  1. Makes sense (I still don't like the career skill thing ?). I would love to have some team thing for our hunter group though.
  2. I don't know the WFRP system either but I don't like the idea of group based career skills. Why would it be easier (less XP) to raise ranks in a skill while I am with the group than when I'm not? Maybe I'm missing a few crucial things from the original system. I like the idea of group talents, purchased together and having a threshold of how many members of the group have to be present for the talent to work. Or maybe scaling in some way with the number of present members.
  3. Oooohh, I think I'm gonna get in on this

  7. You mean they released just a generic tool kit instead of a full-fledged roleplaying game? Man... FFG... I mean... right?

Would it make sense to sort it by time zone?

  10. If you do the suggested 15-20XP per session (iirc) you could let them spend a story point to get an XP advance and use it in the way you outlined above. Not more than what you will give out anyway at the end of the session so there won't be XP debt to track. This way the characters won't need to save up XP theay already have which is something I could see many players not being particularly fond of.
  11. I like Mike Krahulik's (Penny Arcade) name for the Challenge Die: "THE F**K ORB"

  13. So the real question is: Do you refer to the dice by color or by colour?
  14. If I wanted to factor in the opponent`'s skill then I'd probably give the attacker a setback die if his skill is lower than that of the target and maybe a boost if it's better.
  15. I think if you make it a core mechanic, like for a heist game, then you can do it without spending story points. But only if it something that would have come up in preparation. If you want to change something you could not have known in preparation you still have to spend a story point.
  16. We just stumbled over Uncanny Senses in 2.5: it's stated as unranked but the text says "per rank".
  17. This fits the narrative dice so well, great idea!
  18. I am looking at this as a GM but it seems the difference is how we approach this. I do these kind of things together with my players so I don't have that kind of problem. But again, just my two cents. In no way did I intend to crap on your idea. Sorry if it came across that way.
  19. Wouldn't that just make them think about how to fit it into those constraints instead of how that career would really be translated best into career skills?
  20. Why would I limit myself when creating careers instead of choosing the skills that fit? I get that you want to prevent overly powerful or specialized combinations, but is that really necessary? You could just condense it down to the last sentence: "All Career Skills chosen are subject to Game Master approval." Just my two cents.
  21. Man, Mathfinder would be a great setting though
  22. You can take my doc as a starting point if you want to use InDesign: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1BqQqtEqoSuYGedXDeNfEI1O-oeDtajve
  23. Just a thank you for all the work guys, fantastic!
  24. Regarding the background I have this, but I don't remember where I got this from. Either the forums or Discord. It's just Korlall's image doubled up I guess.
