Yes, the title explicitly requires a Target Lock.  A munition requiring a Focus would just mean that you need a Focus and a Target Lock to fire while Weapons Disabled.  This would appear to be a slip-up on the part of the article authors.

It usually seems to happen at least once in each article.  Maybe FFG's actually doing it intentionally to promote player involvement.  "Did you spot the rules error in today's article?  Head over to the forums to find out!"

Oh good I'm not crazy. Also you're right. I think they've kept the tradition alive since at least the previous time they talked about SLAM, at the very least.

  2. I may be reading this incorrectly. The OS-1 title says that you may fire missiles and torpedoes at a target that you have target locked while you have a weapons disabled token. However, the text for Major Vynder in the article https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2017/10/20/indiscriminate-devastation/ mentions using SLAM to fire unguided rockets, and the image provided in the article does not also show a target lock on the X-wing target.

Does the title require a target lock on the target to be able to fire ordinance, or not?

  3. 6 points. One crew slot.

At the end of the Activation phase, assign one token of the type of your choice to a friendly ship within range 3

Helps Imperials dig out of getting ruined by stress.  The way that X-wing has abstracted "best at planning" seems to have been floating dice modification - Palpatine floating modifications and Tarkin giving or stealing a token.

Plus, I wonder if anyone not amused by hearing the phrase "cloaked Soontir" has a pulse.
