I honestly think we are only moments away from people fortressing Dengar + Tel/Bossk/Whoever in a corner, both equipped with Expertise + K4 while just waiting for their prey to come within range to melt them. I don't have the guts to do it myself, but now that you can get full mod shots by just banging 2 ships into each other in a corner, I'm not sure why I haven't seen it yet. Poor on defense perhaps, but I really haven't seen that stop Expertise K4 Dengar yet.

Fortressing/castling Dengar-Tel also has four dice if and when it goes to final salvo...

Why do European nationals get the awesome R2 templates and US nats get these crappy ones?

Oh and FFG if you like money you should really mass produce those R2-D2 templates and sell them. I would pay double the normal template price for those.

R2-D2 templates are in European Continentals not Nationals.

  3. I didn't play Bro-Bots when they were the hotness. I bought one on a whim for a team epic tournament. My 200pts were Moralo with triple-Bots (borrowed other two from a friend) and I fell in love with those things. I also took them for a spin in FLGS escalation tournament and finished fifth (of eight). Competitive or not I occasionally fly them for the giggles.

Untrue. He was given a game loss and a warning. Someone in the situation you described will have the additional penalty of a warning (if you decide to follow FFG's lead). What that warning means is up to you. Could be "next call is a DQ." Could be "three warnings in 6 months is a 3-month ban." Whatever you want.

    ^THIS^

IMO warning was the primary penalty and game loss was only because the proof was there.

In many cases claims of cheating are word against word and TO can really only issue a warning and keep an eye out.

Actually Whisper, OL and Inquisitor are seeing play a lot in my local scene, though again it is an #Outerrimmeta. Soontir & Jax on the other hand are nowhere to be seen.

As for Vader, I recall @nigeltastic once said that Predator ATC EU Vader is 37 pts of choke me harder daddy in his local meta.

Whisper made it to top16 in Worlds. QD/BD-OL-Vessery was a thing in Worlds. Vader is nice with RAC-Kylo(crew) aka "Grandfather! I'll finish what you started..."

Why limit this to just Fel and Carnor? Surely Vader, Whsiper, Omega Leader, Inquisitor, and all the other aces that are equally underplayed should be included.

No. I haven't seen a single Interceptor in any competitive list for ages now. All the others are quite good compared (even Vader). It might have something to do with shields...

Same. I bought the HWK for the model before I had even seen someone play the game.

I first started my collection with two OT Core Sets, HWK and TIE-Advanced. It was a good and balanced starter for two players. My first Rebel list were Luke-Biggs-Kyle.

  8. My favourite ship ever! Earlier this week I set myself a challenge to build triple-HWK lists for both Rebels and Scum with all the named pilots. Already tested the scum one with proxy ships and it's fun to fly if a bit hard to remember all shenanigans...

Today or tomorrow I'll get two more ships and paint them. The other is going to be a construction vehicle with "mind your head" stripes in wingtips and turret. The other is going to have some electric feedback flash lightning thingies all around.

  9. Not tested yet...

    HWK-290: · Torkil Mux (19)

         Ion Cannon Turret (5)
         Vectored Thrusters (2)
         · Dengar (3)
    HWK-290: · Palob Godalhi (20)
         Predator (3)

         · Greedo (1)
         Black Market Slicer Tools (1)
    HWK-290: · Dace Bonearm (23)
