Yeah, that was my reference to other suckier options. Basic savings after using a rental Po Box Service, border fees and duty are about 10$ and it requires you to cross on a weekday during business hours. It’s really not a great option. Instead I pay more and occasionally whine about it lol.

It shouldn’t matter when they change the date on the website we have been told directly that the release of FO is March 29th. That’s enough confirmation for me. Likely the entire update will happen at some point soon, but I am glad we have confirmation ahead of the actual reveal.

It’s usually about 100 CAD for each book after exchange and delivery with the potential for an extra 16$ or so in duty if Customs decides to apply it. Not the price I want to pay for something that is only really coming from MN but oh well. I live in Windsor so I can literally look out my window at Detroit and the US... seeing those prices for delivery are always painful. (Other options exist, but they suck so I pay it)

I tend to agree on both counts. Seems like they wanted FO to come out then and any coincidence of release is just that. The tie in with DOR and Rebels is throughout the book, so it’s more of a likely thing that they wanted to capitalize on that popularity.

An email to support clarified that it is indeed Fully Operational and that I should have it by the date of the official release, March 29th. So we now have our date as well. Someone asked if I had preordered the D6 Anniversary but that is a negative. Just ciphers and the FAD book that @Absol197 kind of wants....

Another Engineer has confirmed also receiving the email so we can be confident this is FO.

I have, and I have to be honest here, I’m not 100% positive that it’s FO... it could be either of the other two as it only says “a product you ordered.” And I haven’t been able to ascertain the order other than the amount, which is always screwy because of the International Shipping costs.

That’s just poor imagination. The USA has the highest expenditure of any nation on military hardware and yet it still has moments where it can’t be everywhere or unleash its full might. What if you are Imperials who are hunting dissension within your own ranks as Loyalty Officers or ISB Agents? What if you are tasked with infiltrating a Rebel Cell for the purposes of turning the one known cell into a full fledged understanding of the Rebel Command and its key personnel. Remember, the Iron Fist approach isn’t always the best and was tried and failed miserably whereas Thrawn’s small investigations arguably uncovered more. A well written sourcebook could capitalize on many of these ideas and more. Defections, Double agents, Training, Promotions, Rank Structures, Organizations, Key Officers/ships/installations etc. This could be the single greatest sourcebook available to a campaign if it were done right (besides CRB).

His stats are in the Dawn of Rebellion book. You can just ramp it up or down from there as needed.

From the FFG Preorder. I live in Canada. I happened to be the first to get DOR when that came and the book was a week and half to my house from the email. Let’s hope the same is true. I have been playing nothing but mechanics since getting this system and I really want to explore the new ship building rules and start utilizing the Knowledge: Education investments!

Yeah, but there’s a change in how they are even delivering announcement articles. From 3 to 1 or none. We have to try and let them know that more information is wanted, whether specifics are offered or not.

So don’t send it to customer service, send it to Press Release section. If it doesn’t do the job well at least we will have tried. Someone in that department should pay attention to the amount of traffic regarding the issue and send it up the pipe. If not, well then they are terrible at their job. A good company wants to know when their customers are revolting in outrage.

I second that call. Let’s send in the messages until we get some news on this. FFG can ignore a dozen people but can they ignore a hundred? Make it clear that this affects you. The longer it takes the more dissatisfied our players get and the more games and players leave the system and our games. Alone we are just complaining in the wind... but together, we are the Alliance to Restore the Most Basic Customer Service Standard. Jokes aside, we need everyone to write in. Tell your players, tell their wives to write how they don’t want to hear their husbands complaining about it anymore, tell your local FLGS... if not for yourselves, then do it for @Absol197! Like Jyn we will keep going until the chances are spent! For the Alliance!

Time has come to send messages to FFG enmasse and ask them what is happening with this book. We can be polite, but we need to be persistent. Fans should not be ignored, and product delays of this magnitude should be addressed to assuage player fears and to prepare groups timelines. I know I’ve had a few friends who played mechanics leave the game and I’ve had three campaigns end in the time it has taken so far, all without any news if it’s tmw or ten years from now. Only a combined press of questions can get FFG to care enough to say something. As Princess Leia once said, “... you are my only hope.” P.S. I know there will be those who disagree, that’s fine, don’t bother doing so. Those that want to see progress will.

I don’t see this as a problem. Player characters are not meant to be run of the mill. Using the systems that have been playtested to boost attributes by RAW is intentional. If you feel that a player reaching a 6 intellect at 200 xp is too smart for that level of play, then ask him to open a can of pickled nerf. Guaranteed she’s/he’s sacrificed others areas to get to that point. Your job as a GM is to challenge your players by presenting them new and unique problems. throw a force power at them, or a social skill. Seperate players who rely on their counterparts to make up their shortcomings to reinforce their failing. My most memorable session had my character lose a Discipline Check to a Miralukan Force Using Crime Boss who basically Kylo Ren’d the thoughts of her Deception from her.

So should we just crowd source what we think this book looks like since it’s turned into half-life 3? I would be willing to tackle the races lol.

Any legitimate facts behind this? Because FO was in the pipe before Dawn was even announced and had already passed its approvals prior to going to print. So unless said printer decided to bump FO and wait for Dawn to catch up, this all seems rather nonsensical. In addition, it doesn’t explain how the book has been back on US soil for at least as long as Dawn and yet has not been released. Clearly it is being held up bc of some consideration of timing probably as has been said to have seperate product windows so as not to adversely affect sales of lines..... but for the fans that have waited without word or sign for some progress on this book (FO) it’s not only disheartening it’s the worst business practices on display. TLDR: I’ve seen the excuses and they suck. Release the **** book already.

At the bottom of each page for the talent trees it specificallys states, “Permission given to print and photocopy this page for personal use only. LFL FFG” No, you are not allowed to share it. You may have done so in the past, but it is specifically stated that you cannot do so, and so any sharing was and remains, a violation.

Kanan’s description states he doesn’t need to commit Force dice to have it in effect all the time. If you are more interested in whether the control upgrade applies to all elements of the Farsight power that’s something I’ll leave for someone with more understanding to reply to.
