  1. You’re good – the other guy was annoyed, Not me!
  2. What’s funny is I was the one that asked him in both cases. Though I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t clear what was being asked the first time! If they do a FAQ that will clear it up for everyone, and the stream is evidence in the mean time.
  3. Daniel Lupo (Rebel - Sabs) and Luke Cook (Imperials, Veers Boba) moved on from Group A. Kyle Dornbos (Rebels - Wonder Twins), and Eric Riha (Imperial - Palpatine) moved on from Group B. Kyle plays Lupo, and then Luke plays Eric. The winners of those games will play in the final tomorrow!
  4. @Derrault Lol. I didn’t say I was, I’m just saying it’ll probably come up. Also - that’s exactly what I’m talking about. We’ve been taking risks for a year and three months. This isn’t the weekend for risks, this is a weekend for what we all think we are comfortable with.
  5. It’s fine man - I’m still relatively hyped. I’ll probably feel better when I get outta this dang airport!
  6. Emojis always help - and sorry if I sounded too hostile, but it sucks when you’re super hyped to go to the first Worlds, but you wake up to “you brought a cookie cutter list and should feel bad” (not specifically you, elsewhere). Maxing activations has certain perks yeah. I hate how boring I felt submitting the final version of my list, but with what I saw from the Worlds tables, I went with a much safer bet. My Veers Double snow/ Boba list was ready to rock
  7. I will gladly suck it, if you feel the need to A: Devalue the work we’ve been putting in the last year to get to this stage and B: Feel the need to put down the way someone plays a game (which I do for fun) I’m pretty happy that the factions are even and we got two Palp lists. If you think we’re all obsessed with snipers because we brought them, you’re missing the point.
  8. Super stoked to see Palp in there - I was hoping for a Luke/Han to show up but no dice.
  9. The developers will be there, it’s at FFG HQ. I believe we get a chance to discuss the game with them, so some of the things you mentioned will definitely be brought up.
  10. If you’re on the discord, talk to Ripasmaster - he can probably take care of you!
  11. I most definitely had a dice off at High Command!
  12. Here’s one of the final two lists for this currently Invader league season. Boba/Bossk was quite popular, and this one is going to play in the final happening in the near future: https://tabletopadmiral.com/legion/empire/p08u2cuEMuEMp05u07u42uEMuEMp05u07uEMuEMuEMp05u07uEMuEMuEMp05u07uEMuEMuEMp22u26u36u2bp10u26uEMu2buEMp1au34uEMuEMuEMuEMp1au34uEMuEMuEMuEMp1au34uEMuEMuEMuEM
  13. I can definitely help in that department I ran the Las Vegas Open and helped run AdeptiCon. https://discord.gg/ueRYKet there’s the discord link
  14. Definitely the Facebook group which is pretty active, as well as the Legion Discord. A good mix hangs out on both
  15. Should probably share it on more than just these forums.
  16. What I’ve noticed is that Vaporators often comes down to points destroyed, as both player repairs or destroys their respective objectives. Blue wins point ties, so if no one makes a move and neither side loses an activation, then blue wins! Therefore Red is forced to make a move and break the deadlock. That means that the Red player starts at a slight disadvantage, and sometimes can make a bad move to get ahead on points. Its not as bad as the old key positions, but it can be a tough spot to start in.
  17. In a post Death Trooper world, definitely. As someone who used snipers on them, some were quite limiting. Everyone was made using the 25% rule, and some had more than that - but I think the dense thing is something good to keep in mind, really packing that 25% section with stuff is essential.
  18. To your last point, all I can say is “Roger Roger”. Ive seen a couple effective “elite” lists, as well as other suggestions to counter spam like a pass mechanic. In reality, spamming too many units is actually a bad thing, because you lose control and have no quality units (I’m looking at you 14 act Rebels). I think the meta has settled around 10, but as more interesting support, operatives, and special force units come out, I wouldn’t be surprised if we fell down to the 8-9 range. Theres other advantages to spamming troopers unit too btw. They score on a the current objective cards that you can play, and have other benefits, like a simple order pool where you know what you’re going to get when you pull randomly for an activation token.
  19. Keep in mind this is on event happening in the first year of the game - it’s not like we have a lot of choice! I’m just happy we had more variety than Imperial Assault Worlds, where 80% of the lists there were the literal exact same thing. What this list doesn’t show you is the awesome variety I personally saw at adepticon (I’m #4 on that list). Besides, I’ve you've played competitive 40k, you know people will find an effective thing and spam it. That’s been true in most competitive games I’ve ever played anyway. Multiple of the same thing gives you options if a unit gets hit early. What I've noticed is that yes, you leave upgrades at home for a good number of units. But leaders, and other elite units (like Death Troopers) can get loaded up. Additionally, Armies like Clones will be very elite (like Grey Knights). This is because you have back and forth activations in Legion, so if I have 10 activations and you have 12, you would get to use two things without me getting to react. So activation advantage is something you’d work to achieve during a game (I.e., don’t leave lone squad leaders wandering around, eliminate them!). I’ll close with this - the game gets new units basically every month, and so the top list at one event can vary greatly from competition to competition. The developers have done a great job at keeping the game interesting over this first year, and Legion will get more complex as time goes on. Hopefully this helps explain what you’ve noticed!
  20. It was definitely that awesome drone angle making things look more open than they actually were. I played some quite LoS heavy maps myself
  21. Top 8 lists from Adepticon. Note, Krennic, Death Troopers, and a vehicle for each side have been added since high command! https://swlegionodds.com/2019/04/09/adepticon-high-command-top-8-lists/
  22. That’s an important distinction - 25% light, regular, and dense! Topics we are adding to the website in the near future...
  23. That sounds incredibly unlucky.
  24. Looks like it was indeed intended to release this week, but due to circumstances non-US locations got it on time. I like the battle cards it comes with - looks like a good time.
