  1. What's the strategy for playing  generic Phantoms? I always feel bad about cloaking because can't attack... But then if I decloak they just die! Do you use it everytime you don't have a shot just to reposition/arc-dodge?


  2. I'm still on the train that you can't afford the third ship to be some kited out PS11 guy with missiles. If you want proper builds on your main Aces you'l have to settle for someone a bit . cheaper. Whether it's PL, Duchess, a TIE Aggressor or whatever! You may let Dengar attack once, but now you have a lategame with EU on Vader and FCS/LWF on Quickdraw.

He is half Wookie, half Emo, half Boba Fetts little sister

    Pilot ability: When you reveal your maneuver dial, you may steal the focus token of an enemy ship in range 1-3 and give it to a friendly ship in range 1-2.

    Scum fighters don't have 3-turns, doe.

    No, I've unfortunately never been on stream with this squad. Only taken it to two events so far; winning one. At that store champ only two ships got walked off. It's a nice strategy to try for, but difficult to pursue consistently against a clever opponent. Managed to table every opponent except two, though. It's perfectly doable.

  6. Imperial has never really been a bad faction in the past. Palp Aces, Palp Defenders, Swarms, Phantoms, etc. A lot of the ships had their time in the sun! Even Vader before Inq was pretty solid.

    Only the Punisher has been totally useless Imp ship since release. Bomber has never been "good" but it can do some stuff and they got some love last year at least... Not enough, but it'll do for a while.

    The Aggressor, however, I think will be the second most under-performing Imp ship, just behind the Punisher.

    Okay, so I couldn't stop flying them until the TIE striker emerged. I want to fly low-PS TIE interceptors, but TIE strikers are more fun and more competitive. I feel kind of like a traitor to my avatar.

    Throwing the rule out there as a major nerf to large ships sure did succeed in driving many of them from the tournament stage.  I've also thought it was pretty biased when a hull or shield upgrade would count toward that half but other things that provide additional defense are completely ignored.  If you want to bring that mess to small bases as well then it should apply to all ships or are you telling me that a "9 hitpoint ship" that has 1 or 0 agility is really that much harder to kill than a 6 hitpoint ship that has 3 agility and often has an Evade token as well?

    Never been  a fan of the half point rule.

     

    Well, I guess Agility is totally irrelevant in the Nym meta. Only Health can save you!

    Yeah. I was having fun seeing the silly combos... Now it's just whining T_T

    In topic: Talonbane Cobra on literally any other ship except HWK. Starviper would be sweet.
