Sure, it doesn't have to be you. That's just what that particular argument encapsulates.
"The rules don't tell me what this means" is valid, but "so I get to do only the good parts" is made up. That argument is super wrong and can be tossed out - it's saying the rules don't cover non-action reloading, but then also saying what non-action reloading means - kind of contradictory, y'know? - and then conveniently also stating that it is just the upsides, based on nothing.
Of the possible arguments, I'm just outlining that in particular that one is super wrong.

My initial impression of Discord Missiles is you need more than one, probably the maximum three. That turns them into a meaningful lane/area denial threat rather than a wannabe Energy Shell, which is what you basically get by taking just one.
It'd be different if the B-22 or Infiltrator had missile slots, but you can't rely on getting a Discord Vulture to mid/end game.
At that point, you've invested a full 6 points over spamming ESCs instead, but it might be worthwhile. I've not gotten to try it extensively, obviously.
In my games of CIS so far (won some lost some) I've mostly just turbo-sucked at getting all my ships to engage at the same time because they all move kinda weird. (B-22 can't 3-turn, Vultures can't bank, large base decloaks + bumping).

svelok got a reaction from SpiderMana in Impervium Plating Vs Hull upgrade
Keep in mind how rarely you would pay the 5 points for Hull Upgrade. It's not like you see it being worth that price on X-Wings or whatever similar statline ships.
Impervium is one point more, and you're gambling on whether it'll better or worse. Soulless One is a multiplier on it but I'm not sold it's worth six points without.
I think it's actually a few points overpriced for non-Soulless B22s. At 3-4ish it would start to be appealing on like, Kraken Wat or generics.

Yeah. I just wanted to be clear that I'm not flaming you, just making sure the flaws of a bad argument I've already seen around a lot are pointed out.
"It just means you do a reload action but it's not an action" seems to be sufficiently satisfying to most people.

    It's definitely, definitely not this.
There's a word for that, it's "recover". "Reload" doesn't mean "just do whatever you want" - if the rules are unclear, you can't just ignore the half of they you don't like.
    Anyways, the key clause is:

Isn't this just saying you liked the old Aces boxes and want them to continue?
The only thing that makes the squadron packs different from that is the 10,000 generic upgrade cards for players who didn't buy a conversion kit, which makes the boxes more expensive to ship and take up more FLGS shelf space but don't actually matter to any existing player.
All I'm seeing is "put multiple ships in one big box with new paint schemes, instead of being multiple smaller boxes with new paint schemes"...?
    I don't really get it?
I mean it seems fine, it's not like I hate it, either. And it would be neat to see something like the ETA-2 coming in a double pack, including one in Anakin's colors and one on Obi-Wan's. But that's also ultimately just asking for more paint schemes... remember when everybody was mad ships are more expensive?

    1. How is it a problem that the game is less accessible to new players? I don't understand how that's a real question.
    2. I don't get this either. You don't understand how going from "we don't know whether it's X or Y" to "we know that it is Y" might disappoint people?

But the trajectory was meaningfully different.
We expected Wave 3 to add 6 new ships, all fully available, plus fill in two empty slots. Then, we expected Wave 4 to add three more new available ships, plus fill in almost all of the remaining gaps. Every faction but FO/Res, missing 1/2 respectively, was expected to be completely filled in by July.
Instead, the number of missing ships has gone up by four, and we've been given the meaningful threat that such rotations will keep happening more rapidly than ships can be re-released and we won't see a fully available hyperspace roster for years.
That's on top of the specific roster of ships being maybe not to people's liking. Barrage Bombers are kinda contentious, and Starvipers are a super-Legendsy ship and kind of seen as an "I came here to bid 15 points with Guri and move last" platform (rightly or wrongly).
