  1. I’ve just stepped back into Legion after the initial game drop. So I’m just getting back up to speed with the new units. In the escalation league I’m in I’ve just been awarded a special forces unit. Of the two currently released rebel units, in people’s opinions which is the better of the two and why?

  6. I flicked over to AnyDice and added the Fleet Troopers. Their fire output compared to Rebel Troopers is quite nice. As a rebel player I'm very much looking forwards to running a squad or two of these.

  9. Th fleet troopers are good in damage output, causing and extra hit in average, but they don’t benefit at much from the dodge token Liea provides due to the lack of nimble. But I may try a few out to see if damage is better than survival I haven’t tried min sized squads yet as prefer to know I’ll have at least few bodies left when I get to an objective. I do however like the idea of an extra activation. I’d go the grenade launcher as well because cover 1 is so easy to get.

  12. Starting to see the value in cheaper leader options. Here we see that even with the T-47 Airspeeder there's room for 2 AT-RTs to soak anti armour fire. Leia's take cover ability in conjunction with the trooper's nimble will allow a push up the centre with some certainty they could make it. I'd start with her Coordinated Bombardment to try and whittle some wounds off speeder bikes as her sharpshooter takes care of their cover.   13. I'm a rebels player myself but I wanted to have a look at how Veers might work. The idea here is to form a fire base with the two HH-12 equipped units and use his order Imperial Discipline along with Spotter 2 and Inspire 1 for the extra suppression removal. There is quite a lot of action economy in that little package. Push forwards with the 3 DLT-19 armed units. For the round where the bikes are in the thick of it issue Evasive Maneuvers.   14. I've gotten a few games under my belt now as the rebels. I am starting to wonder if 3 naked speeder bikes is better than a fully equipped AT-ST. I'm finding I can focus fire the AT-ST pretty easily, it is usually dead the top of turn 2 or the bottom of turn 3. Yes 3 speeders is a few more points but has 18 wounds, cant get damaged, nor focus fired. What are your thoughts?
  15. Three AT-RT smash it pretty easily. You lose one AT-RT before taking it down but then they’re free to to go Vader hunting. Ive played half a dozen games on TTS now and it really isn’t that threatening. From my all be it short experience SWL is turning into a MSU game.
  16. I played my first game last night on the Table Top Simulator (great mod, go get it). I had a few situations where the number of rerolls didnt match the dice, do these rerolls carry over? As an example, rolled 3 dice with depleted storm troopers that had an aim token plus their inbuilt precise. Rolled 2 hits and a miss, spent the aim token. Does that allow me to reroll the miss dice up to 3 times until I get the result I am after, or do the extra rerolls get lost as I can only spend them on one dice?

  18. So the next question I have, anyone keen to do a starter kits army swap? I'd prefer playing Empire but if your dead keen on the evil ones and want to swap out the rebels I'd be happy to do that as well.
  19. I'll be basing my games at the Magic Vault. So if we get as far as a league that's where I'll run it. Currently running Mordhiem and Runewars there.
  20. Cool, I think we'll probably organise through the SW: Legion Australian FB page, you guys members yet? There's about 300 members, reinforces the issue with Runewars, great game no players, only 90 or so members in the Oz RW FB page.
  21. Yeah it’d be a few hundred km round trip. Maybe if we get a regional comp in Brisbane.
  22. Anyone in Brisvagas thinking of picking this up? It’s been hard to get players for Runewars so I’m looking for a player base before I invest in Legion.
