Hehe, gladly! Because the target hasn't acted yet, and with Neelig's advantage boost, I should be at GGGBBB. I just want to confirm with @Ryoden that the difficulty is the same before I make a roll.

Also wondering about that XD

Cool as a cucumber, Brin waits for Grakoon to walk in the room...
Stun Setting Surprise!: 3eA+2eB+1eD+1eC 1 success, 1 threat

The stun blast hits with one success, inflicting 7 strain damage before soak.

True - can I use this 'before the round starts' action in this way? If so, I'd definitely like to do that.
-
WELL DANG! Are we within short range from him if I understand the scenario correctly? Would anybody object if I popped my head out and tried to hit him with my stun setting? It'd be GGGBB before difficulty and setbacks.

With Fzaexx's ruse being quite successful, I guess Brin doesn't need to pile onto the sound effects!
If we dispatch him quickly enough, I'm veeeery interested in taking his comlink and canceling the order to have the mechanic head to the comms room!
Cool: 2eA+1eP 3 successes, 1 advantage, 1 Triumph

I'll volunteer @Hinklemar to type something IC ^_^. Brin will react to whatever sound he makes over the speakers.

Lol I'm willing to give it a shot.
An additional thought, if we are able to take out enough guards without rousing too much suspicion, I can attempt to bring us closer to whoever's in charge here by pretending to be a buyer/seller, kind of what we were talking about earlier briefly (with Tox and Neelig in binders). I imagine Fzaexx would be great at this too. But for now, let's take out those guards!

15 minutes ago, Ryoden said:Perhaps I should lay out the situation in the hold a little more numerically for everyone.
There appear to be 5 guards on the floor who are armored in some variety of laminate and armed with whips of some sort.
There is a guard on the catwalks who has a blaster rifle, whip and some grenades. (S'zish would have been able to see this easily)
There are dozens of slaves, easily into the 30's (their numbers are not as easy to count because of the way they are being held in the cargo pods.)
There are around 15 other Zygerrians. They are either patrons or managers and do not seem to be obviously armed.
There are ladders that lead down from the catwalk to the levels below. There is at least one (maybe two, I am still drawing the deckplan) turbolifts in the forward section of the ship.
I really wanted to ask this, but wasn't sure if we would know this. This helps a lot!

Me, I think we need to get this ship ready to go first to be on the safe side. Once the fireworks start we may not have time to fix the ship. As far as that goes I see three options. Try to fix it which could be pretty hard since the panels are fried (gone?), hook the hunchback up and wire in those controlls, or depending on its condition weld the TIE onto the frame and wire those controls into the ship. Regardless our base mechanics would be GYYB with the droids and I working together.
Regardless, Khaine isn't leaving until the slavers on this ship get to re-join the force.
2It's probably safe to assume that fixing anything will be very unlikely while the slaver presence is still aboard the ship. Also, it seems dangerous to set to work out here for other reasons (read, crazy worm things). Either way, whether we fix the ship out here or attempt to bring it back to Nar Shada, we should deal with the threat onboard first I think?
The purpose of Brin calming everyone is so that nobody runs off on their own and does anything reckless! We'll be much stronger as a unit that has decided to work together and watch each other's back, regardless of what the plan is.
To that effect, I move we start taking out as many guards as we can, as stealthfully as possible, taking advantage of S'zish's recon. We'll only have so long before they recognize our presence. Fzaexx might be able to warn us when guards are headed our way which could give us an advantage to vigilance/cool when starting fights. With enough of their security force removed, we might realistically start releasing captives.
I'm not difficult though. I'm just interested in the group agreeing on a direction that we can begin moving toward. XD

i would vote we use S'zish's advantageous position, combined with Neelig's and Tox's skills in melee combat to quietly take out the guards if we can, limiting the chance that we might alert anyone to our presence.
It looks to me like everyone is ready to bust the door down and take the slavers head on. That's not my number one choice, but in the interest of simplifying things and moving things forward, I think we should in fact move forward like that.
Posting schedules can make deliberations tough so I guess decisions that rely on everybody's involvement should be streamlined sometimes.
in terms of what Brin is doing, I've been trying to keep things simple by just 'following closely behind Khaine', so that fewer people have to make meaningful decisions and keep things moving XD that way, I'm there and ready to chime in when things go down.

Lol, I'm torn between doing what my character would do and what I want to do. I'm going to stick with the character even if it's going to bite me and possibly the group in the rear. ?
Character decision = most fun decision

I'll follow closely behind Khaine, weapon drawn and ready. Primarily, I'm looking for any security features that might work against us if things turn south. Maybe Brin can disable something before the enemy has a chance to use it.

More than likely this will just make him a bit more upset at the slavers. They are risking everyone's lives NOW, being calm would only prolong the suffering.
I think you're supposed to use my leadership stat to assist your discipline?? Since they're the same (GGY), I think that gives you a boost to your GGY roll for discipline. I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm mistaken.

double post, sorry

Does S'zish have a comlink? I didn't see one on his gear list.

Brin also likes the idea of S'zish running some recon -- if he does that, we should have somebody watching his back via the security feed. Whoever is most perceptive I suppose?

With his target being overwhelmed by Neelig and Tox, Brin takes a deep breath, lines up his shot (aim maneuver) and cooly fires at the guard with his Model 80 still in the stun setting.
Blasters set to stun (still): 3eA+4eB+1eD+1eC 6 successes, 1 advantage

12 strain damage before soak! And with 1 advantage, I'll give a boost to the next check.
