I'll probably use the same slot I used this time unless anyone has a reason for me to go first (I intend to help Khaine out with his strain if nothing urgent or terrible happens)

Returning from the abandoned yacht, Brin overhears the din of combat from over the comlink channels. Ah, **** it! He rushes out to meet the rest of the team, fusion lantern in hand, just barely able to make out the shapes of Tox and Khaine fighting... something. Wow... Tox is... fierce! He holds his fusion lantern up high in an attempt to make out the shapes hiding behind a cloud of dust and cheers her on as she lands a cutting blow against her foe. "Hah! Yes! Go, Tox! Show that punk what you're made of!" He yells out toward Tox, cheering her on as she fights. Excited, Brin moves in closer toward Khaine and Tox only to see Khaine caught in the grip of a large worm-like beast with a chitinous hide. Visibly rattled, but still excited, Brin pulls out his trusty Model 80 and yells out, "Aw cripes! What the hell is that?!"

I thought about that, but Tox has more strain right now... Khaine will probably still suffer further strain, so I could attempt to address that after. For my maneuver, I'm gonna draw my weapon, and get closer to the skirmish -- but after my Inspiring Rhetoric action! Inspiring Rhetoric -> Tox: 2eA+1eP+2eD 2 successes I opted against using Destiny, cause I will almost definitely need Destiny to help Khaine. So Tox heals 2 strain. ****, I really wish I purchased Improved Inspiring Rhetoric now XD Didn't know how often I'd like to use it, hahaha.

In that case, first Brin shouts some 'inspiring rhetoric' at Tox as she battles the creature (let's start repairing some of that strain damage... I'll have to think of some good rhetoric for IC, lol), and I'd like to use 1 destiny to upgrade the check. Just waiting for your okay before I roll it up.

So I am within short range of Tox and Khaine now (and I'm assuming that cost me my maneuver to get into this range band)? Is the light of my fusion lantern enough to make out what's going on? If so, should I roll for fear now?

I will volunteer to go next, I may also make everyone else's life easier if I run in there with my fusion lantern first, haha

I'm still okay if the rest of the fighters wanna go next. @Ahrimon at least, if you wanna act, the floor is yours. Brin hasn't seen the beasts, so I assume I also have to do a fear check at that point?

I would suggest that the successful vigilance roll would mean that the ambush failed and the PCs did, in fact, notice the adversaries before the ambush could take place. Just my take. But yes, we give you a pass I really like your GM style anyway, hahaha, so it'd feel weird to pick on you for this. EDIT: Vigilance could be played exactly how we did it just now too, short of starting an encounter. That was an opportunity for us to notice something was up, and some characters did.

Aw dang so close! DX do you guys want Brin to go next so the combat-oriented PCs don't waste their chance to fight?
