I recently moved to Homestead Florida and been unable to find an Armada community.  Anyone know of groups/game stores that have regular Armada games nearby?

They normally do the article with the in depth preview of the ship or ships a month or two in advance of the release....

The point of a core set is to introduce new players to the game, not to allow your fan base an easy way to stock up on the most iconic ships in the game, or undercut sales for what should be the highest selling expansions. 

A Venator and two Munificents (or muni and recusant light) would grab the attention of clone war fans.  A wave one with Venators plus another ship (like they did with VSD and Glad) and the Venator would have more titles and another commander.  So players would have to buy the core (some who love Venators will buy two or three.. I know I will) and then the Venator expansion for the other titles.

 

By the way I started this game cause I saw the core set and was like ohh that Victory is BA looking and bought it not even knowing what Armada was... then found out more and now I am addicted.  So there is incentive to a very attractive core set.  I can see an acclamator vs 2 small seps (maybe hardcell and something else) but thatd be less appealing.

Personally, I mostly ignore Standard-sized promo cards, I get rid of them instead. I already have tournament-ready lists that take up nearly the entirety of the 182cm wide table with American Mini cards. Now imagine that with standard-sized... absolute mess. And that's for 400p play, for non-standard play it'll be absurd.

Armada doesn't need Standard-sized upgrade cards. Can't think of any card that has too much text on it. And what about previous cards? Will we have to mix Mini and Standard cards? Or will Mini cards become "non-canon"? Are we getting Armada 2.0? Because if we do, I will flip and leave.

Exactly the reason I quit x-wing... wasnt going to waste money "converting" ships i already had everything for into tourney legal ship.

Armada fleets easily can cover a lot of space with the mini upgrades... standard size will be a cluster and all online is garbage in my opinion... I want the physical cards there.
