  1. Just a thought, but wouldn't cannons and siege type weapons be Operating or Mechanics? Gunnery is still an Agility based which I always took as used for the fine motor skills needed to aim. These weapons are more of an Int based art to hit.
  2. DriveThru RPG has an app to manage your downloads too. I found it the other day and it's really helpful to know which is the most current version.
  3. I'd agree with HappyDaze on this one. See page 89 of the CRB. A despair or a certain number of threats would be the best to capture that feeling. That maybe where you want to throw a story point at the difficulty. Otherwise you'd have slow down combat and make the weapon have Prepare so they have to use a round to load unless a loader was ready to go.
  4. Is the wish list on the front page the order you think you're going to work on things as you have time? Magic and Heroic abilities are high on my wish list but I understand this is a free tool and I'll be patient.
  5. @Archellus Sorry about that. I didn't mean to duplicate work. I'm trying not to duplicate effort. I don't think I looked at the current list after I finished Rat Swarm.
  6. Willpower at three with your divine at 1 or 2 will be effective to start with if you keep your spells on the simpler side. As you add range, people or effects you add difficulty. Being able to control how hard you want to make the spell is what makes the system scale fairly well.
  7. Rat Swarm - (Minion) Rats are common throughout Terrinoth, and although they have been known to spread disease and spoil stores of food, they are otherwise quite harmless. At times, however, they swarm together, as if controlled by a malevolent force. In such great numbers, rats are no longer mere nuisances, and many a hero has vanished beneath a horde of rats, never to be seen again. Skills: Brawl 1 Abilities: Merge: Choose 1 rat swarm short distance to this swarm. This swarm suffers damage equal to its remaining wounds, and the chosen swarm recovers an equal amount of wounds and increases by the remaining amount of rats. Rend: Choose one PC engaged to this swarm roll a Hard Resilience check. If they fail, they are Bleeding. Feast: This attack gains 1 wound per remaining minion in the group. Ravenous: When attacking a PC that is Bleeding, this monster adds an Advantage to its attack results. Equipment: Claws and teeth (Brawl; Damage 1; Critical 4; Range [Engaged]). From Heros of Terrinoth and Shadow of Nerekhall expansion for Descent 2e. Cave Spider (Minion) Large, aggressive, and frequently hunting in packs, there are few monsters more dangerous than the venomous cave spiders of the Shadow Peaks. In recent years they have spread far beyond their usual territory, and some of the spiders now hunt with numerous sticky webs... Skills: Range, Stealth Abilities: Poison: Enemies who are wounded by a scorpion swarm must make a Hard Resilience check as an out-of-turn incidental or suffer 4 additional wounds, and must check again on their next turn if the check generates Despair. Web: Each enemy engaged to this monster must suffer 1 Strain to dodge this attack. If a crit is activated the attack hits and the enemy is rooted until the end of the Cave Spiders' next round. Equipment: Chelicera (Brawl; Damage 1; Critical 4; Range [Engaged]), Spinnerets (Range; Damage 1; Range [Short]; Critical 3, Web) . From the core Descent 2e box. As always feed back welcomed!
  8. Thank you for the feedback. I will add them now. Please add it to the bestiary with your recommendations. Who do you prefer me to make my entries, graphic like this or text in a post that you can copy and paste?
  9. Here's my attempt of re-skinning a Giant from RoT page 226. As always I'm using HoT as reference material. This is a rival that is "easier" to deal with than Giant or Ettin though it still has some challenges. One of the actions from HoT is Toss Stone. So I made this giant a ranged rock thrower.
  10. Looks good to me! Thanks for your work on this. Between work being crazy and my HoT getting shoved under the bed I haven't had time to add my NPC's. I feel the HoT versions of NPC's will be less fleshed out than what you've come up so far. So any ideas for mine are more than welcome.
  11. Oh and FFG is running two live streams from player creation through an adventure. Looking forward to it.
  12. I usually call "Finess X". Where X is the skill or weapon that is updated. When we had strict going I had a "Finess" setting to bring that skill into other settings.
  13. No, I think he's talking about the fan server.
  14. I saw that the reprint Heirs of Blood campaign for Descent 2 is on the boat. Is there enough in this book to convert to a Genesys campaign?
  15. All right, we’ll call it a draw. Come, Patsy.
  16. OK I don't have a Clawdite card. They are a PC race in No Desinigration so I'll look into that tomorrow. @Watercolour Dragon I like your ideas. I really think based on those right ups that there can be minion, rival and nemesis form for Carrion Worm. Here's the "grub" version as a minion. I'm re-skinning a Kouhun from SW-RPG beast card deck. Carrion Worm (Grub Form) - Undead / Minion B-1;A-2;I-1;C-1;W-1;P-1 Skill (Group Only): Brawl Soak 1, WT 3, 0 Defense Ability: Ichor: If the target suffers wounds from the Carrion Worm's (grub) mandible attack, the target must make an Average Resilience check. The target suffers 5 wounds if they fail, plus 1 strain per threat. Despair means the target must check against the poison again at the start of their next turn. Silhouette 0 Equipment: Spine (Brawl: Damage 2, Crit 4; Engaged; Pierce 5), mandibles (Brawl; Damage 2, Crit 3, Range Engaged, Pierce 2) Crypt Dragon - Undead Dragon / Rival (Re-skinned Young Dragon) While other dragons hoard items for their great value or shining brilliance, crypt dragons are far more interested in items of great magic or fate. These powerful artifacts have been known to carry dreadful curses and, being disturbed or even used by the Crypt Dragons, terrorize settlements near the tombs and graveyards where these beasts build their hoards. B-4, A-3,I-3,C-2,W-2,P-2 Soak: 6, WT 23, 0 Defense Skills: Arcana 1, Brawl 2, Cool 3, Ranged 2, Resilience 2, Runes 1, Vigilance 3. Talents: Swift (a dragon does not spend additional maneuvers to move through difficult terrain). Abilities: Flyer (can fly; see page 100 of the Genesys Core Rulebook), Silhouette 2, Terrifying (at the start of the encounter, all of their opponents must make a Hard fear check as an out-of-turn incidental, as per page 243 of the Genesys Core Rulebook. If there are multiple sources of fear in the encounter, the opponents only make one fear check against the most terrifying enemy), Frail (for every 5 wounds add a set back die to it's attack roll). Spells: A crypt dragon can use any magic actions allowed for the Arcana and Runes skills, and may select additional effects as normal. A crypt dragon hoards the magical crafts of its race, and might experiment with any manner of spell. Equipment: Fiery breath (Ranged; Damage 8; Critical 3; Range [Short]; Blast 8, Burn 2, Prepare 1), claws (Brawl; Damage 8; Critical 3; Range [Engaged]; Vicious 2).
  17. Nice work putting this all together. I like how you used the "Use this for" section for skills and in careers. It seems Elementalism could be Presence based instead of Cunning based looking at the descriptions. The PC is negotiating with the elements to do an action and negotiation is Presence based.
  18. I think I do have that. I've got a game tonight but will look at this tomorrow.
  19. Here's the list of enemies I will be setting up minus named Nemesis. If it's in RoT or CRB I didn't add it to my list. Any preferences to which I should work on next? Goblin Archer Done Mountain Giant Done Sorcerer (On your to-do list) (My notes: Rival version of Storm Sorceress, reduce defense, Arcana, cool, disc by 1 each. Reduce Lore by 2. Remove Talent Adversary 1 replace with Lightning (on successful Arcana check all enemies at Short Range receive 1 wound) Drop Blizzard and Squall) Rat Swarm (On your to-do list) (My ideas Minion version of Scorpion Swarm, agility 1, soak 0, wounds 4, Sil 0, change abilities to "Hard to Kill" - Add 1 failure per mininion alive in the group on attacks against it. equipment Claws) Cave Spider Done Dark Priest Done, might convert the HoT version as Dark Acolyte or Nameless Acolyte as rival or minion. Is this a Lovecraft type alien? Zombie (On your to-do list) Reanimated Warrior (More powerful Reanimate) Changeling (On your to-do list - I think I have a SWRPG NPC card with something we can reskin) Crow Hag (On your to-do list) Reanimated Archer (I'm thinking re-skinned Stormtrooper minion with undead flavor) Carrion Worm Crypt Dragon
  20. I updated my post. Would it be possible to add it to your document? I really like what you're putting together? I have others I'll post here as I can get to them.
  21. Here's my first attempt at converting a Hero's of Terrinoth adversary. Goblin Archer (Rival) Goblins are a cowardly but avaricious lot and won't back down from enriching themselves if the odds are in their favor. Brwn - 2, Agi - 3, Int - 1, Cun -2, WP - 2, Pr - 2 Soak 3 - Wounds - 14 - Def M0/R1 Skills - Deception, Perception, Stealth, Survival 2, Range 2 Talents - None Abilities - Dark Vision (when making skill checks, goblins remove up to 2 setback imposed due to darkness), Goblin shot (goblin archer inflict 2 additional damage with successful range attacks on prone or immobilized targets) Equipment: Bow (Ranged; Damage 7; Critical 3; Range [Medium]; Unwieldy 2); pointy teeth (Brawl; Damage 3; Critical 3; Range [Engaged]; Vicious 1), grimy leather armor (+1 soak, +1 range defense).
  22. I was thinking the same thing for a Pokemon hack. My thought was using a deck of standard playing cards to represent random 'mons found in the world. The higher the card the better/more powerful/evolved it would have been. Keeping things simple, each suite would represent a type that would have a weakness and strength against another suite with the 4th being a wild card allowing the player to choose. The cards from Hero's of Terrinoth could make a very interesting random final encounter if needed too.
  23. Oh and it's not a campaign. I found it fun after my first play through.
  24. I don't know about the rule thing. It was played at PAX Unplugged less then a month ago. I could see some lessons learned that are being worked on or fine tuned or player feed back to go through. I'm hoping we'll hear see something in January. Soon (TM) is when I'm sure we'll have an announcement.
  25. I got Hero's of Terrinoth because A) it looked fun (me and my group enjoyed the first game) and B) to add more Terrinoth NPC's/Story ideas to my adventures. I have identified 7 unique named NPC's (Splig is the 8th), 13 unique to semi-unique NPC's and 12 named Hero's for pre-generated characters. I am working on what I can for a conversion to Genesys for my personal games. If anyone else is working on it let me know and maybe we can talk about it on the Discord channel.
