  1. @rocketrobie2, that is correct, so your check would be 2 success, 2 advantage. Unfortunately the rubble you throw passes right through the visage. You can narrate that as you wish. @pyciloo, some are carrying stone shields, you can see that as they try to jump for the platform. However as they are currently at short range they are out of reach unless they reach the platform or you jump for the tunnel wall. You still have your action if you want to shoot, and who do you want to provide your assist to?
  2. Pit Combat: @Edgehawk 5s1a @Jedi Ronin 4s4a @rocketrobie2 3s3a @pyciloo Unknown Being: soak-, -/- wounds, -/- strain adversary 3 1s3a1t @Shlambate Statue Horde: soak 3, 6/25 wounds, 2/5 men 1s @Xcapobl Statue Tunnel Horde: soak 3, 6/25 wounds, 4/5 men 1a @P-47 Thunderbolt 0s @Jedi Ronin, no problem. If you want to use the third force dice you can do so at the cost of 1 additional strain and conflict. That does increase you damage so it's probably a good trade. @rocketrobie2, as there is no way of knowing if you are targeting the real figure, I'm going to put this up to fate for you. If I can get you to roll a D6 (there's six of the figure) and you hit a six, it's the actual being. To explain the force powers, to activate any power requires x amount of force points. This is the pips listed next to the power. So yeah, you are able to activate force move to do the attack for 5 damage. However if for example you wanted to increase the size of the object, then you would also need to activate the force pips next to that upgrade by spending the ones you have on the dice. This means that you until you get more dice you won't be able to do everything you want to with your powers regarding the upgrades etc. In the mean time after @rocketrobie2 is done, it will be @pyciloo's turn! So you are still at short range from the ground and so are unable to really see the targets on the ground, but still have the statues in short range (2 setback for the dark) along the shafts wall if you want to stop them trying to jump onto the platform.
  3. @rocketrobie2, you can move to attack one of the silhouettes at short range, but you would only be short range away from the statues, putting you at risk of attack but not being overrun. Bare in mind though that you do not know which of the silhouettes is the real one. They seem to have no discernible differences, and are mimicking each others actions with only slight variations to their movements.
  4. Den glances up at Hale from where he had been distracted with a smudge on his disruptor, or at least that was the impression he'd tried to give. "Hm? Oh nothing, Boss. It's just this ain't my usual kind of gig. I'm more of an open battlefield kinda guy, dark corridors coated in blood I didn't cause, bit creepy for rebels is all". As the door opens Den is ready to open fire with his rifle raised, but half lowers it when this unnatural truce is announced. The sight of the surgery continue to put the stormtrooper on edge, and he fidgets uneasily as he glances between the rebels and the inquisitor. "Can you not shut him up?" he calls out, "what are you doing to him?"
  5. Sorry for the delay Den got the memo, he just, erm, 'lost' it.
  6. @Bellona, there's no identifying features that you can see on the trackers in terms of republic symbols etc, and reverse engineering them will be tricky. A daunting check will reveal something about it's source, but I am going to flip a dp for it.
  7. As the chaos quickly consumes the sinister cavern, the last remaining jedi knight sees Vinteer rapidly being overrun by the seemingly endless enemies. Rather than rushing foolheartedly into the battle, Caieous centres himself as he reaches out with the force. Instead of calm and focus however, he only finds the swirling dark of this evil place. The face of his dead friend haunts him, and Caieous feels the cold creeping up his spine. Just this once he accepts the powers of the darkside, and with a battle cry tears the top off of the plinth with the power of the force. The table top rapidly spins in place before being released by the jedi, hurtling fowards towards Vinteer. Just as the padawan is able to push one of the statues back he witnesses two statues torn in half by the impact with the plinth. A second statue is left missing an arm and most of its torso, but it does not seem to notice the damage. Still, it gives the padawan a chance to fight back or retreat.
  8. Pit Combat: @Edgehawk 5s1a @Jedi Ronin 4s4a @rocketrobie2 3s3a @pyciloo Unknown Being: soak-, -/- wounds, -/- strain adversary 3 1s3a1t @Shlambate Statue Horde: soak 3, 16/25 wounds, 4/5 men 1s @Xcapobl Statue Tunnel Horde: soak 3, 17/25 wounds, 4/5 men 1a @P-47 Thunderbolt 0s @Jedi Ronin, to keep things moving I am going to assume that you would want to try and help @rocketrobie2 out of their jam, so I will sort that in the ic. @rocketrobie2, you're up!
  9. Pit Combat: @Edgehawk 5s1a @Jedi Ronin 4s4a @rocketrobie2 3s3a @pyciloo Unknown Being: soak-, -/- wounds, -/- strain adversary 3 1s3a1t @Shlambate Statue Horde: soak 3, 25/25 wounds, 5/5 men 1s @Xcapobl Statue Tunnel Horde: soak 3, 17/25 wounds, 4/5 men 1a @P-47 Thunderbolt 0s Ok, @Edgehawk almost gets 2 of the enemies, and @Jedi Ronin you are up! You can definitely hear the gunfire from above, and with the lightsaber see the bottom of the platform. The horde you are fighting is at short range surrounding Vinteer, the silhouettes of the figure spread out over medium range.
  10. Den lets out a low whistle as he sees the sheer amount of blood and and hears the screaming. "This can't be one person surely, can it?" He sounded a little more on edge than he had before, the screaming was setting his teeth on edge. The duros never really liked the medi-centres of the empire, and this place was a whole lot creepier than those. "Sounds like if we wait long enough we won't have to clear the room, they'll be dead before we get there" he mutters to himself.
  11. Is there a check that Den can do to see if this seems like an amount of blood from one person or several?
  12. Pit Combat: @Edgehawk 5s1a @Jedi Ronin 4s4a @rocketrobie2 3s3a @pyciloo Unknown Being: soak-, -/- wounds, -/- strain adversary 3 1s3a1t @Shlambate Statue Horde: soak 3, 25/25 wounds, 5/5 men 1s @Xcapobl Statue Horde: soak 3, 25/25 wounds, 5/5 men 1a @P-47 Thunderbolt 0s @Shlambate, the advantage will definitely hold the statues back, which is a good move because they were about to start jumping on the platform till you did that 😛 I'll say you can also recover 1 strain. Feel free to have that for your ic thread. So this takes us to a new round, so the hordes wounds reset as new statues take the place of the old. I have added a second set in the initiative to represent the statues in the shaft attacking the elevator. The platform moves a further 2 range bands down, and you guys can just make out a blue glow that illuminates the ground. The floor of the cavern is at short range of you guys so you will get there next turn. To put things in perspective for you guys, the platform takes 3 turns to move from top to bottom, so bare that in mind when planning next. You could try and stuff more people on the platform, but there is a big risk of the platforms stability and cable strength etc. Combat initiative is back up to regular, so @Edgehawk, you're up! The enemy is still at short range of you, 2 setback still is in place for the dark.
  13. The deafening echo of gunfire fills the shaft, half deafening the clone troopers as Slugger holds back the statues as they try to manoeuvre to land atop of the platform. Each bolt from the rotary cannon illuminates the endless swarm of statues that line the alcoves of the strange structure surrounding them. They had faced droids in the simulator, seen recordings of the battle of Geonosis, but never faced such a quantity of foes. Imagining what the separatists could martial from their factories compared to this, suddenly the situation of the war was all too real. The gunfire from the clones can be heard in the main cavern as well, alerting the jedi to the sound of their incoming rescue. Looking up with the light of their lightsaber, Caieous could see the rickety platform slowly approaching. The ragged figure senses the approach as well, glancing up with a guttural snarl. "They can't save you jedi, you will all be fed upon!"
  14. @Mikeyfett7, I'm tempted to say you find a tracker but don't know what it is, but that feels mean 😛 I think I'll say you find one under the engine room floor, but it takes you a couple of days. @Bellona, you find one attached to the astrogating computer, most likely recording your route, and one in a crate in your supplies. Ok! You guys are free to use this time to rp and get to know each other. I'll give it a few days and when you guys are about right I will write up the arrival at Cathar! You're free to do whatever you want, practicing the force, meditating, sparring or just talking, that's up to you guys
  15. The handler sighs as he listens to Zoroku, shaking his head half a fraction. "Agent Splint, due to your time away and your, personal connection to the old administration, well, the department is concerned about your loyalties. Having said that I understand your point, so I will say this. Admiral Karath has been identified as a key asset to the subjugation of the republic, it is imperative he does not fall into republic custody. If you ensure he is not captured, I will be able to provide information on the upcoming assaults on out rim planets to help your garner the trust of the admiralty. Karath must be able to evacuate from Cathar once his work is complete. Failure to see to this will be looked upon poorly" With that, the handler reaches for a console, and the transmission is ended. Zoroku is left in a hard position. The jedi want Karath caught to clear their name with the senate, the empire want him free to prove Zoroku's loyalty, this will require precision manoeuvring.
  16. @Edgehawk, I think for that to be effective you need to know of the existence of a person or item, rather than it be hypothetical. @Shlambate, I'll give you a boost for the logic, that's fair. @Mikeyfett7, sure, go for it.
  17. I believe that @Edgehawk, @Xcapobl and @pyciloo were the ones to fix the crane, leaving @P-47 Thunderbolt and @Shlambate to fight this round. In terms of enemies you are basically seeing the horde from a different side, so you can attack one of the semi-regenerating squads as well if you want. Killing the equivalent of 5 will help keep them from advancing on you as you guys descend.
  18. @Bellona, sure. I'll say as you guys currently don't have crafting parts this will act as a temporary item (battery burns out, falls apart after etc). You can build a full time general purpose scanner later if you want when you guys stock up on parts etc. I'll say a hard mechanics with a boost will build a scanner, and then an average computers check will sort the scanning. @Shlambate, I'll need a formidable (5 purple) negotiations check to see what information you get out of this.
  19. @P-47 Thunderbolt, for 2 advantage it will only be for 1 person unfortunately. @Shlambate, for the remainder of this round those who haven't taken an action can still act in whatever order they want. Next round of combat it will return to normal.
  20. As Zoroku speaks, the nameless handler frowns a little. "I understand your expertise in naval maters Agent Splint, but last we spoke you were given new orders. The empire has declared the jedi to be a credible threat to them, and in turn to the Ascendancy. Unless your integrating into the republic navy will help identify a weakness in the jedi order, then you are deviating from your mission objective". The officer pauses and takes a breath before continuing. "I understand that your father gave the command to infiltrate the navy, but he is no longer running this operation. The Emperor claims to have sent two agents to the republic with the capability of felling the republic, but the jedi are still a concern to us. I am authorised to provide information that will help you in your objective, but nothing more".
  21. @Bellona, to search the full ship you're looking at a daunting perception. With the size of the ship it'd be tricky to find anything small. If anyone wants to they can help you with an assist. You are all welcome to use the ic thread for getting to know each other.
  22. That's pretty much it yeah, with how brutal the Sep's can be, it just made sense to add the gravity ot those situations. @P-47 Thunderbolt the post for what you spot is up, you can alert the others to what you see if you want, and those who haven't taken their action can attack if they want. The enemy is at short range but all combat checks will have 2 setback due to the dark. If you want you can pass a boost to an ally or remove 1 of the setback from this turn. The crane will lower you guys 2 range bands a round, just to let you guys know, and currently you cannot see the bottom so you must be going a fair distance down.
  23. As they continue to descend surrounded by the dry clicking and cracking, Driz begins to realise his bad feeling was earnt, though perhaps for different reasons. As his eyes adjust he begins to see shifting in the dark, shapes that flit by as if something was falling past them at an incredible rate. Here and there it looks for a moment like something is scuttling along the wall of the bore hole before being lost again. By chance there is a slight burst of green light from somewhere below, and it is enough to give Driz a snapshot of what they are descending through. He sees that this is more than just a bore hole or mining shaft, the walls are lines with row upon row of arches. Similar to the ones that they had been trapped in but extending far further back, capable of holding who know how many people. Some were empty but most were inhabited by worn and eroded statues holding all manners of archaic weapons. What the issue is, is that these statues seem to be moving on their own accord. Lit by a faint green light that shines through the cracks in their bodies, the statues are crawling down the arches to try and drop down further with sharp and unnatural moves. Some slip and are lost from view, others hop and jump down the wall, some even clambering over their fellows to continue their descent. As the clones continue to drop down, the faceless plates of the statues begin to turn towards the clones, whatever these things are, they've spotted the squad.
  24. Den shuffles towards the other side of the door, his disruptor pointed at the lock as he takes a few moments to centre himself. Glancing up at the soldier on the other side of the door he declares "Police, open up!" before following it with a dark chuckle. Den reckons he'd have made an excellent police officer, maybe on Corellia, if not for the brutality.
