It's the best when Dengar is desperate enough to take revenge shot after snap shot without mods (or with only TL).

I don't think Autothrusters are a must have if your ship is in the 20-something point range and while Juke with Snap Shot is amazing, Crack Shot isn't much worse as it allows you to attack with focus and TL in the combat phase. Zeb sounds pretty cool, though, maybe in a list like this?
"Zeb" Orrelios (18)
Autoblaster Turret (2)
Operations Specialist (3)Captain Rex (14)
Green Squadron Pilot (19)

Zeb is still the primary target and Attack Shuttle makes him extremely vulnerable and costly. You'll be lucky if you get to fire that Autoblaster even once. In TIE Fighter Zeb is way more cost efficient.
Sidenote for funzies: I call my version of the list "King for a Day" because while "in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king", in list of PS3 Captain Rex is king. Also in latin "rex" means "king" and I've been listening to too much Battle Beast...
Another sidenote: I'm thinking of changing one Juke to Intimidation. Haven't tested it yet and I think Admiral Ackbar might have something to say about it...

Now that I think about it I wish the Gunboat was reality so I could shoot them all down!

X7 Defender is still the number one on my list. Honorable mentions to Omega Leader, Miranda and Echo.

It demolished me pretty handily, though I had the problem of playing a Quadjumper in my list that was just hard countered by Snap Shot. However the way it works is quite beautiful - since Operations Spec will generate lots of focus, you will be free to boost into anticipated range one and block positions quite often without giving up actions for your combat phase. The list has not been successful on a whole, though, even though the purchase requirements have gone down a lot with Snap Shot being featured in the Upsilon Shuttle expansion. It is not featured on meta-wing at all however, so maybe there is something to be found here.
I tried a variation of that list but it didn't work that well. Ahsoka is a pointsink because she does not contribute to shooting and messes up the PS-unity that Zeb or Braylen has with Greens. Also those Greens are lacking Autothrusters which are vital against all the turrets. And finally Juke is far better than Crack Shot for A-wings.

Plain swarm can't stand meta at all but specialized mini-swarm (Green A-wing, Black TIE, TPV) can beat both meta and plain swarms.
5-6 ship swarm is good but prepare to lose 1-2 ships to the alpha strike.

-- TOTAL ------- 100p. --TIE Fighters are actually a trap and acceptable losses because they are so cheap. In four swiss rounds my losses were five TIEs and only one A-wing.
In one match I was against Dengar-Bossk. In first engagement both of my TIEs got one shotted with ordnance and A-wings halved Bossk with one snap and juke shots. From that point on A-wings just toyed around with the enemy ships like little kittens blocking and snapping almost every turn.

I tend to smile when playing a raider and see any agility 0/1 ships on the other side of the board.
I took three Roboaggressors and Moralo to a team epic tournament and lost only one bot in three games (IIRC that is. Might have been two but still...). Raider doesn't like flanking bots.

Happy saturday morning! My friday was happy. Finally had some leftover money and bought myself Imperial Aces and my collection is now only five expansions short of complete. Also tourney on sunday and my list feels good.
Edit: All of the upcoming expansions have something that i must have. Intensity card and Kihraxz fix are on the top of my list.

Specialized swarms make Jumpmasters life miserable be it TIE, A-wing or Scyk variant. A good example would be a TIE swarm with EH-Youngster, a few Crack/Snap Blacks and named pilots to flavor.

IMO the depth of the table should be almost exactly 36" and width should have the extra for cards and templates. That way you don't have to lean over all the equipment to move your ships.

My gaming table is Ikea Bjursta dining table (90/129/168x90 cm model). It has retractable side tables and all you really need for 100/6. Death Star mat goes a little bit over the deployment edges but doesn't really matter. Doesn't have dice towers or cup holders though...

I'm kinda indifferent about the fix but the video is cute.
Also the video gave me a bad case of earworm...

No secret magic needed. It has agi2, 4+5 hp and wants to get shot at.
Anything that can one-shot a Headhunter can kick in all the shields in one turn. Any pair of ships with 3 primary can do the same and worse. Also TLT does the trick but slower.

They are certainly not going to re-errata palp to make imperials competitive meta wise again.
The original x7 was worse than Dengar ever was or ever will be. Expertise Dengar is a glass cannon that takes over half of your list and can be halved in a second and shut down in another.
There is a serious problem with JM5K but it's not Dengar.

The dice that come in Illuminati Deluxe Edition (by Steve Jackson Games) are loaded or more spesificly "filed". There are two six sided dice which have flat "ones" and convex "sixes" and that gives you higher results. And because in that game high results are bad and it is THE game of conspiracy it might be intentional technical conspiracy and not just bad production values...

-- TOTAL ------- 97p. --Oh yeah
That's almost the same as my current tournament list. Mine has an Ion Torpedo on Fenn (for all those formation ********) and BMST on Dengar (if I have a leftover action and enemy ship is stressed might aswell...). My philosophy in building the list was:
1) I want Uniform PS and might aswell go up to 9
2) "No one flies Dengar anymore" (this was a few weeks before Worlds)
3) I love Expertise and what better platform for it than Dengar
I first toyed around with aforementioned Talonbane-Dengar but Kihraxz didn't really cut it. Don't get me wrong, I like my Kihraxz and I would like to see it fly and play beautiful music but it's just unable to do it right now. So I settled with Fenn Rau.
When I first saw the World Champion list i was both pleased and horrified. Pleased because I came up with the same setup for Dengar myself and horrified because now I'll have to explain everyone that I'm not blatantly copying that list.
EDIT: The ******* is the W-word not the F-word. Just FYI...

For me the games are always the king. I like all things Star Wars and i like some more than others, but all movies and such would be kinda lame if i couldn't immerse myself in that beautiful world through all the games.
As non-StaWa example IMO the new Battlestar Galactica tv series was kinda "meh" but the FFG board game justified its existence.
In X-wing my only concern with era splitting is that it sometimes looks stupid to fly ships from Empire and FO in the same list. And that's why when my stepson took QD/BD/Inquisitor to a regionals tournament i needed to have my TIE Advanced Prototype painted in the color scheme of TIE/sf. I think Decimator will be the next one to be "special forcified".

My Palob got one-shotted by that nine dice monster in a friendly "therapy" match the other day. Only seven damage though because Palob stole focus from Norra.

Timing of Rexler Braths Ability?
in X-Wing
Posted · Edited by Arthur_McGuire
I think using the token for the ability counts as using it during the attack because "after attacking" still happens in the flowchart for performing an attack and you can use it to flip zero cards. So if this is correct you can save the token for the ability but you are forced to spend it.
EDIT: No wait! For the ability to trigger the attack has to deal damage... IDK anymore...
