, they are brilliant. You are making me want to buy a 3D printer to try and do something similar.
  8. I'm in the UK and ordered some from Element Games last week and had them delivered today, so they are definitely released in the UK.
  9. Thank you! I decided to stick with the green rather than go for something completely different so that it had a Mandalorian Protector vibe to it. I love the idea of a Holiday Special version, I've also been thinking about buying another and painting him up in the glossy white pre-production colours he had at one point. Thanks! I'm glad you like it. I apologise though for being a bit unclear, whilst he is my first Star Wars Legion miniature, I've been in and out of miniatures games such as Warhammer 40K/Lord of the Rings/Infinity for about 15 years. I have some painting/conversion experience, just nothing crazy like a lot of people I have seen, and I'm always looking for ways to improve.
  10. Hi all, I've been wanting to get into Legion since it's release but never got around to it. Finally decided to bite the bullet and buy some miniatures just to test the waters with it and was pleasantly surprised at the scale of the miniatures being a bit larger than most other tabletop miniature games. I started out with the Boba Fett miniature, and being a big Mandalorian fan, I decided to modify him a bit to create a custom Mandalorian instead of him being Boba Fett. Altered his pose a bit so that he isn't flying and changed his jetpack to look more like Jango's arena jetpack rather than Boba's usual one. Gave him a custom paint job, and attempted to some freehand Jaig eyes on the helmet but I'm unfortunately not a very good painter so they didn't turn out very good. I am not overly happy with the paint job and it definitely isn't my best work so I may revisit him in the future. Kept the base black for the time being until I decide how I want to base all my Legion miniatures! I appreciate any and all feedback to help me improve as a painter! Many thanks, James
