    @Rhellik I've seen the screenshots and I can see potential in your application if only it could support skirmish. You only need 3 maps (current rotation), command cards and deployment cards from the data model provided on GitHub by @lvisintini (https://github.com/lvisintini/imperial-assault-data). These things would be just enough for making your app the hub of all imperial assault skirmish players. You would get a ton of users playtesting the app every day. If you want to do that and you need help, consider me hired (I'm a SW engineer).

    The skirmish will always be live because every game is timed 65 mins. I believe the only thing you're missing are, deployment/command cards, figure tokens on the map and the 3 maps itself. It would be great if we could get to an early prototype. Have you ever thought of making your project public on GitHub or similar?

    From Todd:
    Arcing Shot must be played “before you declare an attack,” so unfortunately you cannot use it when redeclaring the target due to On the Lam.
    Additionally, Arcing Shot only applies to the initial declaration. Even if it was played before the attack, it does not apply to a redeclaration later during the attack.

    I believe problem with Assassinate is that it is a 100% reliable card. You can reliably get the kill and play the card only when you really need it. I guess that changing the trigger of the card to step 1 of the attack may induce hunter players to take the risk of wasting the card if the attack is unlucky. Pretty much like On the Lam, it looks to me both cards suffer the same problem: "too strong at zero risk", that is too good even at 3 PTS.

As Filippo pointed out in the previous post, silence doesn't mean FFG isn't looking for a way to finally bring Yoda into Imperial Assault. 🤩
    For what concerns kits for OP, we keep producing them and asking more than what stores pre-ordered, so that we are ready in case a new store or community wants to joing this game.
    For what concerns the app, our initial plans were to release it years ago. We had delays because of workload (digital content has no deadlines, for this reason it has lower priority than paper unless mandatory for playing the game, like in Mansion of Madness or The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-earth mentioned by other posts above), also FFG didn't take into account gender and number (those don't exist in english language, but unfortunately they do in italian and other languages) and code was changed only a couple of months ago, forcing us to edit again what we had already translated. We're working on this and we've never said we don't translate the app. It's not priority right now, but we can't wait the time we'll ship the app finally translated in Italian 😎

    2 from Gideon/3po and 6 from "get into position". Ideally at the start of round two, all 6 rebel troopers will be focused, along with two rangers, with the third having a power token from Kotun.

    I'm saying my group is just fine. Problem is all the people that got this game spoiled because someone was dictating what to do. Those people left the game with the idea it's a bad game. I'm not saying my solution is THE solution, just saying you have 1 or 2 leaders around, you ask them advice. Which is like we all do in our life, we all ask advice to people we trust.
    You can get leader by election, by trait, by merit or whatever mechanism you prefer.

    On Alpha gaming: it’s something each group has to deal with within itself.  I find I hard to blame the game.  There’s no one mechanic you can add to a game to prevent it.  I mean, in Gloomhaven it’s prevented by the games core mechanics; if you try to incorporate those rules, on some level, you’re making the same game.
    Just say “hey, if you do that the IP might...” The only problem with that might be that you’re giving the IP a strategy they may have missed.  You don’t have to tell them what to do instead, just make sure they’re aware of the risk.
    I see it as the Catan of co-op games. If someone wants to experience board games beyond Monopoly, Aggravation,  or Sorry then those are the two I suggest getting started with.
     I don’t want to play either of them, though.

    Pandemic is the most known full-coop game. Everyone likes it and when I publicly say it's garbage I always get a lot of complaints. So I won't say Pandemic is garbage here...

    The rules actually say that if the rebels can't make a decision, the imperial player chooses a rebel player to make the decision.
    A lot of the concerns (like usability of allies and snowballing) have been addressed already through campaign structure in new expansions, and rules changes that apply to previous campaigns as well.
    I chuck the others in the opinions category. It's okay if the game is not for your group.

    One person playing for all players. Maybe because they have "better" understanding of the game, and so takes charge and "decides" what other players should do.

    Not a native speaker but "there's no plan" should be different than "there's no more plan". I agree this is quite a bad news in any case. For skirmish players this is worst than campaign players. Reason isn't the app itself, the real problem is that we left with a broken meta, for long time or possibly forever. I hope they'll at least produce a couple FAQs to address this regardless of their plans on this game.

    Word of warning: avoid this. It's incomplete, full of errors, hasn't been updated or corrected in a year, and the author didn't respond when I tried to contact him with fixes.
    Tools -> Export Game Data... from any of the Kensei Imperial Assault Tools provides a complete and (as far as I know, let me know if you find otherwise) correct data set for Deployment and Command cards (other card types to follow at some point).

    Everyone has their variant or platform they prefer. Of course this might not be the go-to online version of the game, but I think it's a needed addition for people who want to play online without having to have a notepad with all banners and codes and everything. That's still a thing people might shy away from.
    There are also 2 small groups that play their rounds over a short period of time a day, so if the group is focused enough you could almost play live as well. 
    I think one strength of it is, that is IS playable on mobile. Depending on the size of your screen it might be more or less enjoyable but it still works either way.
