Haven't panted in some time, but I was able to knock out Ursa and the large spider (name?) after dinner.

All the while being judged by Gandalf.

Wowzers... That came out great! Well done. 👍
Edit: funny that you said it was a ton of fun to paint. I HATE painting. In fact the only hate I have greater than painting is gray on the table... that's the only reason I do it. I mean, I've got a life to live. Lol.

No. I'll just wait until it arrives. 😋

No joke. Gandalf judging me while I try to get him painted...

Awesome, I cannot wait to see your Balrog. The books, the movies and the lore are so precious to us, that we all fear screwing up the Balrog. Well that, and Gandalf and Legolas and Bilbo and Aragorn and Arwen and the dwarves and so on... but most of all we fear of the Balrog! 😅

That is very kind of you. It's my daughter that's the better painter in our family. I showed this to her... boy howdy, did you make a 13 y/o's day! 😊
That being said, she REFUSES to paint the Balrog. 😅 She's working on a Warhammer AoS Sylvaneth Treelord now.

Personally, I'm satisfied with the content that's available now in addition to the replay value. Even if I only got a couple of years out of it, I'd be happy. I mean, things can't last forever. Buy it now and enjoy it while it lasts. Don't fear the future of it.

Got a chance to take a closer look the Dwellers in Darkness figure pack today. Quality seems to be on par with previous villain figures, with no significant gaps, no unusual defects and no appreciable difference in material color. Maybe I got lucky?

My daughter is working on the dwarves. Other than some coffee stains, they're coming along nice...
...nice that I don't have to paint them. Lol.

... then again, it is a haunting, so I guess it can be considered seasonal for this time of the year. 👻

The Haunting of Dale campaign is available. Looking forward to this, however MoM owns our gaming table until November 1st. Lol.

I posted this in another thread just before I saw thread. I'm just going to copy and paste because I honestly I'm just too lazy to type it again. Lol.
......
So far I like what I see. Considering what I've spent to own every single component for D2e, MoM and JiME, not to mention painting/basing supplies, the price tag is not an issue for me. I see so many "So this game is dead?" threads... I for one don't mind ponying up to support a new product.
It looks like LotD hero depictions allow for improved inclusion, giving this game greater appeal to a wide range of gamers and current non-gamers alike. I can imagine many people identifying on some level with the hero that they have chosen to play in LotD. The more people that we are able to get on board with a new game, hopefully the greater support it will have in the coming years. IDK... maybe I'm just seeing things that aren't there. Either way, I'm really looking forward to a new experience. 🙂

Well then that makes sense. I purchase 4K / UHD discs from European Amazon sites when the movies aren't available over here, and shipping always seems to be the same cost as the movie itself. 😖

Why.

This is what comes up in my cart for shipping to Colorado. I already have one, but was just curious about shipping.

Painted JIME
in The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-earth
Posted · Edited by doubletapdaddy
I just figured they were egg sacs. And wow, that's quite a name / title! The main reason for the different colors is that we decided to paint all of the JiME figures using contrast paints (with the exception of eyes, metallics and basing).
