So there's probably no issue if I just go ahead and attempt an inspiring rhetoric to help mitigate all that strain. And I'm going to flip a destiny for it.
Inspire the team!: 2eP+1eA+2eD 3 successes, 1 threat, 1 Triumph

3 successes! So at the very least, S'zish, Tox and Khaine will each recover 1 strain. I'd like to use the triumph to have Khaine recover additional strain (a total of 4 strain maybe at GM's discretion?) .. could I even argue for giving Khaine a boost on his next check? Yeah I'm getting greedy, I know XD
As my maneuver, I'm gonna hand Tox one of my stun grenades, and as a second maneuver, I'm gonna take cover from the line of sight of the guards below.

Dayum things are really moving!! I've got my new phone up and going now so I should be able to keep up with things as they happen once more XD

Woo, I come back to see things are rolling along again! I have some catching up to do! XD

I'm opposed to nothing. I think it's fun when things get a little out of hand, hahaha. It can go great or it can go terribly, so I'm in. I also just thought about this - if she is a slave and she has Grakoon's weapon, in the current situation, she might try to gun him down. Huh.

Grab as in grab her attention.
it's all good, she should already head into the room on her turn because of my deception I believe.

2 minutes ago, Ryoden said:Oh, it would be much more than a simple maneuver to"grab her".
It's actually been some time since @Weedles and Fries has posted. Perhaps we should decide what to do.
May just have to play through until he's able to start posting again like we did before :\ give him until the end of today I suppose?

Well you see her stiffen up and look at the door. She stammers out a "Yessir" and looks at the gun in her hands as if trying to decide what to do.
(She needs to wait for her next turn to act)
Another player slot is next. Who's up?
Yeah , in one direction or the other, I definitely did not expect that result!

Lol, dog face, eh? I knew this mug of mine was good for something.
I'm going to flip 1 destiny as well to upgrade my deception once more.
Before I roll, I'm also gonna ask for a rule clarification on Smooth Talker - because I have one rank in this... each individual triumph can be spent as 1 success, is that correct? So I could spend two triumphs as two success at rank 1 where it would be 4 success at rank 2. (Just checking)
Deceiving the Mechanic: 3eP+2eB+1eC+2eD+2eS 1 success

WELL... guess it doesn't matter at this moment! But that was a success anyway! If only just barely! XD
After we see the results of this, I'll post something IC.

Doing his best to imitate the Zygerrian's voice, Brin yells out to the mechanic "Quit fooling around and get in here already!". Aware of the rifle in her hands, Brin motions to the rest of the team to get in position and to be ready to disarm her. He's hoping that yelling through the door will conceal any differences in their voices enough to convince the mechanic to enter their room.
Ryoden and Mattimeo84 reacted to this -
Would we have heard the orders given to the guards over the comlink?
-
Well... if there's no need to lure her in here, I guess at this point I would simply suggest we stand by to stun her or coerce her...? We probably want to get her help if she's willing to help, but first, we need to make sure she doesn't alert anyone to our presence. This is kind of tough in structured play when we're not responding to a particular threat because you want to make the most of your 'turn'.
In any event, Brin will still take the comlink from Tox. I just want to point out too that I'm surprised a single threat was enough to tip everybody off to our presence :\ that feels like a very significant effect for a one threat.

Since Khaine doesn't need to drag the body anywhere now (unless he still wants to drag the body further away), I'd like Brin to retrieve the comlink from so that he can convince the mechanic to enter this room first so that she can be escorted by an armed guard.
-
Just to be clear, Brin is asking Khaine to provide him with a good reason so that Brin can get on the comlink and deceive the mechanic.
-
-
Based on what's happening (and it'll be tough not to metagame after the IC posts), I'd like to get the mechanic into this room. I suggest then that we disarm her and either convince her to help us or if she seems like she won't, knock her out and examine her person for anything of use (datapad, schematics, tools, access cards, who knows). If Khaine is taking a turn right now, could Brin ask him to concoct a mechanically convincing reason why we could redirect the mechanic toward us instead?
-
I also think she's a slave. She's headed to where Fzaexx is though, isn't she? At the very least we should stop that from happening. It'll be dangerous to try to reason with her in case she isn't, so I also think stunning her is best.
-
Time to tell some lies I think
How shall we attempt to direct the mechanic? I think the guard's comlink should be quite useful in this scenario if we can pull off a convincing enough ruse!
-
Lol well dang. I'd like to hurry over and pick up his comlink. Time to stretch my deceptive muscles. What shall we tell the mechanic?

Great so I added another strain, and rather than being behind cover, I handed a grenade off to Tox
