    How Might This Fair?

The Raider should have Ordnance Experts. Vader is a one time use, and he'll probably freak your opponent out enough to where they'll target the Raider first. In my experience, small ships haven't been a good delivery system for the boarding cards. They get destroyed on approach. Also, you might get more use out of another Defender squadron rather than a Gozanti. It's more common for the Empire to only have 3 or fewer ships. The Rebels are the ones who want 4 or more.

    Sato MSU

Just playing around with Sato, and decided to use ships you don't see with him much anymore. Are Combat GR75 still a semi-viable option? Sato MSU Author: Admiral Attackbar Faction: Rebel Alliance Points: 399/400 Commander: Commander Sato Assault Objective: Opening Salvo Defense Objective: Capture the VIP Navigation Objective: Solar Corona Nebulon-B Support Refit (51 points) - Salvation ( 7 points) - Engine Techs ( 8 points) - Quad Battery Turrets ( 5 points) = 71 total ship cost MC30c Scout Frigate (69 points) - Foresight ( 8 points) - Major Derlin ( 7 points) - Ordnance Experts ( 4 points) - Reinforced Blast Doors ( 5 points) - Spinal Armament ( 9 points) - Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 5 points) = 107 total ship cost [ flagship ] CR90 Corvette A (44 points) - Commander Sato ( 32 points) - Jainas Light ( 2 points) = 78 total ship cost GR-75 Combat Retrofits (24 points) - Slicer Tools ( 7 points) = 31 total ship cost GR-75 Combat Retrofits (24 points) - Slicer Tools ( 7 points) = 31 total ship cost 1 Shara Bey ( 17 points) 1 Han Solo ( 26 points) 1 Tycho Celchu ( 16 points) 2 A-Wing Squadrons ( 22 points) = 81 total squadron cost
  3. The MC75 really want at least one of the weapon upgrade filled, and the MC30 needs Admonition. The CR90a should just be Jaina's Light with TRCs. You should drop the B wings for A wings. The B wings have nothing supporting them (AFFM, Fighter Cordination Team). Those 6 points you get from dropping the B wings could go to XI7s for the MC75. Also, a GR75 with Comms Net is much cheaper than the Raymus/Tantive IV combo. Consider dropping your X wings for a GR75 with CN, and use the extra points for more upgrades on the '75 ( Damage Control Officer?).

    Teach new player.

    Thanks all!!

    Teach new player.

I'm going to be teaching someone Armada tomarrow. It's been awhile since I've done this, and with the game having gone so far, I don't know where to start, namely, what ships/squadrons should I teach with? Any help is appreciated.

    Improve my Fleets!

The Liberty is the worst ship you can use with Ackbar. A Liberty's front arc can deal more damage than Ackbar can give to its side arc.

    Episode IX

This is fake. Picture has been around for years.

Rebel counter to SSD (not about Rebel Huge ships)

Right.... forgot about THAT. Sorry Sato, you're out of luck.
  9. Since it's unlikely the Rebels will get a match against the SSD, I've been thinking about how the Rebels will counter the SSD. Sato fleets that fish for APTs come to mind, but one stood out to me. Dual Ackbar Assault Cruisers (or dual super pickles). Aside from looking like an epic battle, if flown with Engine Techs, the MC80s could potentially double side arc the SSD. Although a fleet like this is vulnerable to squadron swarms, with minimal squadron cover, hopefully the MC80s could approach relatively unhindered and proceed to smash the SSD, yes, smash. IF a double side arc can be achieved by both ships, I don't think even an SSD can withstand 40+ dice. I'm likely not the first person to realize this, but I'm just putting it out there. What are your thoughts? Anyone come up with any fleets you think could successfully combat an SSD?
  10. Alright, I had some crazy Ackbar lists a couple days ago, but now back to a serious fleet. I've been struggling to make a fleet I like with the MC75 and Hammerheads. Name: MC75 Sheild Shredder Faction: Rebel Commander: General Dodonna Assault: Opening Salvo Defense: Capture the VIP Navigation: Solar Corona MC75 Armored Cruiser (104) • General Dodonna (20) • Lando Carissian (4) • Fire-Control Team (2) • Quad Laser Turrets (5) • Electronic Countermeasures (7) • Assault Concussion Missiles (7) • Heavy Ion Emplacements (9) • XX-9 Turbolasers (5) = 163 Points Hammerhead Torpedo Corvette (36) • Quad Laser Turrets (5) • Assault Proton Torpedoes (5) • Task Force Organa (1) = 47 Points Hammerhead Torpedo Corvette (36) • Quad Laser Turrets (5) • Assault Proton Torpedoes (5) • Task Force Organa (1) = 47 Points Hammerhead Torpedo Corvette (36) • Quad Laser Turrets (5) • Assault Proton Torpedoes (5) • Task Force Organa (1) = 47 Points GR-75 Medium Transports (18) • Comms Net (2) = 20 Points GR-75 Medium Transports (18) • Repair Crews (4) • Bright Hope (2) = 24 Points Squadrons: • Shara Bey (17) • 3 x A-wing Squadron (33) = 50 Points Total Points: 398 Should I dump the QLTs and get Tycho? I know the HHs only have one black in the front, so getting crits for APTs will be a little difficult (aside from Concentrates). I could put APTs on the MC75, but I wanted to try the HIE/ACM combo, with XX-9s if ACMs hit the hull, so I can activate Dodanna. The squadron complement speaks for itself. The reason for QLTs is to give my ships slightly better odds against squadrons, but I'm wondering if putting in Tycho wouldn't just be a better move. Thoughts?

    A Couple Ackbar Fleets

Just cause I have 3 Nebs. In reality, I probably will go with 5 Corvettes and Salvation. I'm just trying to find ways to use my Nebs. They don't hit the table much.
  12. I've been toying around with wild and crazy Ackbar lists. I came up with two that I'd actually fly. Name: Ackbar Super fleet Faction: Rebel Commander: Admiral Ackbar Assault: Opening Salvo Defense: Contested Outpost Navigation: Solar Corona Assault Frigate Mk2 B (72) • Admiral Ackbar (38) • Gunnery Team (7) • Electronic Countermeasures (7) • Dual Turbolaser Turrets (5) = 129 Points Assault Frigate Mk2 B (72) • Gunnery Team (7) • Electronic Countermeasures (7) • Dual Turbolaser Turrets (5) = 91 Points Assault Frigate Mk2 B (72) • Gunnery Team (7) • Electronic Countermeasures (7) • Dual Turbolaser Turrets (5) = 91 Points Assault Frigate Mk2 B (72) • Gunnery Team (7) • Electronic Countermeasures (7) = 86 Points Squadrons: = 0 Points Total Points: 397 Name: Ackbar Nebulons and CR90s Faction: Rebel Commander: Admiral Ackbar Assault: Opening Salvo Defense: Hyperspace Assault Navigation: Salvage Run CR90 Corvette A (44) • Admiral Ackbar (38) • Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7) • Jaina's Light (2) = 91 Points CR90 Corvette A (44) • Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7) = 51 Points CR90 Corvette A (44) • Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7) = 51 Points Nebulon-B Support Refit (51) • Dual Turbolaser Turrets (5) = 56 Points Nebulon-B Support Refit (51) • Dual Turbolaser Turrets (5) = 56 Points Nebulon-B Support Refit (51) • Dual Turbolaser Turrets (5) = 56 Points Squadrons: • Shara Bey (17) • Tycho Celchu (16) = 33 Points Total Points: 394 I think the AFII fleet would just surprise people. 4 Assualt frigates with Ackbar and GT could do A LOT of damage.

    Anti-Squadron Hammerheads

I did move away, but I'm still keeping an AA-HH to test. I've never tried it before.
