  1. I have a B1 character. I went with an upgraded memory core for the brain implant and improved B1 Arms and Legs for the Cybernetic Arms and Legs. I'd say the Eye implant would just be a photoreceptor upgrade. It's harder with an R2 unit since they don't have humanlike parts, but they do have manipulator arms and those legs they wheel around on.
  2. Your attachment is dead. Thanks. One thing about Synthetic Crystals I have now added as a balancing element was to simply have no modifications at all. A player using this Supplement to create crystals can in theory make a Crystal that is right out of the box as good as any natural crystal, or even with the Exact Replica effect exactly like any natural crystal, but once made that's it, they are set and can't improve in any way. You could in theory end up with something that's just as good as a modified crystal, but unless you're cheesing to get an absolutely absurd amount of advantages you probably won't end up with anything more than slightly better than any natural crystal can get even once modified. It takes quite a bit of dice rolling even with high skill to get something that is even slightly better than what you typically can get after modification with a natural crystal. As for the license to print credits, I accounted for that with the high difficulty of attempting it and the Obvious Fake result, on top of the obvious "The Empire is after you now" risk. There's also the 1000 credits it takes to make an attempt and I am changing the amount one can get to 3,000, which means that 2,000 is the most profit one can ever get out of it and it takes 24 hours uninterrupted to make an attempt. With this supplement's rules if one can spare the time and resources to try to make print credits by making and selling synthetic crystals consistently you've probably got just as consistent revenue streams going or ones you could be using like crafting by that point anyway. One thing I've just realized I should probably add is that threats and advantages do not cancel out each other when crafting a crystal, therefore negative effects can cancel out or eclipse positive ones. Now that I think about it, crafting in general would be a lot less broken if one did that.
  3. Because all his minions deserted.
  4. Here's a good link to a site to find most of the FFG Star Wars rules. This one links to the Droid programming rules specifically. https://eote.bgsemc.com/rules/crafting#spending_droid_programming_results
  5. - A noir style private eye type show set in the Star Wars universe. It would be a prime opportunity to show what actually living in the Star Wars universe is like and in particular really gets into the underworld. I don't think there's really much that examines that sort of thing in depth, glimpses sure, but not a real focus of things. - A show entirely about the aftermath of The Last Jedi, particularly about the Resistance. There's so much TLJ set up but there's one thing in particular that was important. At the end of TLJ the Resistance is reduced down to a tiny handful in an old smuggler's freighter. The Resistance building themselves back up to pre-TLJ levels should take years of work and is ripe for material. Unfortunately Rise of Skywalker fails to even put in so much a throwaway line and just puts the Resistance back to pre-TLJ, a consequence of the really REALLY bad and unnecessary attempt to pretend The Last Jedi never happened. Maybe a series could help fix that by actually providing that explanation, among other things.
  6. I was thinking of that, but being attuned already provides a Force Pip and I wanted an actual weapon quality that was good for helping to nonlethally take out opponents.
  7. For the Purification and Corruption qualities, I used Vicious for the Corruption added quality because it's a rather violent quality, as for Concussive it's the most "peaceful" quality I could find, as a Lightsider with a purified Crystal could use it to disable rather than kill opponents. I'll make it add a couple strain damage with attacks instead. I tried to design things so that players could use Synthetic Crystals to create Crystals that could match or slightly exceed natural ones. As Kyber Crystals can have a damage of as high has 9 I didn't think Strong Focus being two would be much of a problem, but I'll raise the number of advantages it requires. I also threw in things like the Lightsaber Breaking and Unstable Synthetic/Compressed because they are actual qualities that Synthetic Crystals have in Legends, but I'll change it to two Triumphs. I also tried to balance the positive results of both tables out with negative ones, such as putting Weak Focus as a 1 threat result to counter damage increases, but I'll alter things a bit.
  8. Thanks, fixed. What I really need feedback on is the balance. I wanted to create something that brings back Synthetic Lightsaber Crystals, and in the process I ended up just expanding Lightsaber Crystals in general. I didn't want to make anything that unbalanced the game though. Well, any more than the crafting system in this game typically does at least.
  9. @Nate Throwing in my Lightsaber Crystal Fan Supplement into the ring.
  10. Yeah, yours worked well. I would've preferred to use a F&D based template for something like this but I could never find one. Roger Roger!
  11. Hello everybody. So I felt compelled to create some new rules for Kyber Crystals. I always loved the idea of Synthetic Kyber Crystals in the Legends canon and wanted to bring it back for this game system. Using DangerShine Designs Eote Module Template (Kudos to them!) I made a supplement in a style hopefully roughly reminiscent of an actual sourcebook. Contained within are a list of all lightsaber crystals I could find the statistics for with a short description. After which is a section for GMs to apply several states to Kyber Crystals that players have located or refined. This is followed by Corruption and Purification rules, then finally the book finishes off with rules to create Synthetic Kyber Crystals. As some may notice I attempted to meld the Legends and current canon for Kyber Crystals as best I could. Download it here: Lightsaber Crystals version 1.6 Any feedback is welcome. EDIT: Fixed a few typos here and there. Made some balancing changes. Made more balancing changes.
  12. One thing that would be nice is if we could use Oggdudes to create a character, export the character into a PDF, then import it directly into SWsheets without having to manually add everything from the former onto the latter.
  13. Question about repairing equipment. As I read it, according to the rules for repairing equipment it costs 25% of full cost for a minor repair, 50% for a moderate repair, and 100% for a major repair, then decrease the repair cost by 10% for each advantage gotten during a successful roll. My question is, does that mean if the number of advantages equals or exceeds the cost % for the repair required i.e. 3 advantage (30%) on a minor repair (25%) or is there a minimum cost regardless?
  14. Aw... and I thought my B1 droid character doing the same thing with a speeder was thinking outside the box. Then again, she did it to avoid risking the lives of her troops as much as possible. Considering she defeated a gang of over 50 with only 4 losses (of which this was the final assault) it seems like that worked. If this ended with anything other than the GF subsequently shooting the guy and taking back the part, I'll be disappointed.
  15. The only regret I have is that there isn't a "THAT'S F***ING AWESOME!" Reaction button on this forum.
  16. Players, has anyone done something that was legitimate, but was so bizarre and/or insane you made your GM flabbergasted? Has any GMs encountered a player that's done that to you? Most of all, what happened?
  17. No problem. As you can probably tell, I haven't been around for a good while. On that note, how's progress? I was recently thinking... I was wanting to make a page for a crafted starfighter I made up as though it was official. I also wanted to make tables for use for a lightsaber crystal crafting book I'm also working on. However, it doesn't seem like your templates have any sort of graphics for stats on vehicles. i.e. Or species for that matter. Any chance you could add something for that, or know of one I could use?
  18. It depends on what exactly Hyperspace IS when it comes to something remaining in it stationary. If it's like Warp Drive in Star Trek as in going really really fast then no, staying stationary is impossible. However, if it's more like Zero Space where it's an alternate dimension of some sort which nature permits going from X to Y in the Star Wars galaxy by traveling through it, then there's no reason it couldn't aside from perhaps structures in the Star Wars galaxy not being able to be there for significant lengths of time without breaking apart. I think with Legends it kind of splits the difference, with Hyperspace being an alternate dimension but close enough to normal or "realspace" to allow it to be possible for something going through Hyperspace to impact an object in realspace in spite of being in another dimension, thus the need for Hyperspace routes. I don't think the rules for Hyperspace have been explored much overall in either continuity.
  19. Nope. Protect/Unleash It doesn't have the ability to be used as fuel for Force Powers, it's restricted to be effective only when directly attacked by something or someone, it can be used to cover another person, and Unleash can be used to directly harm someone. I'd like to be able to do things like walk through a hail of blaster fire and use the same energy I'm being attacked with to fry the attackers with Force Lightning (which would also be an energy based attack that could be used with Tutaminis) or something. I'd also prefer it was a commit Force Ability instead of requiring a roll and besides, I'd like something for Force Users that are starting out as opposed to Protect/Unleash which is a 3 Force Rating ability. Tutaminis has more applications than simply "protect from energy".
  20. Working on it, but I wanted something akin to what the actual Force Power is depicted of doing: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Tutaminis For instance, here is how I would do the base power: So if a user of Force Absorb has a soak of 6, has a FD committed, and gets hit by a shot from a Blaster Carbine at base damage for 8 wounds, the user would take no damage. If the Carbine caused 9 wounds, the user would take 1 wound, same deal with strain if it was switched to stun. If they were struck by a standard Lightsaber however the user would take 4 wounds unless their armor has Cortorsis and as such ignores the Breach quality. Unlike Protect, it can't be used to absorb energy attacks directed at anybody but the user and isn't determined by a characteristic. Unlike Unleash, it can't be used directly as an attack. Later enhancements would increase the amount of soak absorbed up to 6 before 2 soak physical is added as the final (kinetic energy) upgrade in exchange for another FD commitment required. Other branches would allow the user to commit a FD to use Conversion, using the wounds/strain soaked by the power (attacks negated by natural and armor soak can't be used) in a previous round in place of Force Pips rolls to use any other power the user has bought in greater amounts, working in tandem with the amount of energy the user could soak. All other rules necessary to use the other Force Power apply as normal. One enhancement would let the user use an open energy source within engaged range for Force Pips such as an torch flame or even their own lightsaber blade, but using it with one's own equipment will damage it one step. In exchange, one MUST release the energy absorbed by attempting to use it to fuel a Force power in the next round or they will take three times the wounds/strain soaked at the end of the round after they absorbed it. Mastery enhancement of the conversion branch would let the user use the base form of another Force power once per round as a maneuver instead of as an action after soaking an energy attack with Force Absorb, but uses all Force Pips granted by Force Absorb when doing so.
  21. Are there any sort of blank Templates out there for Force Powers? I want to make a custom Force Power (Force Absorb specifically) and it would be a LOT easier if I had a Template I could fill out. A computer program based one, not a printable sheet to be clear.
