Yeah 1275 no last minute bids. Extatic didn’t think I’d get more than 600. Mostly going towards what I had already saved to treat my fiancée and her daughter to disneyworld.

Really glad I didn’t take this advice when I had offers, up to 1275 on bids now with 2 and half days left haha

Yep I don’t get it either but if they have the expendable income to buy it I’m happy to let it go haha. It’s went from 200 to 568 since yesterday morning, still has a little over 4 days left on the auction super excited to see what those last minute bids bring in. Then I’ll have plenty to go hunt for a fun replacement deck.

Ha! I was talking about Ebay craziness with a coworker this morning, and I was telling him the basics about Keyforge and how some of the card combos cause the deck to sell for crazy amounts. Then I went onto ebay and searched "keyforge double horsemen" and showed him the first example I found. I thought the name looked familiar and it wasn't until I came back to this thread just now that I realized I had found your deck. It does look like a fun deck. Not $500+ fun but that's just me.
I can't believe people would spend that much for a deck, but kudos for being able to make some money. Who wants to be the person showing up at a keyforge tourney saying "I spent $500 on this deck." I guess if that's what you want to do and you're not trading equity on your mortgage to do it then by all means enjoy. You best win that tourney though, or I may have to do some friendly ribbing.

Yeah. Did ok in sealed but that’s largely do to randomness.
And yeah I don’t get collecting decks that don’t perform either but hey if it makes someone else happy I’ll gladly sell it to them haha. Offers where decent. Held out for bidding and currently it’s at $507 with 5 days left

I agree it’s just the presence of two sets that make it valuable do to how rare that is

Cleansing wave + reaping made 21 in a single turn so that’s really all it takes. Once you start getting the horsemen out your board presence is tough to control because with three witches of the eye, world tree, and hysteria getting death back in your hand is laughably easy and once he’s back you get all your other horsemen back in play. So it starts slow but once it builds momentum it’s hard to control. Would have been nice to have more generation like getting rid of dis for say logos but fun none the less if far from perfect
Anywho got offers for 800 so far and climbing so doesn’t really matter lol

Yeah not a lot but establishes a very strong board presence that’s hard to get rid of thanks to the witches and world tree even if both deaths are gone. That cleansing wave can do some serious work to with pestilance. More selling it because of how rare it is not so much for how competative.

Got a deck in sealed tonight with two copies of every horsemen, deck name “Madam Bonemaster Rosen”.
Considering selling it on eBay, not sure what the value was but was told some insane things about other decks with this combo that sold online. Thoughts?
Edit: Screw it, posting it. Saw one went for over a grand worst case it gets no bids and I enjoy having something insanely rare.

Testing a deck, only while it's winning, isn't testing a deck. You're not going to know what a deck is really capable of until you do get those bad draws, or your opponent has a really good turn and you need to respond. If you start 20 games, but only finish 5 of them because they were the ones that were going well, you don't know your deck.
I don't play online. I don't know if there's the capability to chat with your opponent. But if there is, if I've got two keys to their 0 and my opponent was like, "Hey man, thanks for the game, but I scoop," that's one thing. But if after two turns they just up and leave without a word... that's rude.

(Rage-)Quitting when you're having some bad luck will invalidate the test results since you're shifting the bias toward only "successful" results. Hence quitting is bad if you are intent on testing your decks.

On the topic of quitting I find that it's quite rude to just drop from a game. Remember that there are two players in the game and by abruptly quitting you are robbing them of their chance to properly test their decks if that's what they are there for. If not you are detracting from their experience.
Intentionally quitting is generally very frowned upon in online games and often enforce severe punishments for repeat offenders. And it should be that way. Being a sore loser is not an attitude we should promote.
Put it this way: You are playing a training match of soccer and your team is playing well and is winning. Would you accept the other team just leaving the playing field because they are not winning?

You should be fine, even with the dice.  In several interviews the devs joked that you could use dice if you just wanted to use them as tokens.  But you could not use them in in a way in which the facing mattered, to avoid conflict ig the die gets moved on claims of what the number should say.

But if you find yourself going to a premier event I might bring something else.  Just in case you get a serious rules lawyer Judge or marshal.

Technically, the tournament regs state "NOTE: The use of dice of any kind is not permitted in KeyForge Organized Play."
But it you want to delve into the spirit of the rule, the idea is that dice cannot be used to count things. So, no dice for damage, or amber, or shields, or power, stuff like that. But in a case like this, where the number is immaterial and you're just using it as a colored cube to represent a single thing, I'd call it ok. But that's only my opinion.

TwitchyBait reacted to saluk64007 in The Sting and forging keys
Your argument is the same argument as any argument for gaining aember when playing against a steal deck. And "you'll have to call shadows at some point which puts you behind" - um... you'll probably be calling shadows again at some point. Maybe on a turn when you steal some of that aember back and are pretty sure you wont lose it again before the next forge.
The sting is nearly as good or as bad playing before the first key forged as any "gain 7" aember card would be. Unless you really don't want to call shadows again. But you may as well hold your good steal card, play the sting to get their forged aember, then call shadows to steal whatever you lost back and remove sting. But yeah. Really good if you pair it with making their key cost more.
It's true, sometimes gain 7 is bad.

TwitchyBait reacted to saluk64007 in One Stood Against Many with 0, 1, 2 enemy creatures in play
The effect doesn't stop happening if a fight doesn't happen - but you can only reap once. The sequence with zero enemies would be:
Ready; Can't fight; already ready; can't fight; already ready; can't fight. This leaves the creature ready when One Stood Against Many finishes resolving. Now you can reap.

TwitchyBait reacted to saluk64007 in Another take on the "do as much as you can" mechanic.
The key isn't the must or the numerical value. The key is that there is a "do as much as you can" component along with a conditional component. Conditional components require the full effect, and trubaru's lose 3 aember is a conditional.
From the rules glossary under "if you do":
"If an ability includes the phrase “if you do” or “in order to,” the player referenced by the ability must successfully and completely resolve the text that precedes that phrase before they can resolve or perform the text that follows that phrase. In other words, if the first part of the ability is not successfully and completely resolved, that which follows the phrase does not resolve or cannot be performed"
If you cannot lose the full 3 aember you cannot play trubaru, do as much as you can doesn't even enter in yet as you are not resolving an ability at all.
If you do/in order to is keyforge's cost mechanic.

TwitchyBait got a reaction from Brekekekiwi in Poltergeist vs Mobius Scroll
Poltergeist triggers first, it has two effects one that happens before the other (using, then destroying). Using the artifact means using that artifacts trigger ability. So the Morbius scroll archives itself and 2 cards from the active players hand into the active players archive since they are technically the controller ("use as if it where your own"). Now destruction would occur however cards can only effect other cards in play unless they explicitly play otherwise and since Morbius scroll is now in the active players archive it is not destroyed.

TwitchyBait got a reaction from Brekekekiwi in Multiple Phase Shift in a turn
This one I feel (unlike some of the others we had long multi page arguments over) could use a clarification. I can see both sides be it a singular card or multiple with multiple plays. The former because “a non logos card thus turn” could literally just mean a non logos card period but it could also just very easily be a way of letting you play one for each instance of the card without forcing you to do so immediately. Don’t have any real hard opinion on how this one should be resolved one way or the other.
The only way I see it playing out with multiple cards is:
-Play Phase shift, the effect is in play
-Complete the effect by playing a non logos card
-Play 2nd phase shift, the effect is in play again until resolved with another non-logos card

granted if someone played a second phase shift without playing a card in between it would seem one out of house card would satisfy both effects.
Granted even if this was the way it worked it hardly would be that insanely powerful as you’d not only need multiple copies of phase shift in your hand but you’d also need multiple copies of other house cards that you actually wanted to play as well and without archieving or getting some absurd hand size you’ll get at most what 2-3 non house cards if your lucky?
Dont know, anyone have the contact link to get an official ruling?
