  1. That's not really that much of a drawback. Getting into short range is quite good since you get an easier time hitting fools, there are also talents and mods to let you do more damage in close. You could also get a modded DC-15 which only deals stun damage, then it has full range.
  2. Hey, the dude is responsible for the horrifying death of 10 billion people. Which is like 5 times Alderaan. But hey, he didn't blow up the planet, so I guess he's got that going for him. I'm sure a cunning enough dark sider could spin it into Crix not really having abandoned the Empire but instead been working as a deep infiltrator and double agent.
  3. Why not simply use melee or brawl weapons if you have a decent brawn score? It would make sense and that way you could still use parry, or reflect even if you GM allows it as long as you use a weapon using the lightsabre skill. Melee is pretty **** fun and also gives a pretty interesting character trait since it's harder and more dangerous than just blasting peeps.
  4. The clones might start to be phased out with other less capable ones filling the ranks or non-clones as well. That way you can start blasting storm troopers while still holding true to your oath, so you get around the problematic portion of the oath. Or the clones turn out to be jerks and you go "these are no brothers of mine!" and then blast them.
  5. Also with 3 advantages you can temporarily damage a component of the enemy ship rather than deal normal damage. At two triumphs you can destroy a component rather than deal damage to the ship. Goes for normal weapon fire as well as Ion.
  6. If it has a crit rating then it can crit. They have a crit rating so they can crit. It's as easy as that.
  7. 1. +1 advantage to any lightsabre tests made with cunning, so using Shien style. Also you look silly. 2. I guess you could fluff a sabrepike as having a cross guard slightly upturned to the sides, which would make it look sort of like a trident. 3 advantages on a crafting check to make a pole lightsabre and you got it. 3. Up to the GM I guess. I guess I would probably allow it.
  8. Ranged weapons usually have quite a advantage over Melee. They will in most cases do more damage than melee, especially if using ranged heavy. If engaged they can move out to short so they're only firing against 1 purple in difficulty, melee always have at least 2 purple. Since there are no drawbacks to disengaging for the ranged fighters, they're pretty much always going to do so. If starting at Medium range then the melee character has to use both maneuvers to even get into melee range, eating 2 strain to do so. If not they're just stod at short range, eat a range attack and then the opponent moves out again to medium and they're stuck there. If they start at long range then they may very well spend two to three rounds just eating shots before they can start putting the hurt in.
  9. Unless they have changed the format in Allies and Adversaries it doesn't say which skill goes with which attribute. Might be handy to have a GM cheat sheet next to you, also helps for when your players get confused. Shooty stuff and piloty stuff is based on agility, punchy stuff is brawn. That's usually the important stuff for fighting, although a few talents can change things up.
  10. Gank and the Cyber tech class is pretty much the way to go there. It will cost a lot of credits, but that way you can get an insane amount of cybernetics and do some pretty funky stuff with it.
  11. They were built by and designed by the Geonosians, commanded by Nemoidians. Those would be the ones to target for revenge. The droids just did what they were ordered to and programmed after all, they had no agency or will in the matter so no reason to want vengence against them.
  12. Not sure I agree with you in that having a character who lost their parents to a B1 isn't tragic or traumatic. You're someone who had your life devastated by a droid built by the lowest bidder to fight the wars of some far off kleptocrat. You didn't even matter enough for them to put in a proper effort at it. What's worse is that everyone else sees your parents killers as a bad joke. B1's can be made into something terrifying. The CIS did do a upgraded version of them as well, the B2 battle droids don't really need anything extra to make them terrifying.
  13. Most Narrativists I have played with have been totally ok with death, some times even suggesting it themselves or seeking it out. If it's a fitting moment for the character and a nice event in the larger narrative, they don't really care all that much. The narrative is after all bigger than any one character.
  14. It holds no real world value. But it can hold value in the eyes of the players. It can show them that the GM likes another person better, because that person can apparently hit all the right emotional notes the GM likes, they hog all the limelight in social situations and planning situations and they overachive in bringing extra stuff to the games. Other people might want to but unlike the player constantly getting lavished with praise, they haven't known the GM for 15 years and played with him before during those 15 years, they didn't attend theater school and they don't have a job or family lives that allow them the amount of free time needed to plow into the game. They're doing the best they can but apparently that's not good enough. Blatant favoritism can get the people who are not being favored to decide to not bother any more. After all, it's not like they can compete, so why even bother?
  15. Both can be pretty **** Batman. The Aggressor one is more of standing there in full view, stare them down and say "I'm the god **** Batman!" and have them freeze in fear and fight with less efficiency since they're afraid of the person they're fighting. Sentry is more about having enemies just nope out of the fight because there is something in the shadows and they're not paid enough to deal with this terror. They're both pretty fun, but I kind of prefer Aggressor since I specced warrior from the start, and if you were to go Steel Hand Adept together with Aggressor then you have a pretty solid Batman. That doesn't give you impossible fall though, and that one is just great fun to have.
  16. Guerilla. They're not a bunch of herbivorous primates from earth.
  17. In my experience players devolve into the kill-and-loot mindset when they don't feel any attachments to the story or NPCs in the story. When there is more interesting things to do than just killing fools, then a lot of people prefer that. Of course some people are just really bad at role playing and has little to no interest in that aspect, they're just there for the killing and the looting.
  18. I'm quite fond of using "The dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some would consider to be ... unnatural." at opportune times, that one usually works quite well.
  19. It's clearly a slippery slope. But I really want that last cookie.
  20. It's not a +7 weapon. It's a 7 weapon. So the damage is always successes rolled on top of the 7. Brawn rating doesn't enter into it, that's just for the skill of hitting.
  21. Either the limb regrowth as the previous postrr said, or an extended shelf life. Most medicines go bad over time or need to be stored in certain conditions, having a form of Bacta that doesn't go bad would be quite valuable.
  22. Clearly the right option is a boat that's hovering above the water but traveling with a sail. Now that's the Star Wars way.
  23. The cultures and langues of France has changed a lot over the centuries since Clovis founding. It has also split up several times into various smaller kingdoms. Like the three Frances they had after Charlemagne.
  24. One of the Boba Fett comics has him and Jango chasing down a clone commando who went AWOL before the clone wars started, that guy did get together with a woman and have a child before he was chased down. Said cousin to Boba was then part of some later comics. They were pretty decent, but not really canon anymore. Add to that that we do see clones drinking, oogling ladies and generally getting rowdy while on leave at Coruscant and it does seem like the drive is still there alongside with some other social drives. So I would say clones can get kids and they do have the urge to get busy. No all of them will have a chance or feel it as hard as others, not all twins act the same way after all.
