  5. Finished one off with my Gozanti in turn 5. Lost the ISD only. Got Darth Raider and Demo in behind, stripped the DCO, APT crits up the poop chute. Was a variation of my Worlds list, trying the Cymoon with it. Even though it did the job that match, wasn't a fan. Was a Ravager Assault Prototype backed up by with a Goz and a handful of TIEs. Here's my list, but I'll be going back to the ISD II for future uses of this fleet. I was going first vs. his Planetary Ion Cannon. We also play with proxies of the RitR content to test it out in most casual games here. 6. The new RRG will be used for the TXGO, in case anyone was wondering.

  10. Bump for visibility. Only 10 days away!
  11. Thats a stretch and Im just not buying that. It states it is an effect, not that "this squad works this way". Way too much over thinking going on.
  12. Except you ignore the "cannot", so it cannot be absolute. And he ignores the Keyword on the card treating it as though it weren't there, so the "cannot" isn't even factored in at all. From the RRG under Squadron Keywords: "Each keyword produces the following effect for that squadron:" Since it is producing an effect, I would say that's a card effect. I'm not sure how else you would define those. So you have 2 card effects conflicting, and the cannot > can in this case. Now, on the subject of being thematic to him firing wildly at all targets, I can understand that opinion. However, I think that would be "must fire at all targets in distance 1" if he's firing wildly in all directions, dealing with the consequences of firing on a bunch of squads with counter (like Shara) or turning Bossk into Beastmode. I can see where many are coming from but I think this is simply an overthinking of the card text, order of operations and just wanting it to be different because lore.
  13. This does not make any logical sense. The rulebook rule being overridden is performing more than 1 attack. "and ignores the escort keyword" would be a simple additon to the card but is not present. "Perform an attack" is no different than any other attack. The attacks happen one at a time, so you would check at the start of each attack who you can actually declare as the target. This mean Valen can avoid if IG88B is engaged by another squad. Soontir would ping him for damage for any non counter attack not targeting him. Nothing at all about IG88B implies it is anything other than being able to declare another target, but follows all rules for declaring an attack. Step 1 of an attack is always declare a target. Eligible targets can still be limited. Cannot always trumps can. Nothing here is changing the attack sequence, only how many attacks can be declared. Sorry for double post, am on my phone.
  14. This is what I came up with responding to this in our FB group and agree. "Cannot" overrules a lot of stuff.
  15. I agree, at least as far as 400 pt games go. It's certainly powerful, but I don't think it will disrupt balance in a major way. At least not in the sense that SSD lists will suddenly dominate the competitive meta.
  16. Got a lot of awesome prize support from Tater's Ship Shop, who you can find on Etsy and through the facebook for the TXGO. Tater does an amazing job.
  17. I Rebel - A SW Destiny Podcast donated some awesome prizes.
  18. Gold Squadron Podcast was nice enough to donate some awesome alt art cards.
  19. As long as you know the rules to the game, you'll be fine. We had many newer players last year, a few with only one or two games prior to the event. Everyone is pretty chill and laid back and you'll still get stuff to take home even if you come and lose 3 games. It mirrors the competitive formats, has cool prizes for the winner and stuff, but at the end of the day, it's just supposed to be fun.
  20. 14 Legion seats at the time of post. 13 now. There are about the same number of Destiny seats. A hard choice, but at least there's no wrong answer.
  21. Running out seats, only 14 left.
  22. Running out of seats, come join us.
