Ok all, I'm going to pause play for the moment with the news about the servers closing. I'm going to set up a new channel on Discord and try to copy the ic thread the the relevant ooc stuff onto there. Gameplay, rates of post etc will continue as normal once it is set up, but it's probably going to take me a little bit to set up and copy everything across. In the mean time you can make your final decision on what to do with the trackers while I sort this.

Following a brief panic, I’ve come to the strange realization that... I’m kinda done with Star Wars- for now at least. I still think it’s unconscionable that this resource is going to just disappear, but I don’t really need it anymore.
In 1977, I was a five year old boy, and the original Star Wars trilogy played a huge role in my childhood. In 2015, I had a five year old son of my own, to experience The Force Awakens with, and revisit the other offerings of the franchise. I picked up an FFG beginner set, and started role playing with him, while he played with his action figures. This forum helped me tremendously in learning the system.
Most recently, my son has taken an interest in Dungeons & Dragons, a game I haven’t played since 2nd edition. I tried to turn him to Genesys, because I love the narrative dice, but he is too interested in the lore. He is ten now, and I have never seen him so interested in reading, as he is with these game books. Familiarizing myself with the phb and dmg, 5e surprisingly seems pretty decent.
The truth is, TLJ and RoS kind of flopped with us. Watchable, certainly, but we have not watched and rewatched them the way we have the other movies. The Disney Plus shows are something to look forward to, but I think we’re finished with childhood movies and action figures.
I suppose it will be hex grids and miniatures for us, for the foreseeable future, so it looks like I will be revisiting another franchise from my youth. I have a new set of rules to learn, so my gaming time will be better spent elsewhere.
As for these PBPs I’m running here, I do not want to just abruptly quit, but the end is in sight. We will be building to a climax in these next five weeks, and drawing to a conclusion, which should coincide (more or less) with the last days of this forum. I understand that knowing the game is ending might effect engagement, but I hope you will all stick with it to the end.
Thank you all for playing with me, and may the force be with you.

@pyciloo, that is correct, yes. The rule system is from the 'phalanx' section of the clone wars splat books. I've gone back to check the book (I'm afraid the rules are still fairly new to me), and I've realised that I have made a mistake regarding the overwhelmed rules. When overwhelmed the horde can make an additional attack against each overwhelmed character alongside their regular move. I'll sort the additional attacks after I finish the discord server stuff.
If you guys can destroy the set of 5 (which you're very close to), you will no longer be overwhelmed, if you can defeat double their number before their turn you can drive them back 1 range band.
In terms of the platform, it was just about managing with six, it's not really designed for that many.

You are still staggered but you've got your manoeuvre if you want to do anything.

Despite Sluggers best attempts to cut down the statues, two more land on the ground for every one that is killed. They continue to jerk forwards with their weapons extended outwards. Approaching from every direction, the squad soon finds themselves circled by the enemy. This time the statues attack the heavy gunner as he mows down their fellows. Lunging out with their stone blades Slugger finds himself stabbed and beaten with the chipped and blunted weapons, the sheer force of the blows being enough to cause damage. The strikes take great chunks out of his armour as the trooper comes under attack from every direction. One of the blades is thrust forwards and jams in the mechanism of the rotary cannon. The spinning is quick to shatter the stone, but not before Martha lets out an awful squeal as strain is put on the system.  Just as he is able to shove the statue back, Slugger feels a spear ram him in the gut, knocking the wind out of him.

@P-47 Thunderbolt, I was referring to the jedi moving back to the platform from where they were.
@Shlambate, being overwhelmed is less to do with damage and more to do with the horde being at engaged range with you guys. Unfortunately you're the only one to really damage the statues this round, so they did not lose the five needed to halt their manoeuvre this round. The tunnel horde is to represent the statues in the shaft that the lift passes through, they have currently not followed you guys down, so you targeted the group at slot 7.

Unfortunately it is not enough to stop them from advancing onto the party.
As a point for everyone, with the statues at engaged range with the party this means that the party has been 'overwhelmed' by the numbers. This means that the statues to get two attacks on their turn. Now you have all been able to fall back towards the platform, but remember that it was only designed to carry six people. You can try to add more, but the crane may not be able to take the weight, and it will be very crowded in terms of fighting the statues in the shaft. You also still have the figure to take into account.
Sorry to bully you @Shlambate, the statues do not seem to like you at all!
@Xcapobl, you're up! Statues are currently at engaged range, and although most of the others cannot see the figure, you @pyciloo and @P-47 Thunderbolt can see them moving into short range of the party.

As Vinteer begins to fall back towards the rest of the squad, the haggard figures faces twists in a lurid smile. The skin cracks and splits as more of the viscous green slime drips from their face, and they begin to walk towards the padawan. "You cannot escape from this place, no one leaves the heart". As she talks, the image of the figure flickers and fades, the jedi recognising the power of illusion used before.

As the jedi work and commune over the next few days, they receive the first chance to relax and recuperate since the attack on Fornost. Since then it had been political intrigue, backstabbing and assassination. Despite the stakes of their destination, it was easy to forget about such things when trapped in hyperspace,
Eventually, all things must come to an end though. Silun receives an alarm from the console in the cockpit, and moments later the ship smoothly slips out of hyperspace. Once more they are surrounded by the deep blue of space and the glimmer of stars in the far off distance. From here you can almost make out the other planets of the Queli sector, according to the navigation computer these were Queli itself, Dathomir and Halmad.
The planet directly ahead however was their target, Cathar. The planet was grey-green in colour, no ship traffic to or from that the jedi could see. Even before they arrived, they knew it was a dead world. Revan had revealed during the mandalorian war the the republic had covered up the near total extinction of the native species. At the hands of the madnalorians they had been butchered, the planet and cities bombed from orbit. The scale of death and destruction was almost impossible to compare to.

You will have decided about the trackers before arriving, it was just that I missed the roll for the check so it's coming in late. To save time you can do both simultaneous if you want.
