Onar can heal 6 each rest at the beginning of the game, and can also get the cybernetic arm. While this is mitigated by only being able to rest once per activation, once he's wounded, give him painkillers (perhaps via MHD-19's medical load out?) and he can heal 14 by resting twice.

Some non-unique inquisitors. A two figure group, high cost of 9-12, and only coming as elite, like the dewback rider. That would thematically allow them to hound the rebels anywhere they go, but the rebels have to cause some serious trouble to attract their attention. Possibly an ability or agenda card that would lower their cost if the rebels are using Diala, Davith, or any force user ally.
The K-4 enforcer droid from the torture room in RotJ. Give the mercs a lower cost droid for the jawa to buff and to serve in IG-88's army.

I was thinking a generic Clawdite given some other descriptor, such as Assassin, Infiltrator, etc. It would have an sculpt that differs from the Zam sculpt of the shapeshifter, and would offer a way to expand upon the Clawdite powers without punishing people for not having HotE. The name is just to differentiate the two Clawdites, maybe different stats and dice as well, i.e. the assassin gets a pair of blue dice for sniping...

I was just trying to think of the most feasible way for them to add form cards to Clawdites, since they came in an expansion.
And since FFG is into small, annoying creatures like loth-cats, maybe they'll put mynocks in the game as well. They can have three molds on one base and use the clear acrylic piece used for squadrons in armada to have them "fly" like they did the jet troopers. Give them a weak attack with extra damage to droids and vehicles, and the ability to weaken with a white die for defense.

I'd like to see a blister pack of a Clawdite Assassin or something similiar, and have it come with more form cards that are interchangeable with the Clawdite from Heart of the Empire.
It would also be interesting to have a mini campaign focused around the events of Solo, with the younger Han and Lando.

I've been thinking about the inevitable arrival of Yoda to IA. He should be along the lines of Emperor Palpatine in that he will have the innate pierce 3, an advanced force push action that can move up to 2 small figures or one large figure up to three spaces. He'd be slow at speed 3, but able to force sprint, and possibly buff nearby allies with an automatic surge, and would come with his own surge block to go with a white defense die. Not sure on offense, maybe red and green.

Imperial tank commander: essentially a generic General Sorin, buffs and commands nearby vehicles and heavy weapons, but not droids, and for an action can call in a mortar strike: pick a space 3-5 spaces away, roll red die, all adjacent figures take the damage. This would give a donut effect like the twin laser turret from X wing, and prevent self damage.

What do y'all think of a Dathomian hero? She could be a cross between force user and healer, using magic to save a fellow hero from death, poisoning enemies (either through a weaken and bleed for a certain number of rounds or a new condition altogether), use voodoo dolls to harm figures within the same group, and provide buffs to teammates.

His first line of abilities: +1surge/evade/block, May reroll 1 any die
Specials:
Power of the pack: Can only use your first line of abilities when within 3 spaces of a friendly HUNTER. Once/group/activation they have access to these too. When any of the abilities is used you gain 1?power token.
Advanced scattergun: You may spend power tokens during attacking to deal 1 damage to an enemy within 2 of target who you could attack. You may spend surges on these enemies too. Can use them any times/attack but only once/target.
Has surges: recover 1, +1 damage and bleed/weaken
I like this idea, but I'd lean more towards the Nikto, as there are already two groups of trandoshan hunters and Bossk.
I really like the idea of the shotgun being able to use all its surge abilities against a nearby figure.
I could see a mini campaign about rescuing abducted people from a wildlife preserve that mercenaries are using to hunt people.

4LOM and Zuckuss: a two figure pack, like to see them with synergistic abilities (i.e. while Zuckuss is on the board, 4-LOM gains [insert ability]) and a focus on their foresight abilities, when defending, force the attacker to reroll, while attacking, the defender is forced to reroll, etc.
I'd like to see a Bith, an iconic species that's been under represented thus far.
This may be a bridge too far, but in Last Jedi, Crait was an abandoned rebel base. What if it got a little spotlight, and be able to earn one of the crystal dog things as a companion.

True, I just thought it would be funny to play off his immortal words from Return of the Jedi

Admiral Ackbar- a leader type like Jabba, more focused on supporting his troops than joining the combat. Maybe a special action that orders two friendly figures to move up to their speed. It could be called Trap Avoidment.
Quarian black market dealer- the other squid head species, mercenary, and is able to play a support role, like Jabba, but with less potent abilities, and maybe a weak blaster attack, blue and yellow.

That is awesome!

I like where the "transport" mechanic can go and what it can do for the game. Maybe the "loaded" figures can't attack using their dice pool, but can operate the vehicle's guns, and the transport is unable to attack without any figures riding in it?
subtrendy2 and NagyLaci reacted to this -
Subtrendy2, do you mean the actual mold has empty spaces for small figures? Because I think that would be awesome. It could bring the sarlaac pit in Jabba to life in a huge way, with weequay pirates taking potshots from their skiff...

Been thinking about Massive characters to add:
The Occupier tank from Rogue One on Jedha, it would be interesting to see a transport mechanic, a special action to pick up two adjacent friendly figures, move and deploy them to adjacent spaces. If an enemy interrupts and kills the tank, all three figures are defeated.
Land speeder, possibly sculpted similarly to Luke's speeder from New Hope, with an added turret for armament. Could be brought in as a rebel or mercenary figure, maybe a weaker transport power, i.e. only one adjacent figure.
Acklay, the giant mantis creature from Episode 2, it could make an interesting and intimidating friend for the rancor.

I like the idea of Imperial troopers who aren't stormtroopers. I could see them showing up in a mini campaign set on a star destroyer. They could be paired up with imperial pilots, and if they make the story like Twin Shadows, it could be a lot of fun. I enjoy the open ended but entirely plausible stories.
Maybe a mini campaign focusing on the Black Sun Syndicate, possibly paying homage to Shadows of the Empire? They could add a large variety of of Black Sun criminals to firm up the mercenary faction, assassins: fast and agile, enforcers: big bullet sponges and inaccurate, led by Xizor: a combination of Jabba and Palp.
A dianoga would be interesting for a new creature, a large, 2x2 figure the sculpt could have just the eye and some tentacles, like most of it is submerged under the board. It could be challenging to deal with the habitat so it doesn't seem broken thematically.
Borrowing from the comics again, the cyborg rancor could be interesting to see, if only if it's an upgrade card for the same figure. Slow him down, up the inherent defense, maybe a bit more health and a new surge ability.
The imperial spy from New Hope, if no other imperial figures are within 3 spaces, it can't be attacked, maybe only a one dice attack but special actions along the lines of C-3P0.

4 minutes ago, Uninvited Guest said:Once per figure activation or once per group activation? It's a question that's come up more than once in the past, so it's an important clarification.
Group activation, it could get out of hand if the sole surviving droid spawns a new one, who spawns a new one on his turn.
Although, that is sort of how the droids were used in the clone wars...
Uninvited Guest reacted to this -
B-1 battle droids, 5 threat, 3 figures, speed 4, health 2, attack green and yellow, defense white with expendable, and for two surges can redeploy a defeated figure from their group once per activation.
subtrendy2 reacted to this -
The fact that they added BT-1 and 0-0-0 into the game means they aren't afraid to use the comics as source material, so Aphra is within the realm of the possibilities. I do worry that they'll bring the B-1 battle droid and it could Jar-Jar it up. On the other hand, they could be like the nexu and make them into something to be feared and respected.

I could see something like a "Ghosts of Jedha" small box campaign that follows heroes visiting the ruins of Jedha City and the Jedi Temple, break into the labs on Eadu, and/or maybe infiltrating the excavation of Scariff Base.
"Ghosts of Jedha", it has a nice ring to it, and there's a large window of possibilities they could play with and I'd like to see the temple ruin tiles in the desert.
They could have a 'fire support team', the rebel equivalent of heavy troopers with less health and more speed, and who are the space monkey species that Bistan is.
Smashotron reacted to this -
Agreed, that's why I proposed them as a blister pack, like the ISB Infiltrators. Regardless of where you are in your collection, you can pick them up for whatever a 3 figure blister pack goes for these days, and also get an agenda set, and a side mission to bestow a neat death trooper-inspired rewards.
And the core and RtH campaigns did use the movies as a jump off point, but then leads on its own adventure. My idea is to do it in reverse, Rogue One's time period, open ended story to start and it pushes towards the battle at Scarif. Missions like being a distraction on Wobani while Cassian rescues Jyn from the prison, trying to steal some Kyber Crystals from the Empire, searching for Saw and finding him unwilling to help.

New Character Ideas
in Imperial Assault Campaign
Posted
I've been thinking about a mini-campaign that follows some of the events of the Vader comics and Rebels tv show, specifically Geonosis in the aftermath of the Clone Wars.
The story would explore the planet and the presence of the Empire on what has been reduced to mostly a dead planet. The heroes would discover the droid factory that Vader found in the comics, uncover some of the roots of the Death Star, fight off a nest of Nexus and spar with a bounty hunter and his client.
New units would include B1 battle droids, cost 5, health 2, group size of 3, and a surge to reinforce the unit without spending threat, once per group.
Imperial combat engineers, cost 5, group size 2, health 4, uses shotguns, so short range, red yellow attack, able to throw grenades and repair droids, vehicles and possibly doors and terminals.
Dr. Aphra and Black Krrsantan as a mercenary blister pack, an original Imperial officer for the story's main adversary.
A geonosian hero, very squishy, fast and mobile due to his wings. Mobile goes away when wounded (wings got injured).
Any thoughts?
