  1. Are the old roles playable in a tournament? if yes for how long?
  2. Is there a action-window phase before the first conflit and after each conflict ?
  3. maybe earth/2 rouded down more opportunity so it's scalling 3 opportunity is already very hard on a 3ring 3 kenjutsu
  4. What do u think of a new earthstance that's says : to critical hit you with opportunity an opponents must use 1 more opportunity ? (3 opportunity to crit hit you)

P49 Strike with No Thought (Rank 6 Mastery Ability) Activation: Once per scene, as an Attack action, you may make a Martial Arts [Melee] (Void) check targeting one character at range 2–4 using a sheathed katana or wakizashi. The TN of this check is equal to your target’s vigilance. Effect: You immediately move to range 1 of your target. If you succeed, your target suffers a critical strike with a severity equal to the deadliness of your weapon plus your bonus successes. +: One character of your choice at range 0–2 of your target per  spent this way suffers the Dazed and Disoriented conditions. P166 Range 4 represents the midrange for missile weapons like bows—a dozen to a hundred meters. Generally speaking, this range coincides with the edge of earshot for most characters. One action to move 100 meters doesnt make sense
  6. there is something extremly wrong with weapons. P143 Otsuchi is a better Tetsubo with no downsize. Same for Crossbow and yumi, yari and naginata, is cumbersome worth the -1 damage -3 deadliness (Naginata Seems overpowered) please give some bonuses and or downsize to have some balance

Crane where known for "to do what we must" and sacrifice. i dont see crane bushi lacking Courage. Duty and loyalty are the core of a samurai. i understand the unique view of the dragon and their struggle between duty and humanity, but they try o find another way. No samurai is forgiven for betrayal.
  9. The Finishing Blow blow rules p162 is very funny and should be in the center to any duel, even the one who have been planned for a days (the one who strife of any participant is 0). Strife management should be key. but i dont see how you could really create an outburst without any action that create strife . the only one is center and is very luck depend . The provoke action should have for each Opportunities generate 1 strife What i imagine duel go like. First strike : the one who has initiative wins a TN 2 Martial Arts check should not be a problem for a bushi , so staredown is the key; so you bid your composure -1 to -4 if you are a gambler or not. I would like to see a water assessment give you the focus value or/and the composure of your opponent instead of terrain who is not really relevent because you are always at attack range I would like to see a fire assessment that give you the best rings of your opponent. so you have more chance to give strife with the center action. Duel to first blood. p160 Requirements: At the end of each round, if either character is Incapacitated, this objective is completed. if you strike to incapacited with a katana you are likely to kill or to crush a limb. Imo To First Blood and to death are the same. A Finishing Blow should be lethal Dont over commit to staredown because you will likely not die in 1 strike and you won have penaltys to your check due to damage. if every 2 or 3 damages would create 1or 2 strife it would be a great mental game. And to avoid a duel that is center, center , center , center, ... 2 center in a row should give you a strife. And Provoke is a little weak , it should give 2 strife is the opponent doesnt attack (provoke is tn 3). What do you think? The kakita are the most skilled duelist (tied with mirumotos) but in duel they perform weaker critical hits . Because they are using the blade one-handedly. A Kakita must be rank 3 to have better critical hit than a mere rank 1 unicorn In duel Kakitas should have rank+2 in deadliness while using iaijustu.

You ignore the Cumbersome quality of armor you wear. Once per scene, before making a check to resist a critical strike, you may reduce the severity of the critical strike by the physical resistance of your armor plus your school rank (to a minimum of 0).Starting Outfit: Lacquered armorShouldn't the lacquered armor have the Cumbersome quality ?Something that i find odd is how is it possible for a Traveling Clothes to protect as much as a Concealed Armor. There 99% of time is no point to have a Concealed armor then.My Solution: Traveling clothes shold have 1 armor but you must have 3 opportunity to critical hit some oneA Katana as base damage of 4 and a lacquered armor a resistance of 4 , if you dont critical hit someone wearing a lacquered armor you will only inflict 0-3 dommage per attack (this seems off) and you will offen damaged your Katana by doing this (p147 razor edge) and if the katana is damaged, his damages is decreased by 2 and you will never kill him.A character as a average Resilience of 8-12, you must hit him 4 to 10 times to wear him down if he is in earth stance (to negate crit with opportunitty) and i am not even talking if the kata striking as Earth is used.My Solution: The 2 handed grip should also boost the damaged by 2
  11. Is stowing a katana the same as sheathing it (i would say yes) In water stance you can stow / sheath your katana p 154 As part of setting a stance, a character may ready or stow one item or weapon and set the grip with which they are wielding it Where is this , i did not remember this

  13. For poor frenchies like we are, it's not easy to grasp everything in the first reading ^^ French version : Mais en gros pour faire simple apres avoir choisit une stance ,tu fais tout tes jets avec l'anneau en question jusqu'au début de ton prochain tour.
