  1. [H] Imperial assault carrier model only, I bought it used, it's in great shape, but it came to me without the little satellite dish on top. [W] I don't really need anything for X-wing, so I'm not entirely sure, looking for maybe a few Imperial expansions, maybe something like a decimator or lamda, open to offers. Willing to trade for Legion imperial expansions.
  2. Reporting successful trade with @CoffeeMinion
  3. They certainly did, but it's a little disingenuous to say that, make people who joined the stream only for Armada listen to all this crap the other games are getting, then tell us that; especially given the general sentiment in this community.
  4. The @ffglive people were saying it's because there's a lot going on in the world, but it didn't seem to impact X-Wing or Legion. Very disappointed.
  5. Hello and welcome! I'm not a rebel player, in fact, I'm actually pretty awful at this game, however, most rebel ships have a place in a list it really depends on the kind of experience you want to have. I definitely recommend a core set to start, and perhaps some rebel squadron packs. From there it's really up to you. Rebel ships tend to favor broadside attacks and typically require clever flying as opposed to imperial ships tending to be more front arc, more brawler types made for direct action. I'm sure someone here can elaborate further and give more specific advice, but I would say buy ships you like. It's such a cinematic game, and while you're learning the rules, I wouldn't necessarily focus so much on being very competitive. Just my two cents.
  6. Hello everyone! In an effort to get more people involved and get more games in around NYC, we are going to start hosting casual tournaments at The Brooklyn Strategist in addition to those currently held at The Compleat Strategist in midtown and JHU Comics in Staten Island. The new monthly casual will be held on the first Sunday of every month at The Brooklyn Strategist (333 Court Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231) from 10:30AM to 6:30PM. Proxying is allowed, if anyone needs to borrow anything we will have plenty extra (please ask in advance). There will be prize support in the form of seasonal kits from FFG and other door prizes arranged by the hosts. The first event went off without a hitch, the store is very nice, staff is great, food is good. Please let me know if you have any questions. Look forward to seeing you all there.

  8. I'm sorry to be this guy, but like CMDR Kastor, I do not see the allure of this ship. I think it's among the ugliest star wars models I've ever seen. Of course I'd buy one if they made it anyway. My question is, what is it about this ship that appeals to everyone? Is it just nostalgia from some old video game or something? It looks like a kindergartener drew it with a grey crayon.

  10. This is awesome, I absolutely love Tableau. My investigators hate when I go into tableau, it's like a rabbit hole for me. Then they just get a million reports of their performance haha.
  11. I'm a new player, this will be my first new release I have been around for. In fact, the announcement of the SSD is the reason I bought into the game in the first place. It's my first ever more traditional style game I've played since like monopoly with my family as a child, and I love it. I know all of you are calloused to this, and others, like me, like to complain. But frankly, this is a bit shocking to me. This is a company that's been in business for nearly 25 years, been making miniature games since at least 2004 (if I can trust Wikipedia), and they can't get a release like this even close to right? I know it's a super ambitious project, and I am thankful that the cost of preordering this thing was in no way a setback for me. But you mean to tell me that when they announced it last August they couldn't foresee whatever issue they are having with this thing? I believe I read that an uncirculated pamphlet said originally Q4FY18, then they widely said Q1FY19, then Q2, now Q3, a year after the announcement. When they moved it from Q1 (which is only just coming to an end this week) to Q2, what did they not take into consideration that's delaying it an entire additional quarter? I don't run a game publishing company, I am speaking out of pure ignorance, but this just doesn't seem remotely acceptable.
  12. I am new to the game, only bought the core in August or September, so haven't been around during a release yet. How long after a preview article do the expansions typically ship?
  13. Retweet. My rolls are odd-defyingly awful. Each one.
