  1. A lot of people here are on the whole moustache twirling style of sith. And sure that's an option. But there's also a more subtle way. Example. Me (playing a DS character) and my group (which had 2 paragons) were tasked to find a imperial defector and get him safely to the rebels. And we did. I helped all the way. Then at the end I gave his safe house location to the local stormtroopers for credits and that entire rebel cell was destroyed. There can be common ground between a mixed group. Your players just have to be less murderhobo and get inventive.

I'm just gonna roll randomly on one of the known spices for now but in future you can describe what the effects are before hand

    from the old PBP

Dashtha turned and pulled a datapad from a table. Tapping through she repeated the information verbatim while her eyes flicked between the small screen and the duros.

"Ehmmm, samples 34c were administerd to our most recent....... volunteers......... the humans among them developed skin lesinos within 16 minutes and respiratory functions were impaired in 27. 4 of 6 succumbed to the effects. After effects are still being observed. The twi'lek produced no visible symptoms but also encountered failing respiratory function after 27 minutes. Timing of the symptom being within a few seconds within separate species interesting - investigate further. 2 of the 3 succumbed to their symptoms. The Zabrak developed........"

silver lining the weaselly bastard is now a guinea pig, what are the benefits you where looking to create with this batch (i'll then have you roll to see how how many are present and what side effects there may be)

@Stormbourne keep OOC and IC separate, please.

The goal of all Dashthas spice research is to make a commercially viable non addictive strain of spice. In the old PBP it was established that most failed samples resulted in respiratory failure. Not instant death but in a few minutes. Maybe roll a red dice to see a result.

  4. Dashtha rifles through the satchel hurriedly trying to determine what had been tampered with. She was not going to lose months of work to a **** weasly bastard. Or she hoped she wasn't. There had already been enough setbacks. And now people were waving guns around.

(Bastard is fine but we can't say dam, makes sense.)

  5. "Zip it, Wan. We're on the clock now" Some little nagging feeling was burning in the back of Oola's mind. Something was wrong. But was it the situation at hand or was it with her? She felt anger banging to seethe deep down in her stomach. She didn't think it would help much but she drew her Lightsaber. The hum of the blade pulsed through the alleyway as she ignited it. Showering the area in a pink-purple glow. "HEY! YOU DRAG US DOWN TO THIS SHITHOLE THEN KEEP US WAITING?! LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED SHALL WE?!"

  6. Dashtha lay on the cold floor, other people were making a lot of noise. She just wanted to sleep. She'd been through a lot and this hadn't helped any. A slight moment of panic made her jolt up as she tried to find her satchel with her experiment samples. It wasn't there. She looked about the dingy room hoping to see it discarded on the floor.

Green Ronin did this when they were still working on the Dragon Age system. They started out strong, then there was a long gap, then a longer one.... I haven't done much with them since they finally finished the core rules for Dragon Age so I can't say how they are now. Just that FFG's delays at this point remind me a lot of the 5 year wait for the set of the Dragon Age rules with levels 10-20 in them.

Faces of Thedas will hopefully be out this year, 2 years after announcement, 1 year after my campaign ended.
