Maybe implement it as a ship ability rather than force power, so that it only affects one platform and doesn’t require balancing for existing force users...

it could have a dial with blue/white basic manoeuvres only, and the ability to spend a force to rotate 90 degrees after fully executing a manoeuvre. (You’d need to have some blues to allow it to deal with stress applied from other sources).

Limiting it to 90 degree rotation only would make it a bit more unique / interesting/ challenging to fly, as it wouldn’t have access to a K-Turn, but could Talon Roll at any speed... ;)

ETA2 Actis is supposed to be ridiculously agile...  :D Still, I'd love some new cool force talent for light side pilots, something as useful as Hate is for the dark ones. Hopefully a much cheaper Brilliant Evasion will fill that spot.

I like your line of thinking. In theory, there SHOULD be force abilities that are beyond the reach of lower-skill jedi. If it costed 2 force points, this would exclude the basic inquisitors and jedi knights and would only be usable by those who are stronger with the force.

Being able to basically change the quality of your dial seems strong enough to cost 2 force points. It also stops you from using it every turn since you only generate 1 at the end of the round.

IMHO Battle Meditation is one of those rare talents that should have been more coslty Forcewise.
I do hope that either prices of Delta 7B will go down to allow for high-initiative all Delta 7B list, or some new cool Force talents will increase the lethality of standard issue Delta.

Yeah but what's unique that makes that better for the Infiltrator than the delta.

As far as I can tell, Delta's are the one's with the asymmetric advantage due to FTC not being affected by clouds.

IMHO it's better to reposition and hide behind something that the opponent might be reluctant  simply to go through. And, as I added above, it applies to any ship, really, I specified the infiltrator as it gave me most grief due to it's resilience, firepower, and manoeuvrability.

Still don't understand. You mean with the title? Clouds still block a decloak boost/br. What maneuvering advantage does it have over any other ship?

Does it have something boosting obstructed attacks to offset the +1 agi and blank -> evade? Haven't looked at it much TBH.

While giving chase, an Infiltrator just flies through. Or makes a K-turn onto the cloud. Not many would have risked it with a debris clould, hardly anyone with a rock.
Applies to any ship, really, but it was the Infiltrator that gave me the most grief, apart from this asteroid-based turret of a grappled vulture.

  5. I flew three 7B + R2 Deltas (Mace, Luminara, Ahsoka) at a local store torunament and my initial feeling is that force charges are much more useful than pilot abilities, save for Ahsoka - her ability is absolutely superb, regardless whether she supports or uses it on herself.
Still, going against an Infiltrator + 5 vultures proved very hard. Grappling struts were a very very nasty surprise.
Advice, given to me by an expert player who wiped the floor with my list - don't take gas clouds; an infiltrator just ignores them.

"after maneuver" timing avoids several action-skip effects for the repo (you can repo-off rocks/gas clouds and while ionized!),

wait a minute - does it mean I can do it having moved through an obstacle?

This translation seems wrong. The anakin card shows the front arc and bullseye arc symbols. When is a ship in your bullseye arc and not your front arc?

Front arc within range 1. Bullseye is 1-3. Translation is correct.

An A-wing does not allow for a single mistake like bumping (no actions on 4hp) or moving onto a rock (50% to lose 1/4 of hp! and no action to guard the other 3hp) or remaining in too many arcs. Those are important for beginners and maybe intermediate players.

This is exactly what I had in mind when I wrote they do not allow for a single mistake.

I think I'm just a very bad player!

The individual ship is easy, sure, because it has 3 greens and a ridiculously good dial plus a rear arc.

But using these ~40 points well enough to win games is not exactly easy. Play against a 5 Yions or BBBBA or some scum han+fenn lists and tell me your secrets!
And if it is so easy, please go ahead and play extended with them. They are ez mode after all.

Same here. Even mathematics seemed to be against me when I played 5A... advanced optics would hardly trigger, as my most common dice result while attacking  was a focus and a blank (in one round four times in a row). Heroic proved usueful, oh yes, when I rolled four green blanks. Only to re-roll three blanks and a focus :D:D

When a ship is strained it rolls 1 less defense die. Strain clears after the strained ship is either attacked or performs a blue maneuver.

Will strain apply to other waves as well? Seems to be interesting.

🤨 Just call it landing into the same "Why the **** is this faction locked?" boat as BBs and Battle Meditation then...

BBs cannot appear before they were first made, and Battle Meditation seems to be an advanced Force ability some boy from Tatooine or an Alderaanian princess might not be able to work out on their own.
But R4s? These should be available in every scrapyard in the Galaxy, just next to the spare part containers :D

Because the R4-Ps were a modified version of the R series set up only for the Jedi Order and the Republic military.

They could get ARCs :D :D And I'd love to have there R4s on T65 :D

It’s not tied to a phase, it is always on. The only conditions mentioned are getting a stress when there’s an enemy at range 0-1 in his front arc. There’s no condition around when he gets the stress or from what source.

So why haven't they used the wording "When you are stressed" or "when you have one stress token"?

  14. I'm just wondering as to when his ability triggers - during the whole activaton phase, or just after receiving a stress, i.e. after the 'check difficulty' step of the manoeuvre but before 'perform action' step?

I definitely view it as more of a defensive talent than offensive. Blanking on your two die primary with an A-Wing is annoying, but nothing feels worse than blanking out on three greens.

    You're wrong.

Blanking out on four greens feels much worse. Happend to me twice. In the same game.

    P.S. on Corran Horn.

Well, regardless of composure or not, Lulo is amazing. Easily the MVP is a Lulo/Talli/Poe/Jess list I have been running. Gets a lot of 4-dice R1 shots without taking fire in return. I've been running with crackshot and heroic and nothing else. Burn the crackshot on the first round of shooting then flip the guns back and forth while dodging arcs. Probably 75% of my shots are from the rear arc. Insanely fun and good.

I have composed an all i5 list with Lulo, Tallie, Nien and Ello. Some points for talents, astromechs or techs come in handy. Will give it a try soon.

I hadn’t realized that the RZ-2 was getting the double EPT until this thread.

    And the rotating arc.

    And a tech slot.

    And higher initiative pilots.

And all but the I1 are the same points, or cheaper, than the equivalent RZ-1 pilot.

Either these are undercosted (unlikely for a 2 dice attack) or he RZ-1 is severely overcosted/ needs more toys.

Honestly this looks much like what I’d want the RZ-1 to be.

Second EPT, decrease in cost - easily done via app. But the pilots... I do hope it will be re-released as soon as possible.
