Iirc announcements are usually done on a Thursday.

Probably are. I don't dodge forum adjustments to the more colorful parts of language, but I don't refrain from using them either.

Scum Illicit for one point... what would it look like?
Hiemfire replied to Greedo_Sharpshooter's topic in X-Wing
It'd turn Binayre Pirates and other low I Illicit slot ships into mobile, large area, damage + anti-action "mines" with a high likelihood of landing their effect. That is worth more than 1 point. Also imagine it on a YT-1300, Lancer, Firespray or a C-ROC. That would be a really large area of coverage for the effect. -

On only a crit result I could see that being worth 1pt. Hit or crit 50/50 for a damage that ignores shields is worth more that 1 point. -
1. Trans. 2. I don't think the *******, and I mean Trump not KC, really gave a **** either way about gays, trans, or others.

Coaxium has the further issue of only one ship in the game can use it. -
Scum Illicit for one point... what would it look like?
Hiemfire replied to Greedo_Sharpshooter's topic in X-Wing
It's only powerful on those that can bypass its restrictions, which all three ships that have it natively currently and the title do, and even then in all 4 of those cases it is white (K-Wing's bombs + white reload bypasses the disarm and Black One is a discounted white SLAM + disarm bypass). Stress + Disarm is a very strong mitigating combo. Even those ships that could take it, in this case as an illicit, and counter the stress cost in some fashion still do not have the ability to remove the disarm. Aside from the Fireball, which I already pointed out can ignore the limits. Making a Red SLAM illicit a single charge upgrade, even at 1 point, would relegate it to the same niche as Jamming Beam and any other Illicit not named Contraband Cybernetics... -
One correction. Firing arc ends with range 3 outside of Huge ships (which cap at range 5 for their longer ranged hardpoints). So Drew's supposition of a Vulture passing a token to DIS-T81 from "range 6" isn't happening.

Why not just have it add a Red SLAM action to the action bar and ditch the rest (including the charge). You're looking at it already causing the ship to gain a stress and a disarm that way. The only thing with the illicit slot that can ditch disarm tokens is the Fireball, which already has white SLAM. -

In the unlikely event that it'd put you into 0 firing arcs or behind a gas cloud? Sure, it'd be worth it. Outside of that no. Even then, not sure I see it as worth even 1 pt. -

🤨 So Brotex's? Aggressors are the only ship this would be even remotely close to an okay idea on. Every other ship with the slot would get dropped to A1 or A0, or it just wouldn't have an effect at all. -

Off-Book Refit. 2 pip. Illicit/Mod dual slot. Restrictions: Missile and/or Torp slot. No cannon slot. Text: Remove all torp and missile upgrade slots. Adds cannon slot. While you perform an attack, you must re-roll all critical results. -
Term is in the Epic Battles RR. It means ships that are part of a list belonging to another player who is on the same team as you. Allied ships do not count as friendly ships.

Front arc, not full front arc. Full front arc is the same as the primary firing arc on a YV-666 or a Auzituck.

I think the next wave's announcement article for X-Wing will be on the 19th of this month or the 3rd of Dec. The 26th is a national holiday here in the US. That's barring complications from other sectors.

There was a list linked in the Composition section but it looks like the link is dead now (it is to an old 1.0 squad builder). Found the list though in a "Head to Head" poll from Feb 26, 2016 on their site. Yep, we're still waiting on an Official Ruling on it. The joy of fandom ******* with things... For linking images from fandom sites you need to cut everything past the image format, ie ".png", ".bmp" or ".gif", out of the linking url. Dammit... Fandom is ******* with **** again. Can't get to the ref image of the card to link it now... -
A Nov/Dec announcement would probably be for a March or April street date iirc.
-
There is also the possibility of them setting up a target for squadron mates (so zip through at top speed tossing the token onto the/an intended target). Not saying it will be good, but boosting the effect of others in the list does still seem to be the Rebel shtick, even if it is just putting the focus target into a box because of a "forced" blue maneuver (requires set up, but is a possibility).
-
Don't forget it also triggers when the ship that is equipped with it gets locked and False Transponder Codes is mandatory (does not say "may").

Ya, the "logic" is astounding...
