@rocketrobie2, using enhance you can gain two success, taking you to three success vs four failure. However with @Jedi Ronin's battle meditation you do gain an additional 2 success, making you check a net of one success. This means you are able to break free and still have your manoeuvre. @Edgehawk, @Shlambate, @Xcapobl, @pyciloo and @P-47 Thunderbolt don't forget you get the same benefits from @Jedi Ronin.

Den grunts something unintelligible under his breath as the inquisitor shuts down his concerns, but keeps his thoughts to himself for the time being. He goes to try and remove his boot, but decides against it. He's learnt from experience that if you see an injury, it makes it ten times worse, at least it feels that way. Looking away from his foot as he lets the doctor work, he talks in a hushed voice. "It's people like me who wind up dead first in these horror vids. Grunt, check, alien, check, the one already bit, check. Look, I've got a trauma kit in my pack, but if you can I'd like to keep the foot, I don't buy into the whole bionics thing". As the rebels talk he raves his pistol in their direction from where he's slumped. "Just keep that doctor away from me or I'll show them my version of surgery! At best they're terrorists and at worst they're gonna have eggs bursting out of their chests later in the day. I've seen the vids, I know how this goes" Talking again to Evon again in a hushed voice he continues. "They probably made those things in a lab or something, it'd just be like rebels to try and weaponize something like this. You be best to keep an eye on that one. Just say the word and I'll 'watch' them trip down the elevator shaft".

@Rimsen, he will begrudgingly accept help (his pride is more wounded than his body), but if the rebel doctor comes near he will not be accepting help, he's still convinced they're behind all this

@Bellona, sorry, I missed your check there. Two of the trackers (the ones you find) both have republic markers on the circuit boards, probably from manufacturing. The Third one you can't identify, but with the advantage it looks home made, and honestly probably doesn't have great range in comparison. In terms of your arrival you have arrived at the edge of the system. I currently can't get my map open (I think the site is down), but I think Cathar is close to the edge of the system. Regardless I'm happy to say that you guys arrive being able to see it in the far off distance, perception/travel etc in star wars is never 100% accurate. Having arrived at the system edge, what do you guys want to do@

Drawing his pistil he fires most of the battery into the twitching corpse of the monster before throwing the weapon down at his side. Looking up at the inquisitor, Den calls out as he tears his helmet off. "I used to hunt rodents on the Duros stations, you need fire, big stinking flamers that can get into the nooks and crannies of this cursed place. Sir, why are we keeping these rebels alive anyway? It's their fault, this whole mess! They could be trying to play us!" It seems that the troopers decorum had slipped more than a little with his current injuries.

As the jedi work and commune over the next few days, they receive the first chance to relax and recuperate since the attack on Fornost. Since then it had been political intrigue, backstabbing and assassination. Despite the stakes of their destination, it was easy to forget about such things when trapped in hyperspace, Eventually, all things must come to an end though. Silun receives an alarm from the console in the cockpit, and moments later the ship smoothly slips out of hyperspace. Once more they are surrounded by the deep blue of space and the glimmer of stars in the far off distance. From here you can almost make out the other planets of the Queli sector, according to the navigation computer these were Queli itself, Dathomir and Halmad. The planet directly ahead however was their target, Cathar. The planet was grey-green in colour, no ship traffic to or from that the jedi could see. Even before they arrived, they knew it was a dead world. Revan had revealed during the mandalorian war the the republic had covered up the near total extinction of the native species. At the hands of the madnalorians they had been butchered, the planet and cities bombed from orbit. The scale of death and destruction was almost impossible to compare to.

Ok! That brings us back to the top of the initiative, and you guys are finally regrouped (or gathered for the first time)! The statues in the cave are at short range of the party. @Jedi Ronin the platform has landed at engaged range of you being as it came down the centre of the shaft. At this point, I am going to need @Edgehawk, @pyciloo, @Shlambate, @Xcapobl and @P-47 Thunderbolt to make a fear check having come face to face with witch attacking your jedi. I will sort the results after. @Edgehawk, you're up! The statues in the cave are at short range, as is @rocketrobie2. The witch character is visible to you and at medium range, and the statues in the tunnel are currently out of sight as they were driven back.

The gunfire batters into the stone bodies of the statues with real ferocity as the clone squad make their steady descent down the darkened shaft. Despite the unnatural nature of the enemy; and their sheer endless numbers, the squad is able to drive the statues back into the holes that they had emerged from. It would seem in this case modern firepower outdoes ancient magics. Eventually the platform breaches the shaft that they had descended, and they suddenly find themselves within the huge cave that the jedi had been trapped. Just below them they can see one of the jedi with their lightsaber drawn, a smaller one not far away. However the situation is far grimmer that first imagined. The numbers of the statues is even greater than they had first seen, and commanding them was a truly ghastly visage of a corpse, wrapped in ragged red robes. Strips of skin hang from its bones, dripping with a sickly green ichor. Nothing in their training on Kamino could have prepared them for this. Extending from its fingers is crackling green energy that has engulfed the smaller jedi in bonds and that smoke and burn at their robes. Caieous has to jump to one side to avoid the platform as it hits the ground with a jarring thud. Though the clones had learnt how to operate the crane, speed control seems to be a little lacking. Still, they were down and safe, relatively speaking. The figure watches the clones with a disgusted snort. "More husks, no magics between them. Your filth will not desecrate this place!" As she speaks the statues slowly begin to surge towards the clones from every direction, determined not to let them escape.

Well his got his pistol, the butt of the rifle, **** he has his boot if needed. If it's not moving he'd like to just blast it with the pistol a bunch of times. He's watched a lot of horror holo-vids and he knows not to make the stupid mistakes 😛

Unless anyone tries to physically stop him, can Den go and just disintegrate this crab thing?

As chunks of statue rain down on the jedi from on high, the attackers are slowly driven back by the onslaught of gunfire. Deeper in the passages behind the alcoves numerous more of the strange rocky forms can be seen, but they are certainly slowed by the attack. As Vinteer makes their attack, the illusion of the figure flickers from the shards of rock that fire through the ragged body. The visage lets out a piercing laugh, clearly amused by the jedi's failing. "Your quaint magics are barley a fraction of what you need to stop me!" As the woman shouts, the illusions blur and rush together, forming into one in front of the jedi. Raising her wizened hands, there is a scream of energy as brilliant green lightning burst force from the witches fingers and engulfs the young padawan. For a moment he is lost from view for Caieous till their eyes adjust to the blinding light. When they do, the knight can see Vinteer bound in a net of green energy, binding him to the witch. The figure turns to leer at Caieous as they speak in their gargled voice. "I will take this one to be fed upon, just as your friend was". While immobilised by the strange power, once again the statues lumber towards the padawan, weapons raised at unnatural angles. Despite being bound by the burning energy, Vinteer is able to hold off the more damaged statues, dodging and using his feet to keep them at bay.

Den had not screamed since his first year of the stormtrooper academy, so he probably would have been dismayed with the ear piercing shriek he emits when the creature lends on his helmet. Flailing wildly with his fists he tries to bash the creature to death. "No no no! Absolutely not!" he roars, shuddering as he looks up at the horrible little beast reaches the ceiling. At the shout from the doctor Den turns to shout at them, still in the shrill tone he seems to have developed. "Stop it? Stop it? Oh what a wonderful idea! I can see how you earnt your doctorate, here I was thinking we could keep it as a pet!" He's still shouting obscenities at the doctor when the grenade goes off, but it is enough to make him focus on the creature. As he feels the burning coursing down from his neck he slaps a hand to the point before pulling it away to see if there was any blood. "Oh, and now I seem to be getting eaten from the inside, wonderful!" The trooper is practically trembling with adrenaline and fury and fear. Raising his rifle, Den snaps at Evon "don't touch me! Nothing touches me again after that!" Shoving his way past the other troopers Den fires three shots from the disruptor, his aim still true. "Stupid flesh eating, acid spitting crab spider!"
