  1. Peace all. I'll be keeping an eye out for if AMG starts one up, but looks like it's time to log off. Been fun.
  2. Not something I'd want competitive side, but it would definitely make for a nice ability for a kill objective target in Standard/Epic/Scenario play. 🙂
  3. Silly? Maybe. Thematic? Definitely if Ubergeneration Imps embraced miniaturization. Honestly was making sure you were aware of how they set up the charge mechanic. A hypothetical, and OTT, example to be a little more clear as to the possibility I was pointing out: Keep the stats as is other than changing to 8 charges, double recurring. "Setup: Lose 8 charges. If you perform a primary attack that hits and the defender is in your bullseye arc, you may spend 8 charges to add that many hit results." Starts at 0 charges. 4 turns to charge. Hard max of 11 hits at range 1 against a defender in bullseye. Possible additional lines: "Any hit/crit results beyond what is required to destroy the defender are applied to the next closest ship or remote beyond the defender in your bullseye arc instead. If that object is destroyed, any excess hit/crit results are applied to the next closest ship or remote in your bullseye arc beyond it. Repeat till there are no hit/crit results left to be applied from the attack." Yah, it's wordier but it fits super weapon to a "T". I'd also make the ship 1 pip, no SLAM action, have it use the Kimogila dial, and cost bare as much as Scum Fenn Rau. If the timing is kept after the confirmation of the attack hitting it'd work. Just have to keep the extra dice rolled away from the initial attack roll. I'd personally stick with the sure damage over the possibility of getting nothing for the expenditure of a charge.
  4. Could also increase the number of charges and then set it to double or triple recurring (the number of arrows next to the amount of charges is the number of charges that get fliped to active in the endphase). Agreed.
  5. So the ship ability isn't meant to do anything? 😜 I'm kidding. I think the terminology you're looking for instead of "remove all" is "Lose 4 ." And the 6 dice cap is on the number of dice rolled, not total results.

@Kyle Ren was the one that put up the original post here iirc. Was for either a Vassal or TTS league they had going.
  7. Need to be aware that the rules might be changing a bit since Asmodee, FFG's parent company, is in the process of shuffling X-Wing to another subsidiary, Atomic Mass Games. We're sitting in a bit of a limbo state at the moment waiting to see/hear what AMG is going to do with the game.
  8. New players = new perspectives, possibly new challenges, maybe new friends, and are the continuing life blood of any game. As much as we bang heads with each other, when we do, most if not all of the players that transitioned to 2.0, from what I've seen, at least recognize that.
  9. Might actually get Uglies in as playable in standard if we're lucky. Base "ship" + 2-3 "configurations" to flesh out what the heck is being flown. I'm probably dreaming though.
  10. 🤨 I thought that was just general knowledge about how random pack contents are usually set up? WotC took their MtG "rng" distribution system and applied it to their miniatures games. It's basically a Gatcha(sp)/lootbox style distribution system that predates the internet by a couple of decades at least. Oldest I can think of offhand that used the system are the muscle/mighty men and beastmen (the ones with the thermal activated ro-sham-bo stickers, my favorite was a squirrel) toy series' from the 70s and 80s. Likely predates that even.
  11. Now imagine how much more you would have dropped if contents of the expansions you purchased were random. Chief reason why I never touched WotC's Star Wars mini games.
  12. /sigh The effects are competing with each other for which one is in effect when the game reaches the point of the Engagement Phase where the ships actually start engaging, which takes place after the Timing of both pilots and Heightened Perception. Since all 3 enter the ability queue at the same time and are resolved in player order at the start of the Engagement Phase, Second Player using HP/Roark or Torkil cancels out First Player using HP/Roark or Torkil. You're interpretation requires abilities to only partially resolve before moving onto the next one in the ability queue. That isn't how it works since the rules themselves do not support it. First Player HP/Roark/Torkil at the start of the Engagement Phase "This is the Initiative that ship "x" is engaging at." Second Player HP/Roark/Torkil at the start of the Engagement Phase "This is the Initiative that ship "x" is engaging at." Engagement Phase moves onto the actual engagements at I7/6/5/4/3/2/1/0 with the effect put in place by the Second Player dictating when ship "x" engages.

Was just thinking it was a possibility that you'd run into references to them and set up some custom 1.0 cards for them.
  14. The Vector seems to blend Incom and Slayn & Korpil design aesthetics, but with the weapons moved more inboard either in the fuselage itself in an over/under configuration or stylized as the forward jutting vanes extending from the engines either side of the cockpit. Do the top two stabalizers look like they might shift position to extend to the side to anyone else?

@Darth Meanie This seems like it may be something that at a minimum crossed your path once.
  16. Then what is the point of all 3 saying "At the start of the Engagement Phase, you may" if not to set up a queue for them to be applied and what ever costs required to be paid. If they aren't put into the queue the abilities as written do not function. Edit: Honestly I think you're mixing up how these are applied with how, lets say, Jyn Erso crew is applied.
  17. They all resolve at the start of the Engagment phase via the ability que.
  18. Torkil only differs from Roark and HP in target and at which Init the target engages at
  19. Both HP and Torkil say the one affected by the ability engages at overwriting any previous ability that does not have a "cannot" prohibiting the change. First player HP says "I'm going to engage at I7." then Second player Torkil says"Nah, you're engaging at I0."
  20. It is their right to do so just as it is your right not to take the vaccine.
  21. Means the companies making it should probably look at doing the initial distribution this coming spring and summer south of the equator if they can't get it down there sooner. Do we know if the virus in the vaccine is live or not? As someone with Sarcoidosis that is a major concern for me.
  22. That was exactly what the rule addition that triggered this was in response to.
  23. I'm guessing he goes down to a bolt to the head. Semi Indiana Jones sword "duel" style.
