Can I skip the big box?

I live in Central Indian, USA.

Can I skip the big box?

Greetings, I think that I am ready to take the plunge and start getting an army together. I am wondering though, how vital are the contents of the big box. The price tag is a lot for me to swallow right now. Part of the appeal for me is the tiny cost, at least compared to Warhammer.

    First FO list

After thinking it over, I have decided to try the Uber-Elite list mentioned above. I will likely change things a bit as I gain experience and get my own ideas.

    Mynock Squadron 152 Feedback

I am not willing to hang my hat on that being wrong, but I will point out that I am looking at many different games, such as competitive 40k. While I feel that there is potential for an interesting debate on net listing and trying to buy your way to victory, I am not sure if it would be appropriate here. No really, I am jut not sure.

Sadly most competitive scenes have those people who try to game the system for an auto win button.
  6. To the OP, while I commend you on not wanting to just kick this player out into the cold, you can never change someone who is not ready to do so. My advice to is to try and stay in touch with him if you want, but you need to reform the meta with out him.
  7. I now feel fortunate to have a small but healthy casual meta that I can play with.

    First FO list

I want to run First Order. How common is an Upsilon supported by Tie Fighters? In such a list, what would be a good number of TFs?
  9. Greetings, I have recently started playing again at Hero's Emporium in Carmel, IN. I would love to meet up there with other people to play with.

The Girl that Punctually Realizes Castles

My most appropriately named deck is Yandlort, the Shield-Bearer of the Fort. It has a lot of creatures with Elusive and Skirmish.

    Tournament Document Doesn’t Define “Dice”

    What definition are you using?

    Tournament Document Doesn’t Define “Dice”

Let us assume that a spin down is not a die. That still does not change the fact that FFG has gone into some detail about what tokens must be used, especially during high tier events.

    Tournament Document Doesn’t Define “Dice”

If I am right, then they are trying to use legalistic arguments that all dice are just token.

    Tournament Document Doesn’t Define “Dice”

I think that I have figured it out. They are trying to prove that a token is no different than a die.

I challenge you back, define roll.
