I'm no voice actor, I'm not all that great at reading aloud, and there is a bit of reading in this game. I mean, it is not a trilogy or the Silmarillion, but I always end up reading for the groups I play in and... it is tiring. Ya, I could try to pawn it off on someone else, but I would rather not do that to an unwilling group.
This game starts by setting the stage with a voice over, but nothing after that and because of that feels like the game is half baked on a narrative side until you get deep enough and forget all about that one instance of voice over narration.
It would be very nice if the game was narrated in every aspect that contains text, except for player choices.

Thaeggan reacted to Birdman137 in [Spoiler] Can boss enemies stay dead please?
I have found that not knowing a boss is going to respawn is quite a shock and not easy to recover from.  If you go into the fight knowing what you will be facing, it is much more manageable.  In case you'd like to know what is coming, you have to beat the final boss in both the Ember Crown and Shadowed Path campaigns
    times to win.

Finally got through the first campaign with my group. One thing that bothered us was the boss enemies, Uluk, Gulgotar, and Atarin all had to be killed twice. Talk about annoying when your group bends over backwards to down the boss only to have them get back up.
Uluk was an exception where the goblins pulled the troll away which was pretty lame. We did amazing damage only to get nothing and forced to deal with the troll later. We never did kill the troll... Gulgotar got wrecked and the adventure ended 😂
An all success run on normal so that was nice, but the fight with Atarin specifically made us frustrated. We were getting swarmed as expected, but managed to sneak in the kill only to have him come back and down 2 players before we could do it again.
So, could we get bosses that only die once? Would be nice.

I own all three games between Imperial Assault, Mansions of Madness, and JiMR. All three are very good, but it's more of a question on what you want out of a game.
IA and JiMR are both campaign style games, whereas MoM just has one-off scenarios. If your game group has a shorter attention span and can't handle the commitment of a long running campaign, MoM is your best bet.
IA is also a competitive game, whereas MoM and JiMR are cooperative. If you go with IA, depending on the skill disparity between the people in your group, it could become a frustrating experience. Especially if the Imperial player ends up wiping the floor with the rest of the group. (And similarly, if your best player is among the Rebels and winds up dictating their entire plan, your Imperial player could get equally frustrated) IA is an incredibly fun game, but it's not for every game group. I haven't played Skirmish mode yet, but that will offer some extra replayability if you like competitive games.
Obviously, there's the question of theme. I'm personally a huge fan of the whole Lovecraft / AH aesthetic, so MoM is right up my alley. And I also really enjoy the sleuthing aspect of it. But if you prefer the Star Wars IP, or LotR, that can also help influence your decision. Both IA and JiMR represent their IPs very well.
And of course, there's the issue of cost. If you don't care about expansions and just want the core set, all three games cost roughly the same amount, depending on where you buy them from. If you want everything, IA is by far the most expensive. Not only are there a ton of expansions and figure packs, some of them are very hard to find anymore, and you might have to pay more than their retail value to get your hands on them. MoM has a large number of expansions as well, but FFG does a better job of keeping those in stock. They're still quite expensive, but not quite as bad as IA. JiMR is by far the cheapest to get a hold of right now, but it won't be forever. Assuming it winds up getting roughly the same number of expansions as IA and MoM before it, it'll probably wind up being somewhere inbetween in terms of cost. It has figure packs and DLC like both IA and MoM respectively, but not nearly to the same extent. Long-term it'll certainly add up, but you can grab everything available for JiMR for about 200 dollars right now. Not too bad considering how much content you're getting out of it.
I could go on and on are how each game compares based on what you're looking to get out of the experience, but it really depends on what's most important to you and your game group.

Here's a loose two for one for you: Eol
    Inspiration: 5
    Strength: 2
    Wisdom: 3
    Agility: 3
    Spirit: 2
    Wit: 4
    Fear: 4, Damage 4
After interacting with a person token you may spend one inspiration per round to maintain an estranged marriage with the person and gain +1 to all attributes.
Must perform a Last Stand after taking any amount of fall damage. 😂

Simply put, you only discard a prepared card if:
    1) The card says to discard itself
    2) You use one of the bold keywords on the card (ie. strike x, hide, sprint x)

    3) The app or other game effect specifically tells you to do so

You’ll notice on the back of the rules reference that each of those keywords will have you discard the card after use.
Other than those examples, you can keep those precious cards prepared for as long as you like! Examples of cards that do not get discarded after use of their main text include: Keen Eyes (Legolas), Master Tactician (Captain), Self Sufficient (Burglar), and Trailblazer (Pathfinder). Remember, though, each of those cards also have a keyword which, if used, will discard the card. This keyword can be used in addition to the main card text.

I was able to grab a large Plano box and migrate all the enemies and tokens into it. I was okay with the outcome but not exactly happy as the larger tokens had to mix with the other large tokens. Then I saw the Balrog didn't make it in yet.... Durin's Bain strikes again!
I had to put the Balrog in with the mix of heroes to fit him in with the figs

Fair warning to everyone who has it delivered by UPS (because I want to hope it didn't look like this when it left Asmodee). The outer brown box was partly broken open when it was delivered and the actual game box is dented and torn on the back. It's not enough of a worry for me as long as everything inside is fine but if it was bad for me it could be worse for someone else
    https://imgur.com/a/udUhTUu
The interior box is also warped and dented but none of the minis, cards, or other game pieces appear to be damaged.

Update: One of my Goblin minis was  broken off his base. That said it was a clean break (feet just came off the base) so I can easily glue him back.

Update 2: All cards, token sheets, and rules are fine. So a damaged box and a damaged mini were what I ultimately wound up with.

When my group can manage to stay on top of combat so you aren't overrun all the time, yes I get the adventure and discovery feel.
My group really only meta games combat. Otherwise we and running around on our own will but obviously we are trying to work together so we'll be mentioning our game plans for movement when its not obvious.

I've just seen a new listing on some UK/EU game sites for what looks to be a pre-order listing for a new small expansion for LoTR:JiME - titled "Dwellers in Darkness".  Price is around £15 (€17) area, similar price point to the Villians of Eriador pack.   No images or details listed beyond that.  Exciting stuff!
